The Creation of the Perfect Assassins

She shrugged, thinking about it. Her stomach growled, smelling the pizza. "I don't know...Back south before winter, I guess."

((It seems like it is perpetually winter or nearly winter in all of our role plays..))

Krissy:

I pulled the pizza out of the oven and set it on the stove for her. “Would you like something to drink? Milk? Water? Juice?” I asked.

((LOL.))

"Water please..." Melody whispered.

Krissy:

I filled a glass of water and slid it toward her with a smile.

Melody gulped down the whole glass of water in a few seconds and she licked her lips, still thirsty but not nearly as much as before.

Krissy:

“Feel better?” I asked taking a slice of pizza for myself.

Kai:

I yawned and left before coming back with my teddybear. I blinked and offered it out to the girl. "You look like you need something to snuggle. Teddy, he always makes me feel better."

Melody smiled and took the teddy bear, gently hugging it. "Thank you...He's definintely helping me feel better."

Kai:

I smiled tiredly and hugged her as well, letting out a yawn. "Can we keep her?" I asked Krissy sleepily. She's nice to Teddy."

Melody smiled, hugging Kai back. "Well, aren't you sweet?"

Kai:

I smiled up at her and yawned.

Krissy:

“Uhh.” I said hesitantly. Kyle would kill me if I said yes. He’d be mad either way. I sighed. “Melody, why don’t you sleep on the couch tonight? We can talk to my brother in the morning.”

Melody smiled softly but still seemed tense. "Your...brother isn't going to kill me, right?" she asked.

Krissy:

I smiled tightly. “Hopefully not!” I said then patted her shoulder.

"That's...encouraging," Melody gave her a brave smile and went over to the couch to sleep.

Krissy:

I brought her a pillow and a blanket. “Sleep well.” I whispered.

"Thank you," Melody whispered back. She got situated and she was out as soon as her head hit the pillow.

Krissy:

I curled up on the recliner with another blanket instead of going back to bed. I slept better to the sound of her breathing and in the morning I would hear if Kyle got up.

Lexi got up the next morning and went down to the kitchen to rummage for some breakfast. She stopped, seeing Melody sleeping on the couch. "Uh...what is she doing here?" she asked, confused.

Krissy:

“She came in last night, her name’s Melody. Isn’t that pretty?” I asked with a yawn.

"Yeah. Um. What's she doing here?" Lexi asked, frowning.

Krissy:

I shrugged. “Do you think Kyle will be mad?” I asked.

"I thought he was always mad," Lexi smirked.

Krissy:

"Do you think he'll kill her?" I whispered.  

"He might try. You should probably stay with her until Kyle wakes up and sees her though. Just in case," Lexi replied.
