The Mansion Investigation (Open)

Nictroftin Manor is a huge mansion atop a hill, overlooking the outskirts of downtown. It's surrounded by a dense forest, the only way back to civilization when the road is closed. Which is rather often due to a strangely high rate of landslides. It's said that horrible things lurk in that forest. Such as spectral wolves that will eat your soul and leave your body untouched, or the Shadewalker, a massive creature blending bird and reptile form, with a body made of pure shadow. Of course that's not even taking into account all the disappearances in the house proper.

In truth the mansion is not a mere house at all. It's an unbelievably powerful psychic entity. It's equally malicious, and uses it's powers to entrap victims and create illusions and psychic attacks to drive them mad or worse. The monsters in the forest are the strongest application of this, all of them mere extensions of the house that keep visitors from escaping. Your part of a large team of paranormal investigators come to research the house, but can you be the first to escape it?
