Perfect School

Jonah:

The silence of the room was somehow comforting. Kira wasn’t one who needed verbal communication to feel comfortable being with someone. I didn’t say a word to her until there was a knock at the door for room service.

“I’ll get it,” I said but I waited a moment. Before I went to the door, I tugged off my shirt leaving me bare chested. The girl at the door with our cart stared at me for a second before her eyes made it to my face. I knew I was not the most handsome guy. Women were usually attracted to me because of how I made them feel, not how I looked. So it was gratifying seeing the girl gawk at my body. I thanked her and took our breakfast inside.

I glanced at him as he got up and inspected his physique for a moment before turning back to the view and moving over to the center of the window. I basked in the warmth of the sun as I kept sipping at my latte. While I was hungry I didn't turn away from the window when the door shut, instead I remained right where I was, content to enjoy the sunshine a little bit longer.

Jonah:

The way she stood with the sun behind her, I could see the shape of her body through her shirt. There was something secret about seeing under her clothing even though I had seen her in her sports bra a million times.

“Breakfast is here,” I said, taking in the smell of the fresh food. The sun was in my eyes when I looked over at her but I didn’t squint.

I turned my head to glance at him and nodded. Letting out a soft breath I turned and looked at the covered plates before into his face as I moved closer. His eyes made me pause for a moment before I walked up to him and with chin tipped back I gave my head a slight tilt as I studied the blue hue. "Your eyes are beautiful this morning." I smiled faintly then turned towards the food, focusing on the meal while my mind was still on his eyes.

Jonah:

I chuckled. I was getting all sorts of female attention today. Maybe it was Vegas. I reached behind her to grab my shirt and shrugged it on.

“Thank you,” I said simply. Good to know that she liked my eyes. I moved the cart to the small round table and took a seat. “Are you ready for today?” I asked.

"We have to find the man, make it look like he killed himself, and go without setting off any alarms or making people suspect us or Marie. Challenging perhaps but not out of the realm of our skill range." I sat across from him and crossed my legs as I pulled one of the covered plates before me and uncovered it. Inspecting it for a moment I pushed it towards him and took the other one which had food more to my liking than his.

Jonah:

I enjoyed challenging.  If it wasn’t challenging, it was boring.  I had no doubt that we would succeed.  Breakfast was good, but I hurried through it so we could get to the rest of our day.  We dressed nicely, Kira in another dress, I in a suit.

We were down in the casino four a few hours before we saw anything of our target.  When he did come down, he had three watchful bodyguards with him.  That was when Kira and I really put on the act.  No one could have mistaken us for anything accept a love-struck couple with eyes only for each other all the while we were sizing the guy and his party up.

Knowing he was more observant I did what I could to be in line for him to pretend to be gazing at me while actually gazing at the target. It was little tricks, like dashing ahead out of excitement and then turning and beckoning him to come quickly. Or pointing things out here and there. Though the mark on my neck had yet to fade I made sure to get my revenge by leaving lipstick kisses on his skin. One to the side of his neck and another on the opposite cheek.

Jonah:

While being with Kira this way was enjoyable, my mind was focused more on getting information on our target. Over the course of the day we learned some of their mannerisms and some of their weaknesses. They took meal breaks quickly and in pairs. That was the greatest weakness.

That evening I got a phone book and looked up escorts. It was Vegas so there were a lot of them, but the question was on their acting capabilities. “We should have brought Kyra along on this trip,” I muttered over our dinner from room service.

I glanced at the phone book then up at him. "If she saw what you were looking at when you mentioned that she would have every right to slap you." I stood next to him, having remained in my dress for the evening as I leaned over the phone book. "Zero could find us what we needed as well you know. But we should do this ourselves." I tapped one of the listings, deciding that by design alone it seemed the best.

Jonah:

I called the one she indicated. I asked for their best girls, claiming that I had a couple friends who had a hard time with the ladies and I wanted them to enjoy their time here. When asked what attire I wanted, I asked for modest and classy. I didn’t want it to be too obvious that they were hired.

