Mallory:
"I know. We always are," I said softly and smoothed his hair.

I squeeze her hand softly and close my eyes, just wanting to sleep now

Mallory:
i smoothed his hair with my other hand and rubbed his back slowly, soothing him into sleep.

I eventually fall asleep with a sigh.

Jake
I was placed in a small room, the floor was a ratty mattress, I saw it before they put the goggles, earmuffs, and weird devices on my hands to basically cut out any sensory input.

Mallory:
You doing okay there, Jake? I asked him.

I can't feel see or hear anything. No in not" I say back to her

I sent him images, at random. Smells, sights, sounds, everything.

Reya:
I rubbed my eyes and looked at Tyler.
"How are you?" I asked him.

Tyler
I wake up from the tree branch I was asleep on. I look up at Reya and yawn. " I'm fine.. Amy idea where we are?"

Reya:
"No, not yet," I said softly.

I nod a little and rest my head against the tree. "You'd think they'd be out by now.." I say softly

Reya:
"Are you worried?" I asked him and rubbed his back.

I nod a little "I just hope they are ok" I say. "Which way do you want to go now?"

Reya:
"Let's just keep going in this direction, okay? We'll have to find civilization at some point," I sighed and wrapped an arm around him.

I nod and wrap my arm around her as well as we start walking. "Are you ok?"

Reya:
"Yeah," I smiled a little.

Reya:
I heard cars soon enough and I exhaled in relief.

I smile a little as we neared more people. it was weird I never thought id be happy to be around strangers, or in a city with people. but now it was a relief.

Reya:
"We can find a place to sleep now," I smiled.

somewhere that isn't a tree, anyway." I say with a small laugh as we head into town. Looking around I noticed that people here were dressed nicely, looking at us we looked like a couple of homeless kids. Which I guess we are. "Do we have any money from the old house? im hungry"

Reya:
"Yeah, we have money," I said softly and smoothed his hair. "Let's find a motel first, okay?"

I nod a bit. "Want me to fly and find one? or do you just want to walk?"

Reya:
"We're not supposed to show our wings - or in my case ears and tail, to people," I said to him and pulled my multi-colored beanie farther down.
