Perfect Assassins

"Wash what ever you want on me honey...you never need permission to touch me anywhere." I told her with a laugh. I ran a hand down her back and grabbed her but to accent my point.

Krissy:

I laughed and sat up. I tugged on his arm as I got out of bed for him to follow me.

I followed along, not caring that the two of us were naked, in fact in a way...I kind of liked that feeling.

I took him the bathroom and locked the door behind him. I turned the water on so it could be heating up. Looking to the mirror, frowning, I began to undo my bandage.

I watched her, curious to know what was under the bandage, but I also knew better than to stop her.

Krissy:

I unraveled the wrappings then took in a slow breath before peeling off the bandage. I tossed it in the trash as I looked at the wound in the mirror with grimace. The skin was puckered by the stitches. If I held my index finger and my thumb in an L, I could touch either end of the gash, it was about six inches long. At the bottom, a couple inches below my bellybutton, it was jagged and twisted but then went up in a straight line where they had to cut for surgery. I traced it slowly with my finger.

I wound my arms around her from behind, stopping her finger. "You know, it wasn't a compition to see who could scar more." I said jokingly, hoping to get her to smile.

Krissy:

I met his gaze through the mirror, my expression troubled. With another look at my naked body my eyes began to tear up. My body was covered in small scars, memories of minor cuts and scrapes, and bashes I had received over the years of being an assassin. But there were larger, more pronounced scars all along my body as well; there was a thick one on my side from a stab wound; two small dots on my stomach from when I had been shot and hospitalized, shortly before meeting Michael for the second time; I was peppered in bulled scars over my arms and legs, and I had a faint burn mark on my shoulder from when Melody’s cousin had sprayed me with acid.
I turned around in Michaels arms and pressed my face into the crook between his neck and shoulder. He had plenty of scars too, but somehow his just made him more attractive. The complexion of his skin made the scars look good, like veins of silver. He had no ugly scars, unlike me. He looked strong and dangerous, whereas, I looked weak and defenseless.

I sighed softly, "Scars define who we were, and what we have tried to do. Do not be ashamed of them, embrace them, because they show how strong of a will to survive you have had."

Krissy:

I hugged him tightly keeping my face pressed into his neck. “Its ugly though. They stand out too much… Like a tattoo I was forced to get.” I mumbled.

"Hush, its not a problem love. I like them, no matter what you feel about them." I said softly to her.

Krissy:

I let out a ling sigh then kissed the base of his neck gently before pulling him into the steaming shower with me. I still wasn’t convinced, but I was willing to let it go, there was nothing I could really do to remove them anyway.

I held her close in the shower, just kind of letting my hands wander aimlessly over her skin.

Krissy:

I leaned against him for support. It felt good to be under hot running water and not using a washcloth to clean myself. I got tired quickly though.

I held her up as I let the water run over us. "We should probably use soap now." I reminded her softly though I didn't move.

Krissy:
I stood up on my own and turned around to face him and I ran my head under the water to wash my hair.

I watched her as I started to wash myself with the bar of soap, getting every nook and cranny of my body I could.

Krissy:

I rubbed the runoff of shampoo over my body, using it as body wash before conditioning my hair. I stepped out of the stream of water so Michael could rinse off while I leaned against the shower wall.

I stepped into the vacant spot and silently rinsed myself off. I grabbed the shampoo and while still under the spray I washed my hair.

Krissy:

Once we finished in the shower I stepped out and wrapped myself in my towel. “I’m going to take a nap.” I said quietly, feeling drained.

I smiled softly at her, kissed the top of her head and gave her a gentle swat on the butt to get her moving. "Alright, I am going to get something to drink then I might join you on that nap."

Krissy:

I smiled softly and nodded before making my way to bed. I fell asleep almost instantly, not even bothering to crawl under the rumpled covers, or dress myself.

I watched her sleep for a second before getting dressed and heading out of the room.

Kyle:

I was sitting in the living room with my laptop in my lap. I had been making plans, difficult ones, but I had nearly finished now. I just had to bite the bullet and do it.

I walked past Kyle in the living room and went down to the basement. I went deeper inside to the furnace and the cases I had left next to them. I knelt down and went through the complicated motions to open the first one, running my hand over the three masks inside, reliving the memories before tossing them into the furnace. I repeated that with the second and third case. The last one I opened and paused. These three were my favorites. The wood mask, the iron mask, and the cloth mask.
