"Fine. Some girl at school is going to die," I shrugged.

how?"

"Um.... house fire," I said.

i nod

"The only reason i didn't invite her here so she'd live is because someone else would die," I whispered and shrugged.

thats the way it works... it sucks" i sigh

"Reapers, thats their rule. Everyone has a set date of when they're going to die. If someone messes it up, the Reapers have to take someone else. Then the person saved has to live on that time - how long the person taken instead was supposed to live. I remember the first time i learned that...." I shuddered.

i nod slightly frowning

"I hate Reapers. One killed my mother," I sighed.

i know. you told me. Im sorry" i kiss her forehead

"I understand why they're here, i just don't know why thats their rule," I sighed.

i nod slightly

"My life has been made hell because of their stupid rules, though, so i don't care. I wish i would've just died and let my mother live. They could've had another kid," I growled, not thinking about what i said. I was speaking from anger.

I just set my jaw and looked down, my hands bunching the sheets in my hands.

i take her hand softly "calm down.. it will be ok"

"That jackass took everything from me. I still have scars - you've seen them. If he hadn't taken my mother i would still be living in Italy with my parents," I whispered.

i nod slighlty...

I realize what I said and hugged him.
"But at least something good came out of it. I met you," I smiled softly.

i nod and hug her back softly

"I'm sorry for what i said. This Reaper kid was at school. He kept taunting me," I sighed.

i nod slightly "its ok"

"Whats wrong?" I asked softly.

I nodded mutely and closed my eyes.
