The Creation of the Perfect Assassins

Kyle:

I wrinkled my nose at the sight of his foot. “Shrapnel?” I asked moving closer slowly.

"Uh..I don't know," Lexi admitted as she pulled out of the parking space and drove down the road, heading into town. "Somewhere populated so we won't stick out."

Kai:

I tensed at his nearness as I heard the quick click of the bolt sliding home. "I wouldn't come over here....this place is rather trapped unless you know how to get through it..."

Krissy:
“Yeah.. I hope he’s okay.” I said worriedly. I didn’t like being separated.

Kyle:

I heard the click and turned toward the sound. “I think I’ll take my chances.”

Kai:

I sighed and shook my head. "They wont miss...I can promise you that." I said following his gaze to where Tally was hidden way above us.

"Me too," Lexi agreed as she drove, trying to make herself look older and confident behind the wheel. "He'll be fine. I'm sure."

Krissy:

“Yeah.. Lets go to a park!” I said happily.

Kyle:

“They have no reason to shoot. It’d be poor character to shoot an unarmed man.” I said trying to discern what was human shape and what was shadow.

Kai

"Mmm not really. You entered our home, and your not exzctly unarned now are you." I said inspecting my foot. I looked up at him and shook my head. "I wouldnt try to find them. We put up a few dummies up there as well.

Kyle:

“I only followed you because I want to help.” I said looking back at the kid. “Why don’t you come down here so we can all talk? I won’t hurt you.” I called to the ceiling.

Lexi smiled. Krissy was so innocent compared to herself and Kyle and she hoped she stayed that way as long as they protected her. "Sure, Kris. Let's go to the park."

Turning into the park's parking lot, Lexi parked and hopped out, locking the doors once Krissy was out.

Kai

I was surprised when tally actually came down. It was difficult to tell she was a girl with the dirt and baggy clothing she wore. She walked by the guy and inspected my foot absently before drawing a gun on the man. I had never seen that one before so it mustchave been his and she had stolen it off of him.

Krissy:

I slimed happily and dashed to the swings. I made sure I could hear my phone in case Kyle called then kicked off the ground.

Kyle:

I watched the girl, at least I guessed it was a girl. “Kid, if I had wanted to I could have easily killed your brother before he ever got back here. Clearly you don’t need to point my own gun at me.” I said in slight annoyance.

Kai

I shrugged. "Possibly but tally doesnt miss." I sai and grinned when i saw tally was looking through the mans wallet with one hand. The other still holding the gun unwaveringly.

Kyle:

I scowled at her. “Satisfied?” I asked. My wallet had two IDs one saying I was Ryan Blake and 18, the other Jacob Parker age 20. It also had ticket stubs from a movie I had taken the girls to and forty bucks.

Kai

I watched her take out the id cards and shoot them absently before tossing him back the wallet. "Why are you here?" She asked watxhing the guy carefully.

Kyle:

I caught my wallet and replaced it in my pocket. “I was worried about him,” I gestured to Kai. “And curious.”

"Why would you care?" I asked pulling the hammer back on the gun. "Why care about a couple of orphans?"

Kyle:

“Well really it was only one orphan.” I said flatly. “And I’m an orphan myself.”

Tally

I stared at him before asking a simple question. "Can youchelp him? Fix him up andcget him out of this life?"

Kyle:

“Not if I’m held at gun point. Give me back my gun and I’ll see what I can do.” I said looking her in the eyes, testing her.

Tally

"I dont need this to kill you." I said simply ejecting the clip and firing the round in the chamber away fromcus. I offered the weapon back to him my expression unreadable.

Kyle:

“Nor do I.” I said simply as I took it and went over to the boy. “You need to wash it first, otherwise it’s going to get infected, and antibiotics wouldn’t hurt either.” I said.

Tally

"Take him. You will do more good for him than i would." I said turning around and walking away.

Lexi ran over to the swings as well and hopped on after Krissy, swinging as high as she could.

Kyle:

“Wait a sec, where are you going? You don’t look like your all that well off yourself.” I said.


Krissy:

I didn’t try to swing higher than her, I didn’t like heights, I didn’t get higher than I felt comfortable jumping off from.
