All Hope Is Gone (open)

(( it's not that. I just came back from kick-boxing. ))


Ellie:
"Too many, Taylor," I sighed.

I used to do kick boxing. I quit. I was younger. If my knee could handle it I'd love to do it again)
I realized.... So what now?" I ask looking at her

(( my doctor said I should start doing exercise, so I chose that. at least now I can beat the shit out of anyone I hate ))


Ellie:
"We need to warn Will," I said to her. "He's with the kids."

That's not really what it's meant for, hon. Lol. Self defence. I don't get into fist fights, not since 7th grade. In which I lost. But I don't fight so I don't have much need. I need to lost more weight, I've lost 15 lbs or so. But my cholesterol is outrageous. I'm getting a gym membership near my dorm. So hopefully I won't die by age 25.)

Well lets go then" I say getting down from calling arms. I struggle a bit but manage to stand. I sigh and time warp us to will, it was like teleporting but not going through the vacuum of nothingness.

(( I know it's not, but hey, if I see anyone who's wronged me they better watch out. cause I've got a score to settle and I need to get in shape anyway. I have PE again this year. ))


Ellie:
I swayed a little on my feet, not used to it.

My school let marching band count as a PE credit. Since its harder and lasts longer. So I never really had to do a PE class in high school)
I called for will who was a bit ahead offs. He turned and walked towards us with the kids, James immediately running towards me and hugged me tight

(( I had to last year, but I failed the first half - the written part. it was all about sports teams and team members or whatever. I don't like watching sports so i knew jackshit. I have to do it online now for half the year. the other half is going to be driver's ed. ))


Ellie:
Laurie hugged me, as did Thomas. I smoothed Thomas' hair and kissed the top of Laurie's head.
"Look, we need to go. The demons are burning down towns to get us out of hiding," I said to Will.

That's kind of dumb for a PE test... And drivers Ed is pretty simple. The hardest part is just driving for the first time.)

Will
Where are we going to go?" I ask her frowning. "We don't really have any other places to stay, Ellie"

(( no, it's the first half of the course that was like that. and I know driver's ed is easy, but my parents want me to take the corse. ))


Ellie:
"I know," I sighed.

We'll if you take drivers Ed you can get your liscense sooner, insurance is cheaper, and you have the awesome factor of being able to drive. driving is fun. Except when your car is shit, like mine -_-)

And obviously we can't go very far without running into a damn army. So we don't have many options" I say

(( I have a red jeep. Well, my dad said he'd give it to me when I can drive. ))


Ellie:
"What do you suggest?" I asked.

My car is 20 years old. '93 Geo Prizm. It's decent on gas, which is good. But it burns oil, has a major leak in the power steering fluid, and I think I need new tires. Unimportant things I can conplain about: one of the speakers is blown, and the paint is crap. Jeeps are good cars, my grandmas had one for a long time.)

I don't have anything to suggest. I'm at a loss. I have no idea where to go. And attacking is suicide" I say thinking to myself.

Ellie:
"It's time to attack hell. We have no choice," I sighed.

(did you watch the VA trailer?)
"Yes but then we have to worry about my Dad and Lillith. Those two alone are as powerful as the two armies were avoiding.

(( yeah. it looks a little too teen-ish, but overall fine. like, I pictured it a little more serious - aside from Rose's attitude. I hope they don't downplay Lissa and Rose's relationship to make room for the very little romance in the book between Rose and Dimitri. all I'm hoping for is that it won't be like Hunger Games and make the whole movie about love. ))


Ellie:
"We have no other choice," I said.

(I honestly didn't like the trailer too much, I agree it looks a bit teenish. Again, like City OF Bones, it didn't look like I pictured it in the book. dimitri looked weird to me, although Lissa, Christian, and Rose held up ok. I hope they don't mess this movie, or City Of Bones, up. Percy Jackson is dead to me -_- That movie was ass)

I know." I say sighing. "but I need my sword, and we need weapons in general."

(( I never read the book Percy Jackson. I love Greek Mythology, but the book sounded like it was written for a 13 year old. I have college level reading/writing, so the simplicity of the book annoyed me. City of Bones is pretty close to how I imagined it. I like Jamie as Jace because there's really no one alive that looks like him. I just wish Clary's hair was a lighter red and she had freckles. I kind of wish Dimitri looked a little more muscular. Rose looked sexy as hell and pretty close to how I imagined her. Lissa doesn't look exactly how I imagined, but I don't see a problem with her. Christian is the only one I wish they would've casted differently. there's this guy called Michael Fjordbak who looks like how I imagined him, but whatever, I didn't cast him. and I'm re-reading City of Bones and the guy is pretty close to the description. ))


