Perfect Assassins

Ally:

I shied a bit back, hiding myself more, but keeping one eye in the kitchen to watch. I was biting my lip hard, nervous that something bad was going to happen.

Krissy:

I blinked, taken aback by her mood. This was a horrible idea.. I could have proved my point to Eric without telling the others... I looked Lexi in the eyes then bit my lip. It was too late to back out now. "I'm engaged." I told her pulling my hand out from behind my back so I could show her the ring.

"To who?" Lexi asked, confused. It was way to early in the morning for stuff like this. "Michael?"

Krissy:

I gave her a condescending look. "No, Lexi, I got engaged to someone other than the love of my life." I said with sarcasm dripping from my words. "Why would you even ask that?" I crossed my arms and watched her with narrowed eyes.

Kyle:

I watched the two girls. I figured the best option for me was to stay quiet and let them hash it out. It was so rare that the two of them where mad at each other and not me.

I ignored the inevitable death match

"Because he's most likely dead and if he isn't, he's more than likely going to come and try to kill us without knowing that we're on the same side. That's why, Kris," Lexi made a face at her friend, obviously very pissed that morning. "And I am NOT going through this again with you. It's over. Move on."

Krissy:

My eyelashes fluttered in surprise. “I-“ I started but I actually had nothing to say to her. She had dispelled my anger and now I was just.. hurt.. I pushed past her having not desire to be around her anymore. I somehow made my way to the library all the while trying to keep my eyes from watering. My two best friends were completely against me. I didn’t know how to handle that. I flopped down on the couch and held Michael’s dog tags tightly in both hands.

Kyle:

“Damn Lexi, that was harsh.” I said before going after my sister. I could tell something was up with Lexi, but it could wait. There was no telling what Krissy would do when she was upset. “Krissy?” I called making my way down the hall. “Kyle?” I heard from behind a door. Her voice was broken. I opened it to find her in the library. She instantly got up and rushed to hug me. Her body shook in her effort not to cry as she clung to me.

Eric:

I smirked in satisfaction. It wasn’t that I liked seeing Krissy upset, but it was nice to see someone else say the same thing I had told her. “Wow, we actually agree on something.” I said after Kyle left, my eyes on Lexi.

James
I sighed pinching the bridge of my nose, not having anything to say right now. I was sick of hearing people fight and crying all the time.

"It's not healthy for her," Lexi sighed, meeting eyes with Eric. "If I can't get rid of my hauntings, you can be damn sure that I'll try to get rid of hers."

Eric:

“It’s not healthy.” I agreed. “I’m glad she can hear that from someone else. You don’t seem in the best of moods this morning though. What’s up?” I asked. I had told Krissy I would try to be nice to Lexi, and her siding with me this morning made it a bit easier.

Kyle:

“She doesn’t get it Kyle. She just doesn’t get it.” She mumbled into my shirt. I sighed. “She doesn’t realize that even if I never see him again, I’m not going to stop loving him. I’m not going to forget, I can’t just move on.” She grabbed fist fulls of my shirt. “You have to calm down Krissy. Here sit.” I pulled her to the sofa with me and sat her down next to me. “How long have you been engaged?” I asked after she had quieted. “…About a month.” She whispered. I blinked in surprise. “I didn’t expect that. You were always so against that kind of thing.” I said softly. She had sworn up and down that she’d never get married, even that she wouldn’t ever fall in love. “She just shook her head and pressed her face into my side. “I love him. He changed my mind…. Doesn’t matter anyway now- I- I’m not going to be- I’m not going to get married.” Her voice broke.

Jack:

"Aw, Michael will be very sad to hear that." I remarked from where I sat on the window sill, a Cheshire grin on my face. I had been sitting here watching the entire spectical, entertained by this. I hopped off the window sill with an absent gate, my hands going into my pockets as I did so. It had been a while since I had seen all of them, I had missed them. They made my life so much fun.

"Jack," Lexi turned, managing a small smile. If anyone could get through their defenses, undetected, it was him. "I was wondering when you'd show your ugly mug again. What with everything that'd gone down." She purposelly avoided answering Eric's question. He didn't need to know about her problems.

James
I look over, "Who would this be?" i asked Lexi

Eric:

I blinked and looked at the guy who walked in. I continued to stay in my window seat only because Lexi seemed to know him. Otherwise I could have shot him easily.

Jack:

I grinned and ruffled her hair. "If I come back and your still in a bad mood. Your going to be in trouble missy." I remarked. With that I looked up at Eric and shook my head. "I know that look, you try killing me and this entire place blows up."

"This is Jack," Lexi introduced the three guys and she sighed, sitting on the floor. "He's an old friend."

Eric:

I chuckled. “I wasn’t going to. It would take too much effort.” I said as my eyes traveled down to where Lexi sat.

I looked down at where Lexi was sitting before kneeling down and flicking her nose just like one a dog. With that I grinned at Eric before leaving the kitchen. In the living room I took a deep breath and yelled at the top of my voice. "Krissy get you butt over here! This moping and sadness will not do in the house!"

Lexi sighed. "He's such a bundle of joy..." she mumbled, putting her head in her hands.

((D= No amusement from Jack being Jack?))

Krissy:

I sat up straight when I heard someone call to me. Kyle had managed to calm me down but I was still mad at Lexi, and unhappy. “Who was that?” I asked. Not placing the voice at first. I got up and wiped the left over tears from my cheeks before going to investigate. Kyle followed close behind me. I stopped when I got to the living room, my jaw dropping. “Jack!” I ran/bounced over to him and threw my arms around him.

Eric:

“What’s the matter with you?” I asked Lexi again moving out of my window seat to walk over to her.

I grinned looking down at Krissy. "There is the grin that should be here." I said laughing. I hugged her back spinning her in a circle before pulling out of her grasp. "Your looking absolutely glowing today."

Krissy:

I blushed and looked at the floor smiling. “I changed my style a little..” I said softly.

Kyle:

I leaned against the wall and smiled at them. I didn’t care that is was one more person in the house, I was happy to see Jack. He managed to make Krissy smile when I couldn’t have.

Jack:

"I'm sure it has to be the style." I replied flashing her a wink as I pressed at her stomach gently, a knowing look in my eyes. I turned to kyle and held my arms out to him. "Your turn."

Krissy:

I drew in a sharp breath and stepped back. How could he know? I had only told Lexi… And Eric… And Marie knew from the blood test but…. I chewed on my lip, of course Jack would find a way of knowing.. I didn’t like it.

Kyle:

I chuckled and shook my head. “I’m good. But it is a pleasant surprise to see you, Jack.”
