Perfect Assassins

"I have destroyed all the others. This is the last one left...I was getting rid of them because I wanted to be yours only. I wanted to get rid of my past, as I no longer planned on being an assassin. I was going to be your husband only." I said softly, looking at the last mask.

Krissy:

I had felt emotional these past few days after I woke up, and little things could make me tearful. I wiped them on my sleeve and looked at the mask. “Did you know, the second time I saw you, when I was in the hospital, I recognized you, the way you moved, the way you spoke, before I recognized the mask?” I swallowed the little lump in my throat.

"Oh?" I asked, as I moved us onto the floor and pulled her onto my lap. I set the mask in her lap, a little reluctant to destroy this one.

Krissy:

I ran y hand over the front of the fabric. “Yes. And I still thought you were the most beautiful thing I had ever seen.” I smiled at him.

I laughed softly, "Beautiful even when I was trying to kill you?" I asked as I wound my arms around her.

Krissy:

I put my arms loosely around his neck. “Well you didn’t do a very good job, now did you?” I laughed softly and kissed the corner of his lips. “If you had killed me then, my last sight would have been the most beautiful thing I could imagine.”

"Oh? You liked that sight of me more than the naked me hm?" I teased before kissing her fully.

Krissy:

I giggled and kissed him back deeply for a moment before pulling back to say, “Well at the time you were the most beautiful thing I had seen. I couldn’t imagine you naked, or I would have been much more eager to jump into bed with you sooner.” I murmured the last but in his ear.

I grinned at that and my face was a little shy as well. "Oh really now...wasn't it I who convinced you to have sex with me in the first place hm?"

Krissy:

I laughed softly. “I never needed any convincing. I’m pretty sure it was a mutual agreement.” I said softly with a grin.

I chuckled and nodded, "Agreed. Though it has surprised me every time we do anything more. I am always waiting for you to run screaming or glare at me."

Krissy:

“I would never.” I said softly before kissing him deeply. “I have always wanted you every bit as much as you want me.” I murmured against his lips.

I snorted softly and pulled back and raised an eyebrow. "You do remember that I wanted you dead at first right?"

Krissy:

I gave a soft laugh. “Then why didn’t you kill me? It would have been so easy, and you had multiple opportunities.” I grinned at him. “Are you sure you really wanted me dead?”

Michael:

"With out a doubt in my mind. I wanted all of you dead. However your group had a reputation for revenge should anything happen to another. I'm good." I paused then shrugged and continued with out any trace of modesty. "I am the best. But taking out one at a time would more likely lead to my downfall than yours. Revenge drives some to fight beyond their normal skills. My instructions had been to find out what you all knew. Make sure I knew all the members of your group. Then eliminate you all as quickly as possible."

Krissy:

“Well, perhaps I wanted you a bit more than you wanted me at first.” I said with a soft smile.

"And you were persistent enough to win me over. Now and forever." I told her softly, kissing her cheek.

Krissy:

I grinned and put my hand under his chin to redirect his lips to mine.

I kissed her softly, my arms wrapped loosely around her.

Krissy:

After a couple moments I pulled back and smiled at him. I looked down and picked up the mask. At first I thought to put it on him, to see it one last time, put I decided against it. “You should burn it.” I said softly, offering it out to him.

I looked at the mask and gently removed her from my lap. I stood and walked over to the furnace, my eyes on the mask in my hands. I sighed softly and closed my eyes. It was harder than I thought, but about a minute later my hand reached out and tossed the mask into the fire. I stood there my eye opened to watch it burn away.

Krissy:

I hugged him from behind and kissed his shoulder. I supposed my time would come too, when I had to get rid of my knives. I wouldn’t be able to let this life go if I still had them.

I rubbed my hands over her arms, watching until nothing was left of the mask.

Krissy:

I squeezed him a little tighter for a moment then let go and took hold of his hand. “Shall we go up and see what Kyle is making?” I asked softly, looking up at him.

I didn't respond for a moment before I turned to smile softly at her and nodded.
