The Creation of the Perfect Assassins

Kyle:

I went around to get Krissy up. I shook her shoulder lightly. "Come on, Krissy." I said softly, getting her to get out of the car.

Lexi stumbled forward, almost falling but she managed to catch herself on her hurt leg. She winced, trying not to cry out like a little baby.

Kyle:

I tried to catch her before she hurt herself but retracted my hand when she caught herself. It was instinct. "Are you okay?" I asked quietly.

"I'm fine," Lexi replied through gritted teeth. "What room are we in?"

Kyle:

"125." I replied guiding my sleepy sister inside.

Lexi nodded, stumbling inside and limping upstairs to room 125. She sat on the floor in front of it, waiting on Kyle and Krissy.

Kyle:

I gave Lexi an odd look before unlocking the door. Krissy went straight to the first bed and fell into it. "You two can share a bed." I told Lexi.

"Okay..." Lexi nodded, crawling over to the bed and forcing herself to flop onto it. She laid there, staring at the ceiling. She couldn't go back to sleep again.

Kyle:

"I'm taking a shower. Scream if any thing happens." I said taking my back pack into the bathroom with me.

"That's comforting," Lexi mumbled, rolling her eyes. She went out on the balcony and just sat there in the cool breeze, liking the way it felt against her skin.

Krissy:

I rolled onto my back and blinked feeling myself alone. I sat up on my elbows, I could see Lexi through the glass balcony doors, and guessed Kyle was in the shower.

Lexi stood up, clutching the railing as she looked over at the drop. It wasn't that high...Three stories. She carefully stepped over the railing and onto the small piece of concrete that jutted out past it. Her hands became sweaty. Lexi seriously contimplated going over. All the pain she had felt and was feeling would be gone if she jumped. But if she stayed, she had a small chance of becoming part of a small family, something that she hadn't has since she was little.

Her hands got even more sweaty, making her grip weaker. If she didn't reach a decision soon, fate would decide for her.

Krissy:

I watched Lexi, confused for a moment. What was she doing climbing over the edge? I sat up and gat to my feet.

"Such a tough choice..." Lexi mumbled, her hair blowing about in the breeze. She couldn't decide. The family thing seemed so inviting but...she would always be running from her past. She'd never get to just live her life like someone normal.

Krissy:

I moved to the doors but didn't go outside. I didn't want to startle her and have her slip.

Lexi let her left hand drop, only holding on with her right hand. It felt so freeing like nothing mattered while she was standing there. She was so tempted...leaning forward slightly as she felt the air practically cradle her in its embrace.

Krissy:

I tried to push the door open but fumbled with the latch. "Lexi!" I said and managed to get it open. I ran out and grabbed her wrist. "What are you doing?!"

"I don't know yet. I haven't decided," Lexi replied quietly, looking at Krissy. "What do you think I should do?"

Krissy:

I didn't make any sense of what she was saying. It was cold, and humid making my clothes stick unpleasantly to my body. And the ground was slippery. "Come back over." I said not letting go of her wrist.

"But what would happen if I do? I would just keep running...Forever..." Lexi voice broke on the last word. "I can't keep running..."

Krissy:

"No, no, no." I said frowning. "Not running, fighting." I said trying to pull her back a little.

"How is that any better?" Lexi demanded, closing her eyes as tears rolled down her cheeks. "I can't fight them."

Krissy:

"Stop it." I said worried now. "Come back over. You have to. You can't give up!"

"But...I want to...I want it to end..." Lexi looked back down at the drop leaning forward a little bit more.

Krissy:

I jerked her back. "This isn't the answer. It isn't. What about your brother? He'll never know what happened. Please just stop." I begged.
