Beyond the Castle, part one. (Two person.)

I shook my head. "No, I live in the East Quarters." I replied shifting a bit in my seat.

Araline:

“Oh.” I said simply. There was nothing wrong with that, I told myself. At least he wasn’t as obnoxious as the boys who lived in the palace. My mother wouldn’t approve of the friendship though, I thought glumly.

I smiled weakly. "Sorry...if it makes you feel any better I live right against the palace walls."

Araline:

“Good, that means it will be easier to meet.” I said with a decisive nod.

I blinked and nodded slowly.

Araline:

I looked and tilted my head. “What’s wrong?” I asked.

"Im just wondering where you live." I stated.

Araline:

I stood up on the branch and squinted at the palace. I counted the windows then pointed. “There, that’s my room. The seventh to the right.” I told him smiling.

I followed her finger then my eyes widened. "Your the princess?!?"

Araline:

I looked at him, appalled. “No! I am not a princess. I’m just a lady.” I said as I swished my skirt. I had always been confused by my heritage. “My mother is something like a kings great, great, great granddaughter. And my father was the nephew of someone important.”

I shook my head. "Your heritige makes you as close to a princess as anyone."

Araline:

I snorted. “Except the actual princes and anyone closer to that than me.” I said with a nod and sat back down crossing my legs.

I shook my head. "One is a fake, the other is four. And the last sure." I said ruefully.

Araline:

“I am not a princess.” I said defiantly.

Ario

"Doesnt mean i cant treat you like one." I responded.

Araline:

“I don’t need to be treated specially.” I told him.

I shrugged. "Just how i was raised." I responded siling.

Araline:

I smiled back at him. Him treating me differently because of who he was not who I was, that seemed okay to me.

I flashed her a grin. "Its getting late princess."

Araline:

I rolled my eyes at that and started climbing back down the tree. “Will you be in trouble for staying out past light?” I asked once I reached the ground. IT wasn’t quite dark yet.

I shook my head. "My parents...they trust me."

Araline:

“Well then there’s no reason we have to go home now. Come on.” I said heading off in a different direction.

I nodded slowly and followed her. "Alright."

Araline:

I lead him farther away from the palace until we reached a grassy hill that looked out over most of the village. I sat down and laid back watching the light fade from the sky.

I sat down next to her, before looking at the surroundings and then laying down myself.
