The Creation of the Perfect Assassins

Kyle:

I stopped when I saw the kid. Was this a joke? “Who are you?” I demanded but lowered my gun.

Krissy:

I came up behind Kyle and peered around him at the kid, holding my knife ready. Age didn’t determine how dangerous someone could be, our group proved that.

A head peered out of the doorway and Lexi watched but couldn't see anything with Kyle standing in the way.

Kai:

I turned around and flashed them a cheeky grin. "I'm Kai, and that was sweet!" I said earnestly before brushing off my slightly ratty clothes. I hummed softly and went over to survey the damage I had caused. Hopping neatly over what remaind of what had once been a human.

Kyle:

“Well, kid, what are you doing here?” I asked watching him carefully.

Krissy:

“Ew,” I muttered, eyes locked on the charred remains. I wasn’t squeamish about death, but once people were dead, especially if they were horribly disfigured, I found it a little disgusting, and I didn’t like having anything to do with the bodies.

Kai

I grinned and picked up the remains of my explosive before breaking it inhalf and tossing it aside. Brushing y handsoff on my clothes i waved cheerfully at them before heading off my tummy rumbling as i went. I wondered if Tally had been able to get food.

Krissy:

I frowned. “Hey, you! Wait up!” I yelled. Kyle whirled around. “I told you to stay inside.” He said. “And I didn’t listen.” I said with a shrug. “What are you doing here? Who was that?” I called running after the kid.

Kai

I walked bacwards as i responded to her qustion. "Well...i stole something from them...and they werent so happy about that."

Kyle:

I went after Krissy and grabbed her wrist.  "What did you steal?" I asked him while holding my sister back.  

I stopped walking and began to reply. "Well i stole a metric t....." i trailed off and looked back at the car wreckage before my eyes lit up and a seriously happy expression came over me.

Kyle:

Something about his expression made me yank Krissy back behind me. She stayed.

Kai

I chuckled happily before turning away from them but i paued as i took a step. The adrenalin had run out and i saw that...well more of felt the blood in my shoe.

Lexi couldn't take it anymore. So she snuck out and headed toward the group, creeping.

Kyle:

“Wait, where are you going?” I called after him.

Kai:

"I have to go home. My friend will be worried. Bye!" I said running even though it didn't feel right to do so.

"What friend?" Lexi asked curiously, coming up next to Kyle.

Kyle:

“Damnit girls.” I hissed. “Yeah, how old are you anyway?” I asked the kid.

Kai:

I stopped, again and sighed in exasperation. "I'm 9 now I really have to go. Bye!" I said waving before running down the street. I wanted to get to the abandoned lumber mill before dark.

Kyle:

I handed the keys to Lexi. I rarely let either girl drive, but I knew that Lexi could. “I’ll let you know where to pick me up. Just pack the car and drive somewhere out of sight. And be careful.” I said before I set off after the kid being careful to stay out of his sight and stay silent.

Kai

Once i finally made it tothe lumbermill i crawled though a hole incthe wall and walked happily into our home. On the table i saw a loaf of fresh baked bread and cheese and i tore into it hungrily.

Lexi frowned, watching Kyle go but sighed and turned to Krissy. "Come on. Let's load up and get out of here. Grab James. Let's hope we don't get pulled over for me driving underage."

Krissy:

“You won’t. Just let your hair down, it makes you look older.” I said reassuringly.

Kyle:

I found a window and watched the kid at a distance. I just needed to know that he was being taken care of then I could leave..

Kai:

I heard a sharp whistle from above me in the rafters I froze and stiffened forcing myself to calm down. That whistle was our code for intruder. I turned around slowly looking for where they might be when I saw the face of the man who I had been talking with earlier. "You should go...things wont go well for you if you stay..." I called to him. If I knew Tally she would be slowly sliding the bolt back on the rifle we had found. It didn't have a scope but Tally didn't need one. Not at this distance. She was up in the dark rafters and knowing her she had him pinned down already just waiting for him to make a move.

Lexi nodded, running inside to grab her pack then came back outside, throwing it into the trunk of the car before climbing into the front seat. "Let's go."

Kyle:

I frowned at the threat but tucked my gun in my belt and held my hands out so he could see they were empty. “Chill. I don’t mean you any harm. I just wanted to make sure you were okay.”

Krissy:

I climbed into the passenger’s seat and stretched out. “Where should we go to wait for my brother?”

Kai

I nodded and then sat onthe table. I pulled off my shoe and blinked in surprise at how uch blood was n it. I didnt wear socks because i didnt have any so i could clearly see the piece of scrap metal that was causing the bleeding. If i had to guess ithad cut the nerve endings which is wy it didnt hirt.