I listened for a moment then went to the window, gazing out over the city as all the lights became more prominent. I watched for only a few moments before I went off to my room and to my suitcase to see just what I wanted to wear for bed. As I was pawing through the choices I paused on two articles of clothing. Pulling them out I inspected them for a moment then looked to Jonah for a moment. Snorting and shaking my head I tossed them back onto the suitcase. As much as I wanted to go swimming, I wasn't going to go swimming in a bikini. Not when I was going to have to bring Jonah along. When he would have to be touching me a lot during it.

"Are we planning on going down for dinner or ordering in?" I called eventually as I tossed them back into the suitcase.

Jonah:

“Order in, I want to work on things,” I told her. Without explanation, I left the suite telling her I would be back in a few minutes and to order whatever she liked. I said it with the door wide open. Once in the hall, I wandered down a ways before making a phone call. I made it seem like I was talk to another woman, that I was telling her about my ‘business trip’ and that I wish she could have joined me.

When I returned to our room I pulled out the lap top and pulled up the feed from the hidden cameras I had placed in the hallway outside the targets room.

"Fine, I'll be in my room when you finish." I moved out into the living room, cocking my head after he stepped out.  Staring at the door for a moment I brushed it off and ordered a dinner for us both as well as a dessert to 'share'.  After leaving instructions for them to simply bring it into the room and drop it off I went off into my bedroom and shut the door.  Shedding the dress I decided that if I couldn't have a chance to go to the pool I'd make due with what I could get.

It took some time, but soon enough the large tub was full to the brim, and even included bubbles.  Sinking into it with a sigh I closed my eyes and laid my head back.  As much as I hated to admit it, it was nice to relax like this.

Jonah:

The next day was split between following the target around and doing our own thing so as not to be suspicious. We saw a Cirque du Soleil show that evening that captivated us both. As talented as we were with our bodies, we could never have done things like that. After that we found the target again and joined him and his body guards in the audience of a magic show.

I had to admit, the magicians were talented with slight of hand. There were some things even I couldn’t catch and only understood how they were done by analyzing the possibilities. There was only one trick I couldn’t understand how it had been done.

By the end of the night we were ready to finish the job. Two of the guards had been taken by the escorts we hired, and the other two had been drinking through the night along with our target, even if it was light drinking, it gave us an edge. Before we went up for the evening, Kira slipped something in the guard’s drinks to muddle their memory. We went up to sneak into their suite and prepare for the kill. It was far easier than I had anticipated.

The more I thought back to what we'd done and what I'd experienced on the trip, the harder it was to tell where the lines were drawn in the sand. If I rewound the clock a few years ago it wasn't even lines in a sand. It was solid steel walls built around myself. But over time, and the help of a handful of people those walls were stripped away bit by bit. Jonah was the core of that problem.

The Cirque du Soleil show was amazing to watch, feats of skill and acrobatics that none of us could hope to achieve. Our bodies were too set in our ways and it would take years to undo and then further years to achieve the same kind of mastery. To top it all off the magic show had been it's own kind of fun. I'd never before seen things like this and like most of the audience I was caught under the spell that the dexterous and nimble handed man cast with every trick.

In a way the deftness of the man reminded me of Jonah and how he had pushed and distracted in all the ways necessary to leave me rather defenseless. It created a hesitation in my decision making. A hesitation that I doubted even Jonah was aware of. I performed my job perfectly thus far but somewhere in the back of mind I felt this sense of wrongness to what I was doing. And I didn't like it.

Jonah:

The job went smoothly. The guards were knocked out. They would wake up to find their master had bled himself to death in the bathtub. All signs of struggle had been removed. If they did an autopsy on the man, they would find signs of asphyxiation, but the death was from bleeding out. I doubted the guards would want the matter looked into that closely.

As for Kira and I, we went back to our room. I removed the cameras I had planted, and we ordered dinner in. Marie wanted us to stay for another two days to avoid suspicion. I thought it was excessive, but who was I to refuse her? After all it only meant that Kira and I would play the part of a couple a little longer. Without the job hanging over us, my whole attention would be on her and how to make her tick.

