Kyle:

I rubbed her back gently for a while until Krissy came up to us. “Sparkler?” She held out a pack and slowly twirled her own.

Ebony:

My back arched a bit into his hand. I did it without thinking, my mind tended to respond to rubbing or scratching much like a cat would.

Kyle:

I took a sparkler and Krissy lit it. I held it out to Ebony.

Ebony:

I took the sparkler and smiled watching the sparks. I was really enjoying myself, it was sweet of them to do this.

Krissy:

I went to the back of the car again and got the last box, I wasn't the best at making a finally, I was more the starting off with a bang and burning through them all quickly. I set the last few up and lit them with my sparkler.

Ebony:

I turned to watch what Krissy was doing, my excitement building again at being able to see more fireworks.

Krissy:

I arranged them then set the fuse so they would go off two at a time and I wouldn't have to go back and forth to lite them

Ebony:

I practically bounced excitedly watching the fireworks expectantly. I couldn't wait for them to go off.

Michael:

I went over to Krissy and took her hand in mine. "She loved them." I whispered quietly.

Krissy:

I smiled and lit the fuse then backed up pulling him with me. I glanced over at Ebony I said, “I can kinda tell.” I grinned at him.

Michael:

I kissed her cheek and said softly. "It was sweet of you two to do this."

Ebony:

I watched the fuse excitedly, trying hard but failing horribly not to bounce.

Kyle:

I chuckled holding Ebony to be while she bounced. I watched the last of the fireworks waiting for them to go off.

Krissy:

“I wanted to play with them just as much as I wanted her to see them, I like fire.” I said facing him but watching the fireworks with a slight frown. Shouldn’t they have gone off by now? I moved toward them but Kyle stopped me. “It’s alright Krissy, I got it.” He said letting go of Ebony to go over to them. He lit it again and kicked it lightly with his foot, unfortunately causing it to fall down just as it ignited shooting sparks straight at all of us. I reacted instantly with a startled sound and sitting back on the hood of the car yanking my feet up.

Ebony:

I let out a small yelp when the sparks hit the skin on my arms and face. I flinched and averted my eyes.

Michael:

I pulled Ebony out of the way before going and leaning against the hood of the car, next to Krissy.

Krissy:

When the sparks died out I slid off the car and went over to Kyle who had backed away from them quite a bit. I made sure he was alright before stamping out the fuse before the second set went off. I chewed on my lip then looked back at Kyle with a scowl. His jeans were singed in speckles over his legs but other wise he was fine. “I’m sorry!” He said making a face.

Ebony:

I rubbed my arms ruefully. I had a few tender spots, but was not otherwise hurt. I looked at Kyle and said. "Its ok, I had a lot of fun." I smiled happily at him.

Kyle:

I sighed and went over to Ebony carefully touching the side of her face. “I so sorry, sweetheart.” I said again feeling wretched. “Let’s go.” Krissy said duly climbing into the back.

Ebony:

I put my arms around him and hugged him tightly. I looked into his face and said softly. "Thank you for bringing me here. I loved it, and you did nothing wrong. Mistakes happen."

Kyle:

I sighed again. I opened the car door for her and smiled apologetically.

Ebony:

I kissed his chin then both of his cheeks. "Sweety, its not your fault." I said looking into his eyes. I kissed his nose before climbing into the car.

Michael:

I cleaned up the fireworks a bit before getting in next to Krissy.

Krissy:

I leaned against the door. “Put the top up, I don’t want the wind blowing in my face.” I told Kyle once he got in. I was still a little ticked off.

Ebony:

I yawned sleepily and curled up in my seat. I mumbled to Krissy. "LEave him alone, I loved it. Its ok."

Krissy:

I sighed and settled in while the top rolled up and Kyle backed up in a half circle then started the way down the dirt road.

Michael:

I reached over and placed my hand on top of Krissy's. Gently rubbing the back of her hand with my thumb I looked out the window.

Ebony:

I was starting to drift, my eyes already closed. I was curled up on my seat, facing Kyle.

Krissy:

I smiled at Michael and turned my hand up to hold his.

Michael:

I looked over at Krissy and flashed her a small smile. Today had been a good day, even with the mistake.

Kyle:

The drive back seemed longer than usual, I glanced in the mirror to see Krissy had drifted off to sleep, as was Ebony.
