The Creation of the Perfect Assassins

Kyle:

I slumped in the seat next to Lexi and yawned. “Bedtime sounds nice..”

Kai:

I yawned hugely and with my small size I managed to curl up on the chair and fall asleep.

Lexi giggled at Kai as he fell asleep and she laid her head on Kyle's shoulder, dozing off herself.

Kyle:

I sighed after they had both fallen asleep. I waited until the shower stopped for a few minutes. Krissy must have gone to bed then. I scooped Lexi in my arms and carried her to bed tucking her in despite her lightly damp clothes then went back to get Kai.

Lexi woke up, just as she saw Kyle leaving. She smiled and pulled the covers around her, going back to sleep.

Kai:

I mumbled sleepily, talking in my sleep.

Kyle:

I picked Kai up and carried him to a bed noting that we’d have to get him some new clothes in the morning. I laid him down and pulled the covers over him.

Kai:

I mumbled out Kyle's name also calling him dad, then Lexi mom.

Kyle:

I could barely understand what he said just that he had called me dad. I sighed and patted his back gently before leaving the room. I checked in on Krissy before going to my own bed.

A figure slinked into Lexi's room through the window. Dirty blonde hair and intelligent brown eyes studied her surroundings, noticing that Lexi was on the bed but didn't move to hurt her. Instead, the girl snuck out into the hall and down the stairs, snagging the last slices of pizza and eating hungrily. She hadn't eaten in days and her ribs poked out a bit confirming that.

Krissy:

I was still lying awake when I heard Lexi get up.  I waited for a few minutes for her to go back to be but I never heard it.  I crawled out of bed and padded into the hall silently.  I moved downstairs.  I watched the girl in the kitchen for a minute then pulled my knife out and threw anther one pinning her shirt tail to the table.  "If I scream, you won't get away.  Now, do you want to tell me what you are doing here?" I asked staying in the dark.  

Kai:

I slept soundly, still muttering in my sleep.

The girl tried to pry the knife out of her shirt but couldn't seem to get it out of the table. "I was hungry.." she whispered, trying to stay quiet so the others wouldn't hear. "And I saw you order pizza so I...wanted it."

Krissy:

I moved over to her slowly, my other knife in hand. “What’s your name?” I asked calmly, trying to asses if she was much of a danger.

"Melody..." she managed to pull her rip her shirt free, leaving a good sized hole. She back away from Melody, feeling around for a weapon to defend herself with.

Krissy:

I yanked the knife out of the table and stuck it in my belt. “I’m Krissy.” I said glancing back at the girl.

"You're...you're not going to attack me?" Melody asked nervously. Her back was to the wall and if Krissy was going to attack, she wouldn't be able to defend herself very well.

Krissy:

“Not unless you try to hurt me first. Do you want your pizza warmed up? I bet it’s better that way.” I said and smiled lightly.

"C-Can I do that?" Melody asked, her mouth already watering at the idea.

Krissy:

“Sure. I’ll do it for you.” I said as I shuffled over to the oven and preheated it.

"I-I'm sorry for sneaking in," Melody apologized.

Krissy:

I shrugged. “You’re just lucky you met me and not my brother.” I said as I popped the rest of the pizza in the oven.

Kai:

I woke up and wrapping up in a blanket I went downstairs and into the kitchen. I waved tiredly to Krissy and the new girl before grabbing a glass of water and drinking it.

Melody half waved at the little boy. "Hello..." She looked at Krissy. "I'll be on my way after I eat. I haven't eaten anything in a long, long time."

Krissy:

“My eyes followed Kai as he walked in. “Where will you go?” I asked looking back to Melody.
