Perfect Assassins

Kyle:

We got to a hotel and I carried her in. After I laid her on the bed I got a wash cloth and started sponging the blood off of her.

Lexi groaned softly in her sleep but didn't wake up.

((goodnight. I have to be up early all this week and enxt. -.-))

Kyle:

I peeled her bloody shirt off and replaced it with one of my own. I laid down next to her once I was finished and put my arm around her.

((Alright, sweet dreams!))

Lexi sighed deeply in her sleep and smiled, curling up against him, careful of her wound.

Kyle:

I fell asleep next to her, one arm around her, one hand resting on her hip.

Lexi woke up after a while with a big yawn. She kissed Kyle's cheek lovingly, snuggling up against him.

Kyle:

I mumbled incoherently and pulled her closer automatically.

Blakely:

I glanced at them from my spot at the window, keeping watch. “Lexi?” I whispered knowing I would get a snarky response only if Kyle was awake enough to hear it.

"What the hell do you want?" Lexi whispered, looking up.

Blakely:

I went over and sat on the ground leaning against the other bed. “Krissy thinks I’m dead.” I stated looking at the carpet.

"Yeah...And?" Lexi asked, frowning.

I looked up at her. “Kyle doesn’t want me to see her. He doesn’t want her to know. You don’t think that’s wrong?”

"Honestly? No. She's going through a lot and she's with someone...And..." She looked at Kyle to make sure he was asleep. "She's...Never mind." She thought about telling him that Krissy was preggers but it was probably best to keep that a secret.

“She’s what? And yeah, I know about Michael, Kyle’s filled me in on that well enough.” I said dully. “But she needs to know regardless. You know she’d want to. She’s going to feel betrayed as it is that I’ve been gone so long without telling her. For the longest time I didn’t even know that’s what she thought..”

"Then where the hell did you go? You just dropped off the face of the planet with Mel and Zane," Lexi growled.

“I was locked up, obviously. And once I… got out, I tried to find her, I found Kyle and he filled me in on everything, this was several months ago.. He told me what she thought had happened and I decided I needed a little time to sort things out before facing her. Time just got away from me after that. Knowing about Michael made it easier to stay away as well.”

"Locked up. And you didn't think to try and get a message to one of us? As much as I hate your guts sometimes, any of us would've risked our lives to save you and bust you out," Lexi said.

“That wasn’t possible. Thankfully your help wasn’t needed. Someone else found out and got me out. If there had been another way, I would have taken it. I had only just got Krissy back, being locked up was just about the only thing that could have kept me away from her.” I said miserably.

Lexi sighed. "I'm sorry... If any of us had known..." her voice trailed off.

I shrugged. “What’s don’t is done.” I was back to staring at the carpet. “But you have to understand that I need to see her now. Because what happened wasn’t my fault. And she has the right to know.”

"She had the right to know when you got out too. I'm getting really tired of Kyle keeping secrets like this from me. It's like he doesn't trust me anymore...." Lexi sighed.

I shrugged. “Anyway. I need your help convincing him. I know you don’t care for me much, but just think about Krissy.”

Lexi sat there and sighed. "If she found out I knew, even if I was injured, she'd still beat the crap out of me. Fine. I'll help."

I smiled knowing that’s exactly what Krissy would do. “Thank you.”

"Don't thank me yet. He hasn't even waken up yet," Lexi played with Kyle's hair.

I got to my feet and leaned over her so my face was close to Kyle’s. “Hey!” I yelled. “The hell?” Kyle said as her jerked back.
