"Right. The tempermental one that shot me," Lexi glared at the back of Kyle's head before turning back to Krissy. "So, no last name?"

Krissy:

"O'Sh-" "Nope. No last name." Kyle cut in before I finished. I fell silent.

Lexi rolled her eyes. "My name is Lexi Marie Waldrep," she replied, shrugging. "It's nice to meet you Krissy O'Sh-" Lexi winked at Krissy, trying to be nice. After all, the girl had saved her life and she seemed like a sweet person.

Krissy:

I grinned. "Marie is my middle name. I was named after My uncle on my moms side, Kris, and my aunt, Marie, my dads only sister." I told her happily. "Kyle isn't named after any one. He's boring that way."

Lexi couldn't help but laugh at that. "Ditto with my brother. His name is Jake. Just Jake. Not Jakob or anything, just Jake Waldrep. He doesn't even have a middle name!"

Krissy:

"Jake.." I repeated. "Hmm." I pursed my lips. "Jake is a good name though. I think I heard of a Jake some where.."

Lexi's face immediately turned serious. "Where?" she demanded. "When? How long ago was it? What did he look like?"

Krissy:

I frowned. "I don't remember. How old would he be?" I asked.

"Now? Somewhere around sixteen, I think..." Lexi mumbled then frowned. "What year is it?"

Krissy:

I smiled softly and told her. "I don't think it was your brother then. He was older than sixteen, whoever I saw, and that was a couple years ago,"

"Damn..." Lexi sighed, gently hitting her forehead against the window and left it there. She was thoroughly disappointed. Another lead just completely dead.

Krissy:

"I'm sorry." I said softly, biting my lip. "I wish I could help."

Lexi sighed, rubbing her forehead. "It's whatever. Just another dead end."

Krissy:

"Well you can stay with us until you find him. We don't even have a goal, so we can adopt yours." I said.

Smiling softly, Lexi nodded. "O..Okay," she agreed. "Um..." She looked back at Kyle. "Where are we going?"

Krissy:

I looked at Kyle too. "I don't know. We'll see." He replied shortly.

"We should probably stop at a hotel somewhere. I know a few good ones not too far from here," Lexi replied. "I would've gone to one but I was on foot, you know?"

Kyle:

I glanced in the mirror at her then at Krissy. God they were young, and Lexi to be on her own, it made me sick to think of Krissy in that situation. "We have to get farther out of town first." I said though not as harsh.

Lexi nodded, yawning. "Okay. If I pass out and don't wake up, don't freak okay? I haven't actually slept since Sunday," she yawned again, resting her head against the window.

Krissy:

"Oh go right ahead." I said. "I'll let you have the whole back seat." I climbed into the front.

"I can't just fall asleep. I have to be really...really..." Lexi fell over, completely zonked out, her arm hanging off the back seat. She was really, really tired.

Krissy:

I smiled at her then settled in my seat. "She isn't so bad." I told Kyle.

Lexi remained unconscious for a while, barely moving, barely breathing in fact. Her fists clenched several times as if she were having a nightmare.

Kyle:

By the time we reached a hotel I was comfortable stopping at both girls had been asleep for hours. I went in and checked out a room before going back to get the girls.

Lexi woke up as soon as Kyle opened the car door again to wake Krissy up. She sat up, rubbing her still-tired eyes as she climbed out of the car.
