Talon:

Eventually I saw Rina and I walked over to her until I was standing behind her. "You look amazing in a dress....er...is this one of those things I am not supposed to talk about with you?" I felt more myself around her, though I mostly ignored the group of guys that sat close to her.

Rina:

I liked up in surprise and my eyes glanced over him. He looked incredible. “I- thank you. One of your people was kind enough to lend it to me.” I said, keeping my tone formal.

"What is ours is yours. We have little need for much of what we have, and perhaps what little gifts we can give you all can make up for the long road here as well as some of the things we must ask of you all while you are here." I said matching her formal tone with one of my own. I clasped my hands behind my back, though while my tone and posture was entirely formal. My face danced with faint amusement.

Rina:

I tilted my head. “What do you need us to do?” I asked suddenly feeling alert. I had assumed he brought us here because he was being paid by Brian, but was there another motive?

I gave her an amused look, "It's nothing major. Just a few rules that have to be followed here. Customs and traditions of my people that have to be upheld." I let my gaze trail over her people and mine absently.

Rina:

“Oh,” I followed is gaze. “I’m sure that won’t be a problem.” I said, but I was a little doubtful. Some of these men could be stubborn against change.

"If a good case can be made on somethings, your people will be allowed to keep them." I stated simply with a shrug.

Rina:

“Such as?” I asked, looking up at him again. Having finished my meal, I crossed my legs and rested my hands on my knee.

I fingered the white at my sleeve, "We would ask for any white fabric be turned over to us. We can collect it together and store it to be returned once you all leave. We can buy it as well. Should the case be made that it is important to the person, we can discuss from there. But the white holds meaning for us. Beyond that we have no real care what colors are worn."

Rina:

“I’m sure that won’t be a problem. We are your guests after all.” I got to me feet and smoothed the front of my dress down.

I nodded, "I can only wish that the others are as reasonable as you are."

Rina:

My lips quirked up at the corners. “I believe that is the first time you’ve ever used the word ‘reasonable’ and referred to me in the same sentence.” I said in amusement.

"Well...yeah. Usually you and I don't see eye to eye on things. So I am going to enjoy this moment while I have it." I said with a soft chuckle.

Rina:

I gave him a genuine smile. “Well don’t get too used to it. I’m sure it is only temporary.” I said.

"Of course." I smiled back and gave my head a slight tilt, "You have a wonderful smile you know..."

Rina:

I blinked in surprise. “I… Thank you.” I said, caught off guard. I suddenly couldn’t think of anything to say, I just stood there awkwardly, with my hands clasped in front of me.

I hadn't expected to catch her off guard this much, so I didn't say anything after that. I simply watched her, my head still slightly tilted.

Rina:

After a few moments of silence I said, “I should go check on the girls. This isn’t really my scene.” I gestured vaguely to the festivities and the people dancing out on the floor.

I nodded, "Of course." I gave her a low bow, though my eyes still danced with amusement.

Rina:

“Who should I ask to show us to our rooms?” I asked, I wanted to get the girls safe and comfortable.

"Any of the serving staff or guards. Just tell them who you are. I already informed them of your rooms. They are three rooms connected together around your own living space." I said with a small wave.

Rina:

I nodded in appreciation before turning to make my way back to the girls. When I got to the wagon, Dorian was inside with both girls. Maleen was sleeping next to him and he and Wren both had plates of food, I assumed someone had brought it for them.
“How are you doing?” I asked Wren, climbing in to sit next to her.

Wren:

I looked up at Rina with a piece of bread sticking out of my mouth. "Oh....I'm fine." I nodded and looked down at my plate. "Maleen is finally sleeping so that's good."

Rina:

“Good. I didn’t realize she would take it so hard.” I said with a little sigh. “I think she’ll be okay, she’s just young.” Dorian said. I was still unsure how I felt about him.

I opened my mouth to say that I was young too, but I closed it before any sounds came out. I wasn't really young was I...I was an angel, and who knows how long I had been in heaven.
