Sinclaire:
"Fine, get arrested for all i care," I shrugged and went back to my client.

looks at her with an eyebrow raised. "why so worried, sin?"

Sinclaire:
"I'm worried about anyone you hit with that bat. Not about you. Get over yourself," I rolled my eyes.

bites his lower lip, knowing he's going to regret doing this as he pulls the bat out of his bag and swings it across her face. Realizing what he's done, he runs out the door.

Sinclaire:
Without realizing it, he had actually hit me. I was on the floor, bleeding. Someone called an ambulance. I was too dizzy to follow what was happening.

I kept running and didnt stop, i felt total regret overcome my mind body and soul. What the fuck did i just do!?! I thought to myself, i held back tears as i jumped into the woods in the outskirts of the town.

Sinclaire:
I woke up in the hospital. My cheekbone was broken so my cheek was black and blue. But otherwise i was fine. I could go to work.

There was an odd card next to her. seeming to have fallen out of his bag earlier when he pulled out the bat.

It read:

If i did what i did, i want you to know i'm honestly sorry. i just felt rage and hatred cause you seemed hurt and i just didnt want you to suffer. hopefully with what i did, maybe you'll find a family.

on the back of the card it has all of her information including her birthday.

Sinclaire:
I wanted to kill him. Anger and hatred burned in my veins. He was going to kill me? If he wasn't, why the hell did he swing the bat at me? I looked at the car again -
Name: Bernkastel Sinclaire O'Donnell.
Birthday: October 29, 1994.....
And other information. i crumbled the card up and threw it in the trash.

A doctor walks into the room and picks up the card. he says "You know, what that man did to you was far less damaging as to what you've been doing for the past two years, Ms.O'donell?"

Sinclaire:
"I don't care. He doesn't know me," i whispered.

"He may not have known you but he oddly enough seemed to have cared enough for you to write down everything about you. He's been through hell and back, and was able to pay off the fines that was placed upon Ambrosia. He did it cause he wanted you to have a family that cared."

Sinclaire:
"I have a family, back at the club. I don't want or need anyone else," i muttered.

"Also...may i add, the reason your family never had the chance to find you is because this man knew them and resented them. I'm amazed you don't even bother to remember him."

Sinclaire:
"I don't remember who he is. I don't understand. My parents said that if i left, they wouldn't look for me. And they didn't," I snapped.

"He didn't let them look for you because he killed them himself. because they told him and we have this in actual records that they would kill you and slice up each section of your body into pieces. If it weren't for Edward, you'd be dead by now."

The doctor hands her a file with all sorts of documents revolving around this statement, it being true.

Sinclaire:
"I probably would. But unless he's outside i'm never going to see him again. And if he cared, why did he hit my head with a baseball bat?"

"It was the only way to actually get you to listen to him and come with him. He stated that he was going to tell you this over night the other day, but you left right out the door."

Sinclaire:
"I don't care. Those people deserved to die. Now will i got discharged or what? I have to work." I said to him and crossed my arms.

"You cant work for the next couple of days since your face is bruised. Just relax. Everyone here knows your secret but it doesnt mean we'll take your only job away. But from this day forth...Edward is your legal guardian."

Sinclaire:
"What?! Why!? Why isn't he in jail for murder!?" I yelled.

"he had 10 and a half million dollars and he did it in protection of another person in defense of mutilation. He didnt even need to go to court. Everyone knew about your case. What, you think we're stupid adults who can tell the difference from a teenage girl from a female adult?" He taps his foot.

Sinclaire:
"Yeah, pretty much. I LOOK 21 or 23," I shrugged.

He tapped his foot. "haha, don't you wish. Just get some rest Ms.O'donell. you need the rest." Walks out the door and locks it.

Sinclaire:
I stood up and walked to the bathroom. I looked at myself in the mirror. Yes, without the makeup, dress, and attitude, i looked like a regular 17 year old girl. I looked weak and pathetic. Hopeless. Like i was when i was younger. Sweet, quiet, shy, and hopeless. I couldn't be like that anymore.
I sighed and got dressed in a shirt - obviously low-cut - and jeans. I sat down on the bed. For the first time in years, i started to cry.
