"Can Pepper live here with us? She can share my room."

she loooked kinda surprised. "OF course." she said. "I'd been trying to get her to stay here for a long time...she never said yes. If she wants to she's mpre then welcome." she smiled. "I should head out....i saw something on my way here with Pepper that i should go check out. I wont take long." she said standing.

Tristen:
"Be careful..okay." I said looking at her.

Cam
"You know me." she said. "Besides...I dont think it's dangerous...it's more of a personal matter that i have to take care of." she smiled. "I'ma just kick a little but and be back before you know it." she said heading for the door

Less
he came into the room from the kitchen. "should i go?" he asked Tristen.

Tristen:
I shook my head and looekd at Less. "No..we already orderd food..so whats the point."

Less
he nodded. "ok." he said

Cam
she went back to the place she thought she saw Alec and began to look around. she went to the park to look and there on a bench sat Alec. she couldnt help but smile a bit, she hadnt seen him awake since they were kids. she'd got him out of the cryo freezer but he was 'sleeping'. He was only yards away. she walked over and sat down next to him. "I never expected to see you again." she said. he smiled. "And I never expected you'd be living 'round here. why arent you home, with your family?" he asked. she looked down, "I got taken....about a year after you." she said, looking over at him. he looked at her. "I'm sorry." he said. she nodded. "It's fine though, I'm dealing." she smiled a little. "But uh, this town is covered with a hero and sidekick. what are you doing here?" she asked playing stupid. he shrugged. "I like to roam around." he said. "Well you might want to be careful round here, they watch this place real carefully, dont want to get caught where you're not suposed to be." he nodded. "I know. I just heard a rumor that you were here." she smiled. "Well, thanks for caring enough to come check. you know.....i got chineese food on it way to my place....why dont you come over, I'm willing to share my portion." she smiled. he nodded. "Sounds like a plan." he said and they got up and walked back to Cam's house.

I smiled and went up and hugged him. "I feel like I've made a mess of everything.." I sighed.

Less
he hugged her back. "Not everything, and messes can be cleaned up. just some take more time." he said

(Sorry, went shopping, did some studying, napped, studied, played W.O.W., and then finally got on. Again, sorry.)

Pepper- I stood up and walked around carefully, trying to get as comfortable with walking as possible with my ankle this way. A bird let out a shrill cry and I jumped, landing on my ankle wrong again. I hissed in pain, gripping the window sill to stay upright. I slowly lowered myself down to the floor and pulled up my pant leg. A lot of the cuts had opened up again and started bleeding.

Cam
she got back with Alec. "come on in, I have to go check on someone. you can come if you want. she said and he shrugged. Alec followed me up the stairs and to Tristen's room. "Hey Pepper, I've come to check on those bandages."

Pepper- I glowered. Great. Just my luck. I rolled up my pant leg again and showed her the bled-through 'bandages' she'd put on my leg, trying not to let her see the pain on my face from my ankle.

Cam
Alec stood leaning against the door frame. "Pepper." she sighed. "You cant be to active." she said. she looked at Alec. Bathroom downstairs has Porocide (SP) and I need a bowl of water and a rag. can you please get that?" he nodded and walked off

Pepper- "I don't like sitting still," I complained, folding my arms across my chest.

Cam
"Well if you dont it wont heal right, and you'll keep opening those scratches"

Pepper- "Heal right, Shmeal right," I mumbled, glaring as the boy came back in with the Peroxide.

Cam
"Thank you Alec" she smiled up at him. she started cleaning the blood. "Pepper, You need to take care of yourself when you're hurt or bad things might happen. your ankle might not heal right if you keep walkin on it and you'll alwyas have a pain in it when you walk." she said

Pepper- "Then I'll ignore the pain, I'm used to it by now," I said, folding my arms across my chest once more, biting my cheek to keep from hissing in pain when the Peroxide touched a few open cuts. "I don't like being hurt, I can do even less than I already can," I told her, resting my chin on my good knee.

Cam
"Pepper you are usefull in your own way, you just have to figure out what that way is."

Pepper- "Yeah, I'm useful if you want a dumb red head with anger issues," I said grumpily.

Cam
"When you get better I'll help you train ok? i promise, you're never useless. not to me."

Pepper- "Train what, Cam?" I asked, not being snotty or reproachful, just matter-of-fact. "I don't even know how to move a star a centimeter out of place or make the heat of it increase or decrease or anything. I can't do anything with it! You had someone to tell you exactly what you need to do to use your power, and I don't. As far as we know, I'm the only star-user out there, and I don't have the slightest idea what I'm supposed to do."

Cam
"Get you up to beat on self-defence. and whatever you can do with stars you practice that. only with practicing what you know do you learn more about what you can do. I didnt learn from a fire user or even someone that could fly. my powers had nothing to do with the hero i was put with. it's the training that's always the same, only it's the person that changes it to suit themselves."

Pepper- "I know nothing about my power! All I know is that they said that unless my other power doesn't develop soon and is actually useful, then nobody'll ever hear from me again!" I said the last part without the least trace of remorse or anger in my voice, still using my matter-of-fact tone.

Cam
"Well they havent delt with me. Pepper I'm not letting anything happen to you. I'm not lossing someone again." she said. "You stay here, they'll have to go through me." she said finishing with her leg. "We're like sisters and I'm not letting them take you, you got that." she said
