Mallory:
"The ring is yours, isn't it? I took it from the house," I said.

I lay my head on Will's shoulder, my eyes half-closed.

i lay her down on the bed "get some rest"

Mallory:
"Stay with me, okay?" I asked.

Mallory:
I fell asleep.

i stay with her wincing, still trying to close the wound from the fight

Mallory:
I woke up a little later, but soon realized that my powers were shot.

Mallory:
"I don't think I'm getting my powers back anytime soon," I whispered, feeling miserable and useless.

"What good am I if I can't protect my own son?" I whispered.