The next morning the police came to ask questions. It was the standard did you see or hear anything unusual last night. We gave them everything that normal people would have noticed. We mentioned the four body guards, and that we had seen them at a few shows the past few days, but nothing else seemed odd.

“Now that that’s done, what shall we do today?” I asked Kira. We had taken the time to look like we had just woken up when there was the knock at the door. She was wearing one of my shirts, which came to her mid-thigh, while I was wearing only pants.

"Gamble perhaps? Unless you know of any more shows going on. Wasn't their an Opera you were looking at earlier?" I turned to look at him after closing and relocking the door. Folding my arms I moved over to the window and gazed out over the city a moment.

Being so dressed in just his shirt and a pair of panties was different, though I couldn't say it wasn't in it's own way comfortable. I'd come into the state of dress after we'd both been awake and a knock at the door had interrupted our breakfast. I was the one to check it out and seeing who it was I turned to snap my fingers and grab his attention. "Police." I had called softly, to which he threw off his shirt onto the back of the couch. Letting him take my place to answer the door I snagged his shirt and went into my room. Stripping out of my shirt, sports bra, and shorts I threw on his shirt then took a breath. Letting it out slowly I'd adopted a sleepy smile and practically skipped out to join him. Winding my arms around his waist I had peeked out from behind him and answered the police's questions.

And now I was watching him, waiting for his response while inwardly debating it if was worth it to settle back down and enjoy the rest of breakfast and my coffee.

Jonah:

I made myself another espresso then moved over to her spot by the window.  I looked out over the newly lit city for a long moment before I looked down at her.  I had to admit, I liked her in my shirt.  I liked the way she looked and I liked the way she had felt with her arms around me.  She was warm, and soft with only the thin layer of fabric between the two of us.  

“Would you really want to go to an opera?” I asked her with a slanted smile.  I enjoyed classical music, something I knew Kira did not share my interest on.

"It isn't my style of music. But who knows. Maybe it's better live. Besides what else would we do for the next few days? Might as well get the full experience.". With a shrug I walked over to him to pick up my own mug. "We might as well get ready for the day." Carrying the coffee with me I entered my room and left the last of my clothes on my bed before heading towards the shower.

Jonah:

My eyes lingered on her as she left. Even if they weren’t very long, she had nice legs. I got dressed, having already showered first thing when I woke up. While I waited for Kira, I looked into operas playing that evening and picked one that would be most enjoyable for Kira. I bought the tickets then stepped out into the hallway. I made another call like I had made the other night. I explained to the fictional mistress that there had been a death in the hotel and that we had been questioned. It was a short call, but by the time I was bac in the room, Kira was ready.

Once dressed after my shower I picked up my room a bit then went out to join him. "So what plans do we have today? Did you decide?" Adjusting my dress to sit better at my legs I finally looked up at him and brought my clutch close to my body.

Jonah:

“We can go gamble for a while, have lunch, gamble some more or site-see until the show then have dinner and return here,” I said while pulling on my over jacket. I offered out my hand as I moved to the door. “You look lovely, no one would ever suspect you were anything more,” I murmured to her.

"Hm.  I don't know when or even if we will be able to come back here one day.  Let's take in the sights before it's time has passed."  It didn't take long to come up with the idea.  While gambling was enjoyable, I wanted to create things I could remember.  It was the experiences I wanted over anything else. His final word as I took his hand made me hesitate for longer than necessary before I took up his hand. "Thank you." I murmured.

Jonah:

“Very well my love,” I said once we were out in the hallway. “We can site-see all you want.” The rest of the day went by quickly. It was enjoyable to spend time with Kira without having to constantly have my mind on the job. I was able to focus entirely on her.

After the Opera, we went back to the hotel for dinner. We ordered drinks because it was what was expected from the people we were playing, but I drank mine slowly throughout the meal. Still, I couldn’t help but feel like the alcohol was affecting me.