Ellie:

Percy Jackson was a fun read, it wasn't really meant to be taken seriously. But it had enjoyable story, characters were likable, had some genuine twists I didn't see coming, and use of some greek mythos I never heard of. I think youd enjoy it if you gave it a read, its in the same level as Mortal Instruments, VA, and Maximum Ride. Its not as dark, but I enjoyed them Other than the fact that I didn't like who they casted Jace, Simon, and Magnus- none of them looked how I imagined- It looks solid. I hope both of these are good movies. another thing I didn't like is how they changed the name. Vampire Academy: Blood Sisters and not City of Bones, just The Mortal Instruments. I just found it redundant. Are you going to see City Of Bones next Friday? I think that's when it comes out.)

(( i like Jamie, he's a good actor. he was in Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street. from the description in the book, he comes close to Jace. It would've sucked if Alex Petifer played him. Plus, there's no way Percy Jackson is in the same level of reading as VA, Maximum Ride, and City of Bones because those three are on different levels of reading. I've read a few chapters of Percy Jackson. From low to high, it would be anything Christopher Pike writes, Percy Jackson, Maximum Ride,(a few books in between), City of Bones,(a few books in between), and VA. They all have different levels of reading. I think they could've chosen better for Simon, but not my choice. I don't have a problem with the names because they're going to do the whole series for both, so they have to clean up that mess when it comes around. after the movie Twilight was worse than the book(they really tried to make it worse, cause damn) I can't be too finicky with the little details about books turned into movies. ))

(the little details are just nitpicks for me. and by same level of reading for me, I meant enjoyment factor. I can read anything as long as it grasps my attention. Ive read anything from books intended for kids all the way to high level books for adults. Percy Jackson was just enjoyable, for me. I know everyone has their own tastes. But the movie for Percy Jackson was awful, and according to everyone ive asked, the 2nd movie for it is no different. and that's good their doing the whole series. what it comes to now is if the first movies make a good impression. If the first one sucks, I don't know how eager id be to go watch the next. When it comes to twilight I will watch the movies because they are hilariously awful pieces of work that should be studied, the books were just books. they didn't deserve the phenomenon they received.)

(( I think they're trying to make Percy Jackson for a more grown up crowd, not just for little kids. There's this quote from Stephen King that says something like "I like kids that read Harry Potter because they grow into adults that read Stephen King." which is the problem. the reader never grows into a better reader because they read books like Harry Potter and anything by Stephen King. which is why I can't stand books that are below my reading level. I feel like I'm lowering my IQ just to read it, which is the opposite of what it should be doing. in the workshop in Maine, we talked about it. I try not to read books below my reading level because it's like eating junk food. ))

(that's not really what their doing with percy Jackson, the books were meant to be entertainment. I didn't like the movie because I high enjoyed the characters and moments the the author created, the movies changed a lot about the books. Took out main characters that are important to the story and it was just dumb. I disagree that reading below your reading level is bad, as long as you read high level things in conjunction. like I can sit down and read Shakespeare, I highly enjoyed Hamlet, I didn't understand it at times but I was able to figure it out through rereading and some outside help, but that doesn't mean I cant go back and reread Harry Potter, which has a good story, even if its paced out to long, good characters and a lot of things to enjoy. Same thing with VA, Hunger Games, Percy Jackson, and any other book. As long as it has good characters and story anyone can read it and benefit from it, even if its just getting a laugh )

(hmmm rewatching the VA trailer, it looks better than I first thought, I just think the shrieking of shitty music in the beginning threw me off at first. the trailer itself is just edited and rushed very fast. Rose looks good, I do see what you mean by Lissa's actress, I always pictured Lissa a lot thinner, but she looks fine otherwise. Christian does look off, I guess I always pictures him as the one guy from Vampire Diaries. I think his name was Damon.)

(( I read VD and VA but never confused Damon for Christian. They're different characters, so I never really formed a connection. And, yeah, reading below your reading level isnt really good. It slows down your intake from the book. I personally try not to read things like anything from John Green, Christopher Pike, or Stephen King because even though they're different genres, they're equally shoddy writers. ))

"They have it, Will," I growled.

I meant I always pictured him looking like Damon. Or one of my incarnations of Will. Idk I may have just skimmed through his character portrayal to quickly. *Shrugs* I don't really see an issue with it, but whatever floats your boat. Idk who John Green, or Christopher Pike is. My mom loves Stephen King books. My issue with King is just that, he may have good ideas, but his writing isn't good. He has the same characters in a lot of his books, the poet, the drunk, the one dimensional bully. and its usually in Maine. the series based on IT is the perfect example of it)
