Beyond the Castle, part one. (Two person.)

Ario:

I smiled weakly. "Even if you have to take care of me everyday?" I said teasing a bit.

Araline:

"Even if I have to take care of you forever and always. You're worth it." I said smiling and winking at him playfully.

Ario:

I blinked and smiled, before closing my eyes as a faint blush came to my cheeks.

Araline:

I smiled watching him blush. What he said yesterday suddenly came rushing back to me and I bit my lip.

Ario:

I kept my eyes closed as the blush slowly faded away. I opened them slowly and looked at her.

Araline:

I looked back at him for a long moment before dropping my gaze to the ground. "How are you feeling now? Do you think you could sit up?" I asked.

Ario:

"Well, I wont know unless I try." I said sitting up slowly. Once I was sitting up I looked at her. "Are you ok? You look like something is on your mind."

Araline:

I moved to sit behind him and looked over his back. there were a couple scrapes here that I hadn't seen. They were probably made worse by me pulling him last night. "I was just thinking how we are going to get back." I lied as I dabbed the cuts with the shirt. "I don't see how we are going to get back together with the condition you are in and since neither of us know where the cave is I don't feel comfortable leaving you to try to find it."

Ario:

"So what do you want to do then?" I asked her wincing at the stinging I felt when she washed my scrapes.

Araline:

I finished then hugged him gently from behind. "Wait it out." I said, my chin lightly resting on his shoulder.

Ario:

I blinked in surprise at her hug, but I didn't complain. I rested my hands on her arms, rubbing them gently as I closed my eyes again.

Araline:

I sighed softly. "On the bright side," I said, "At least I didn't have to eat any of that rabbit."

Ario:

I laughed softly at that and nodded. "Thats true, but we are going to have to do something about food."

Araline:

"Oh." I said reaching for the strawberries I had picked yesterday. I had set them at the base of the tree. I unfolded the leaf and held them out to him. A few were slightly squished but most of them were fine.

Ario:

"Well well, are you sure you need me around? You seem to be able to get by just fine." I said winking at her playfully.

Araline:

"I didn't say I needed you, I said I wanted you." I said taking a strawberry.

Ario:

"Why do you want me?" I asked. I looked at her my eyes dancing teasingly.

Araline:

"I meant I want you to stay with me. And it's because you are the only person who knows me." I said.

Ario:

"Actually I hardly know you at all. I can't tell you anything about your likes or dislikes. Well beyond being flirted with." I shrugged absently before laying back and closing my eyes.

Araline:

I stared at him taken aback. "Excuse me?" I asked raising my eyebrows.

Ario:

I looked up at her. "Maybe that is just my impression. But at the castle you were surrounded by guys who flirted with you every chance they could." I shrugged. "You seemed glad that I didn't do it, so I made that connection."

Araline:

“Oh, well... Hmm. I never really thought about it. I just liked getting away from them to be with you because you weren’t any thing like them.” I said hugging my knees again.

Ario:

"In the beginning I had no idea how to act around a Princess admittedly, so I just decided to just be a friend." I said closing my eyes again. I just didn't mean to start getting feelings for you as well...

Araline:

“I’m not technically a princess. How many times do I have to tell you?” I said pulling my hair back.

Ario:

I shrugged. "A ton more. Besides, its how a lot of people saw you."
