Long ago a republic known as the Eradian Republic stood over many millions of planets, they were protected by this republic at all costs, although most were not inhabited by sentient life but every world, or charge, under the protection of this republic had the potential to one day birth a sentient life form. This was a rare commodity and so they were prized above all else and every time a world evolved a sentient life form the Republic waited. As soon as the race was old enough, they were brought into the Republic’s ruling council. Each world with a sentient race upon its surface was granted a seat in this great alliance of worlds, where one seat would equal one vote, so no matter how old a race was they had an equal share of power. There were however six races with more political power than any others in this republic, for they were both its founders and its protectors.
These six Races were known as the Guardianship. Although they allowed the other races to have their own military’s it was the Guardianships military which provided the bulk of the Republics defenses. As well as this the Guardians were given many different rights which were not rewarded to the rest of the republic simply because they were not its founders. The first of these was the political power they were able to wield, rather than just having one seat on the council, they had different amount of seats depending on the order in which they joined republic. The second thing they would only do within the Guardianship, and no others, was they traded technology with each other. Others of lesser technology were allowed to donate technology to the defense of the republic, if it was a technology which the Guardians didn’t have at the same level, but the Guardians did not give them technology to prevent damaging their society. The final gift the Guardians were given was the fact they were allowed to move to the Planet Eradia, should they choose too, which was considered the most holy place in the hole of the republic to all those who knew of it. This was for one reason and one reason, they believed that Eradia was the first inhabited planet in the universe, and it was their belief that Eradia was the birth place of the creator of the psychic field, or the All mother, which all races of the universe have, even if they were not sentient, though most races only had a latent field which had very little effect on the being other than allowing them to live. Without this field no being would be able to live. The all mother was born of a race of super intelligent beings, known only as the first.
The first Guardians were the true founders of this great republic. They were the Eradians; they were a breed of a race known as the Reptilliaus, although all of the Reptilliaus were the same intelligence and had practically the same DNA as each other, only the Eradians were considered as one of the six Guardians as only they took an active interest in republican politics. They were the true descendants of the All mother, and as the first members of the republic they were allowed to have seven seats on the council. They had the second most powerful psychic field in the universe, although each Eradian had a different strength field depending on their blood type. When talking about Eradian blood types it referred to the third blood cell they have, which is essential to the control of their psychic field. There were four kinds Safire, this was the rare kind of blood and the Eradian with this kind of blood had weak psychic abilities, well it gave them practically no abilities to speak of, it only gave them the ability to block out mind readers, although like all blocking abilities this varied at how effective it was. The second blood type was diamond which gives the Eradian average psychic abilities. These consisted of telekinesis, telepathy, the ability to read minds and the ability to block out other mind readers. The third blood type is Opal which gave an Eradian strong psychic abilities which were exactly the same as a Diamond bloods but slightly more powerful.
The final blood type was Pearl which was the rarest blood type of all and gives the Eradian very strong psychic abilities, which once again were exactly the same as he Diamond blood’s abilities but beyond the strength of all others. Their blocking powers were so potent that only other Pearl bloods could read their minds, or another race with exceptionally powerful telepathic skills. They could also use a very unique weapon; the bronze scepter which focused the beings psychic field itself into a destructive beam of energy. However having Pearl blood did give an Eradian a small problem, it was almost like a split personally, which they call a ‘Daiga sirga’ or in human ‘dark spirit,’ and should they give in to this they become much more power. However they not only become lost to darkness, but over time mutate into another being completely. When young it is easy for them to return to their normal selves, since the ‘Daiga sirga’ is also a child but as an adult it is very rare that they return from it. Even within the different blood types their strength varied mainly depending on how much the Eradian trained, some Eradians had even been known to train so much their blood type changed, but that had only happed twice in their entire written history. An Eradians most powerful natural asset was not their psychic powers, nor was it their intellect which vastly outweighed nearly every other race. It was in fact the very thing which gave them their two nick names, Shape shifters and changelings, they could shape shift into different forms of organic life. The Eradians formed the back bone of the republic’s medical and infantry personnel, as well as having the most power in the council. The race; had in fact evolved on the same planet as the first and were now the oldest race in the galaxy. Like most races in the galaxy, it was in fact only humans who did not age like this; they aged one year for every human millennium, they called this a galactic year.
The next race to join the ranks of the Guardianship were the Catars, they had six seats on the council. They did not get their name by their cat like appearance as humans believe but in fact due to the name of their home planet, Catarac. One of their most notable aspects was the fact they had the most powerful psychic field in the universe. Their abilities were exactly the same as an Eradian Pearl blood, but even the weakest Catar could read a Pearl bloods mind, the effort it took depended on the Pearl blood. Catars did however have two powers Eradians did not. One they could make a blast of pure energy using nothing other than their psychic field, the other ability was that of seeing the future, although this was never fixed as the future could always change. For reasons which are beyond even the smartest Catar Scientists, their genetic makeup is very similar to Eradians which allowed them to cross breed with Eradians. They acted mainly as trainers and teachers for the Republic, this was in fact due to the same reason why the Eradians deemed them worthy to join the guardianship. They were hyper-intelligent, by which it meant that even the dumbest Catar still had an IQ of 250. This meant that although they were a much younger race the Eradians, in fact they achieved space travel about fifty thousand galactic years after the Eradians had, by which time the Eradians had gained a much higher technological level, but they made the Catar’s guardians of the already massive republic believing that their hyper-intelligence would allow them to incorporate Eradian technology into their own society without causing themselves harm. The Eradian’s were more right than they could have possibly imagined, when the Catar scientists got a hold of the technology they not only incorporated it into their own society with no harm, but they also started a technological golden age which would put the Guardianship ahead of any race in the vast universe by thousands, if not millions of galactic years.
