"That's all there is to it. I've been playing with fire since my old babysitter tried to kill me by putting me in an oven, the old fashioned kind with the fire under it instead of using electricity to heat it up. And Adella fell into the pool and never came up cause she didn't need to. She could breathe underwater," David shrugged. "It just comes naturally to us."

Sphinx:

"Do you even know the basics?" I asked Tabitha as I peeked over her shoulder at what she was doing. I had motioned to Lexi and David to stay quiet as I had walked up. And with Tabitha's focus on the liter it had been easy.

Tabitha:

I gave a little startled gasp then turned to see Sphinx and blushed. “Yes, of course I do. My mama taught us all when we were little. But I was always different.” I said with a sigh.

David gave her a patient smile. "We'll work on it." he promised.

I smiled looking at him. "Wouldn't have it any other way." I said with a grin

Sphinx:

I looked at the fire for a moment thinking before looking at Tabitha. "I could give you the basics if you wanted." I told her giving her a slight smile.

Tabitha:

“Yeah well unless you can magically make my powers work I doubt it’ll help.” I said glumly. My head was starting to hurt.

Velaric:

“Excellent. Let’s go.” I put my hand on her back moving her in front of me to walk down the row of seats.

I blushed a bit then moved a bit and took his hand in mine as we walked out of the classroom.

Velaric:

I smirked and squeezed her hand gently. We found our way to the cafeteria easily. They didn’t have blood on the menu, I already knew that. There were some schools that offered that but I wasn’t interested in the kind that would attract.

Sphinx:

I flashed her a grin. "Well, in a manner of speaking...I kind of will be doing that. I can't teach you like these two can. But I can give you the knowledge of the basics so you will atleast have better control over your powers."

I smiled as I quickly ordered two slices of pizza, a burger, some fries and a drink. I looked at Velaric and raised a brow. "What are you gonna get?" I asked

Tabitha:

“Better control would be good, because I have zero of that now.” I muttered glumly.

Velaric:

“I’m not allowed to eat anything here.” I said casually as my eyes slid over her neck.

I lifted Tabitha's chin so she would be looking me in the eyes. "Just relax" I said softly as I stared into her eyes. I lightly connected our minds not wanting to overwhelm her like I had to the last person I had done this too. They had been left a drooling mess. I began carefully sharing my knowledge of controling the elements. While I myself couldn't do it, I had known people who could. Once I was done I pulled back from the link.

"Oh...okay. is there someplace else you can go?" I asked going to find a table to eat at

Tabitha:

I blinked in surprise. “What did you just do?” I asked finding the information in my head puzzling.

Velaric:


I shook my head. "My friend already brought me lunch." I told her.

((Me? Forget? Never ;P))

Sphinx:

"Shared my knowledge. Its something sphinxes can do. Take or give knowledge between others. Usually we take from others and put it in someone elses head with out ever letting our minds touch the connection. You got a brief taste as to how strong it can be." I said rubbing my forehead.

I looked at him and shrugged before diving into my food, in a very un-lady like way. I smiled in satisfaction after about 8 mins when my plate was clean.

Tabitha:

“Huh.” I said then focused on the pool using my knew knowledge. I sighed at the glassy surface. “I don’t think it’s a lack of knowledge that is my problem. Maybe I simply don’t have the ability.. I’m just weak.”


Velaric:

I smirked at her. “You feed like a fledgling.” I commented.

Sphinx:

Or maybe you just dont believe enough. I thought to my self before creating a drop of water and floating it in front of her. "Manipulate it."

Tabitha:

I scowled and flicked the water with my fingers causing it to fracture. “There.” I said darkly.

I looked at him and shrugged before diving into my food, in a very un-lady like way. I smiled in satisfaction after about 8 mins when my plate was clean.
