Beyond the Castle, part one. (Two person.)

I flashed her a grin and sat cross legged next to her before winking ad continueing the song.

Araline:

I finished the song then grinned at him. “I didn’t know if I would see you again.” I said watching him with bright eyes.

I smiled and replied softly "well...i have been coming here everydaycsince i first saw you..." i looked at her shyly.

Araline:

“Really?” I asked pleased by this information. “This is the first time I’ve been back.”

I smiled and looked at the pond. "I see, well im glad i caught you finally."

Araline:

“Me too.” I said. “I think we could be friends. You don’t seem annoying like most of the kids my age.” I tilted my head as I spoke.

I blinked and tilted my head confused.

Araline: 

"What?  You don't want to be friends with me?"  I asked.  I was a little hurt by this, he was the first person I actually liked being with and he didn't want to be my friend?  

"I do, i just didnt get why most kids wouldnt want to be your friend." I said tilting my head.

Araline:

“Oh,” I said looking out over the water. I pulled my knees up and covered my damp legs with my green and gold dress. “Well they didn’t really have a choice did they? I don’t what to be friends with them.”

I smiled shyly. "Well, i would love to be your friend."

Araline:

I smiled at him. “Good.” I said with a nod.

I wasnt sure why i felt so funny at her smile.

Araline:

I jumped up to my feet. “I’m tired of this area, let’s go somewhere else.” I said as I brushed my dress off.

I got to my feet slower than her. "And where would you like to go then?"

Araline:

“There is a really big tree a little ways away from here. I like climbing it.” I said with a smile.

I blinked. "In a dress?" I asked confused.

Araline:

I lifted up my skirt to show bloomers underneath. I straightened my dress and said, “These Are my outside clothes. I can play in them.”

I froze a bit and just stood there before shaking my head. "You are the oddest girl i have ever met." I remarked.

Araline:

I threw my head back and laughed then looked over my shoulder at him as I started off toward the tree. “Do you meet many girls then?” I asked fluttering my eyelashes playfully.

Ario

"None as pretty as you." I said moving to walk next to her.

Araline:

I laughed again. “Of course not. I doubt there even are.”

I smiled, wondering if she was one of those snobbish nobles. I had seen a lot of those at the castle, and she wore the finery of one...

Araline:

“How old are you?” I asked looking sideways at him.

I told her my age absently looking around at the garden, and occationally at her. She really was beautiful.