From the moment the Catar’s joined, and started to teach the Eradians, the republic became a heaven for all those who resided in it, even if they were not at a technological standard where the Guardians of the republic felt they could reveal themselves too them. In fact most of the Eradian Republic’s laws were adopted from the Catar legal system. Another thing that the Catar’s could never explain however was no matter what planet they observed in the republic, they may have called her by different names, but every sentient race worshiped the All Mother, which in their minds proved categorically that she existed, not that they needed proof with the extensive records kept from the first.
Next to become guardians were the Barica. They had five seats in the republic. Not much was known about them as even after they joined they were very secretive indeed. One of the few things actually known about them was that they were the second to join and had a strong code of honor which dictated even their battles. They were by far the finest worriers the Republic had to offer. It was said that they would lay down their own lives rather than break their code of honor. It was only this code which granted them entry into the Guardians of the Republic. They were by far the youngest race in the republic; they somehow achieved space flight while they were still using steam power. For decades the council of the republic, although very small at the time, debated time and time again whether they should be made guardians. Most believed their technological evolution happened too quickly and it was dangerous to trust such a being who was so secretive. But in the end their code of honor won them entry into the Guardianship. When the republic was losing a battle the Barica would strike without warning, bringing the light of the all mother with them. Blasting enemy heavy weapons and bases from orbit before landing their troops on the ground to deliver the final blow. They shattered all enemies that stood before them, as the republic had enemies, not many at first but they were there. It was in this fashion that they won the most victories for the republic and quickly took on the role of elite strike forces, becoming the most elite forces the republic had to offer. Combining the technologies of the republic, with the tactical experience of a race like theirs. They possessed a very unique psychic field which had never been seen before. Instead of having a field which granted them abilities, such as telepathy, they instead possessed a field which granted them a joint mind, meaning that no one thought belonged to one person. They all possessed one mind, yes they could shut parts of their mind off from others, allowing them some privacy, but their minds were always connected. Which provided limitless tactical advantages, for they could change a tactic with nothing other than an uttered thought, as such their communications was not pray to the jamming technologies which could cripple the rest of the guardians. They combined all of these with lightning fast attacks, which were over in the blink of an eye, superior military tactics, energy absorbing armour which made nearly all energy based weapons redundant, and finally the fact they did not breed. They instead grew their young, to maturity in a matter of days. They ‘breed’ by taking two samples of DNA from the parents, and giving them to a special scientist called a Bio-mechanic, who injected the two DNA samples into a vile which then created an embryo, these embryos were then placed into a chamber which allowed the young to mature, without these chambers the Embryo’s would stay Embryo’s indefinitely. The viles, the chambers which matured the Embryo and the Bio-mechanic’s themselves spent nearly all their time on specialist ships called Maturation craft. These craft gave the Barica an un-imaginable edge, the fact most forces took decades to create a combat ready battalion, the Barica could do it in a matter of weeks. All of these factors are which made them the most elite forces the republic had.
After the Barica were the Time operatives, granted four seats on the council, who were also known as Ancient humans. They evolved millions of years before your humans were even single celled organisms. Although they did not achieve intergalactic space travel until they became guardians of the republic, this was for the very specific reason. Rather than developing technologies which would allow them space travel, they took advantage of their unique cell which allowed them to time travel without suffering the unique mutagenic radiation which it caused, and developed various methods of time travel. This is in fact why the republic made them members of the guardianship, as they could defend the republic from enemies who would suffer the mutations of time travel, believing it a gift from their dark gods, to make the republic fall. The time travel cell, which also granted them the ability to know when the time line had been changed and even remember the original time line, also allowed them to cross breed with any race in existence. They were exactly the same as the current evolution of humans, genetically speaking. As for the fact the guardians moving to holy Eradia, they were the only race that not a single being moved to Eradia but they stayed on Earth and monitored the time line, protecting the republic the way no else could. Their field was very weak, and only allowed them limited mind reading abilities, although to be blocked out most races wouldn’t have to try simply know there was a mind reader in the room.
The next were the Elementors, awarded three seats, these were masters of the elements and formed the back bone of the republican fleet as well as legends such as Mother Nature and Poseidon, this was granted to them by their field. They could control fire, water, air, metal, and even most forms of energy. They were allowed into the guardianship of the republic for one reason, their space ships. Although they didn’t make weapons which their troops could use, as they didn’t think they needed them, their space ships were the most powerful ships in the republic. They provided the largest of the seven great space fleets defending the republic, the seven were one from each of the six races and one from the holy temple of the republic. The Elementors space fleet were un-matched by any race, in fire power, speed, mobility and shields.
The final race was the Gagorans; awarded two seats, they were aliens that live inside a shell, this shell was filled with the liquid that sustained them. They were granted guardianship of the republic for one main reason, they were truly honest. In the thousands of years there race had been around they had never had a single war between countries. In the entire history of their planet they had had only had a single crime, even that was only petty theft. Their field granted them technopathic abilities. Inside this shell they were very similar in appearance to a human. Their primary job was to guard and transport prisoners. They rarely sullied the hands in combat but when they did they would keep fighting until the enemies of the republic were vanquished.
For more years than they were able to count peace rained but then the great-war came. The war which we face now it is fought between the republic and a group that broke away, they call themselves the Daiga Litharum, or to use English, Dark empire, and every republican that joins this dark force changed in appearance over time, for reasons un-known to anyone save those who were in it. They are lead by a pearl blood who has given in to his dark spirit named Yasailk.
