On Our Own

(i understand completely)

I look at her and back around at the woods surounding us, not sure of what to do myself. "I dont really know.... I think we should try to get out of the woods...They could be tracking a signal."

Will
"Im not sure how we even got here, let alone trying to get back, Lita. Lets focus on one thing at a time, hm?" i ask, rubbing my hands together trying to darken and thicken the smoke i was emiting. I havnt gotten the smoke thing down yet, and im not sure throwing fire into the nearby woods would be a good idea

Mina:

"Okay..." I said reluctantly. "But how do we get out of the woods? Which way is out? And besides, isn't it ore jungley? Or rainforesty?"

Lita:

"Right, Okay." I said and looked at my feet walking in the sand. I tried to foces on keeping my eyes from watering again.

Dont you get all technical with me now" i say trying to have alighthearted tone. "There are trees, woods will suffice" i say and smile shaking my head a bit. "maybe i can.. yeah." i look over and see a bigish rock. Not small enough to not be seen if it was thrown, but not big enough to be unmovable. I let Mina go and hold my arms out, concentrating to lift it. With some difficulty i move my arms upward, straining a little. I lift it over us, bringing my arms back and with a gasp of exertion throwing it as hard as i could out of the trees

Will
I look over at Lita with a slight frown, I wasnt sure what to do but to keep the signal up. "Any ideas? I dont think they are on the beach to be honest."

Mina:

My eyes grew wide when he lifted the rock. "What if you had dropped that on us! What were you thinking?" I demanded.

Lita:

I turned to look at the trees nervously. I badly didn't want to go in there. I saw something fly up out of the trees, a brownish blob. "Hey Will, did you see that?" I asked squinting in that direction.

It wasnt even near us, Mina relax. I was thinking of signaling them" I say and rub my arms, feeling strained. "Ow. that was heavy."

Will
I look over where she was looking, seeing what looked like a rock falling over the treeline. "yeah i did.... Jackie maybe? threw something?" i say stopping and turning to walk towards the trees, where the rock flew

Mina:

"Oh..."  I said.  "Wait, couldn't you levitate me or something?  I cool look and see if anyone is near us.  

Lita:

"Wait!'  I grabbed his arm.  "What if it isn't him though?  What if we get lost, or hurt, or fall into a crevice?"  I asked nervously.

I am not too comfterble lifting people, yet... If i dropped you that wouldnt end well..." i say wincing a bit. "I picked Will up once and dropped him. He wasnt very happy about that." I say scratching my head. He had a little bit of a freakout, fireballs were thrown. Didnt like that. "But hopefully they saw that."

Will
"What else is going to throw a boulder, Lita?" I ask her seriously with a scowl. "I am sure we will be fine, lets go"

 
 
 

I start to say something but sigh and shrug. "Fine. stand still until i get you to a stable branch, alright?" I say and focus on picking her up, moving her towards a nearby tree, moving slow so i dont drop her

Will
I make my way into the forest, moving through the brush and trees. "We will find them," i say moving towards where the rock flew out of the treeline.

Mina:

It was an odd sensation of him levitating me, like I was being supported by my whole body. I reached up the the first branch and grabbed hold. I climbed the rest of the way and looked out over the canopy. "Hey!" I shouted. "Is anyone out there?"

"Can you see anything" i call up to her as i look around. There wasnt much sound outside of bugs, crickets mainly as it was starting to get dark out. "Mina we better find somewhere to crash, its getting dark"

 
 
 

I nervously look at her as she clung to the tree, " Mina come on you gotta get down!" I call up to her. It was a ling way and I dont think the branches below her are going to be stable again for another trip. "Look if you cant climb you gotta jump! Youre too far from me I cant pick you up from there! But I can catch you!"

Will
I was going to respond to Lit a before I felt her stumble into me again, I catch myself and her so we didnt fall, but just barely. "I did hear it, yeah. Also should probably watch your step... not really much of a trail out here." I say before helping her back to a normal standing position. "

 
 
 
 

Yeah i dont mind)

Mina, stop screwing around come on!" I say and frown a little looking at her. "Whats wrong? Can you see anything?"

Will
"Dualy noted." i say and rub my hands together again, sparking up some more smolders, and eventually a small fire on my right hand, providing some light. "better?"

 
 
 

I go to say something but stay quiet, not sure of what to do about that. "Ok, just... try to relax alright? ill think of something"

Will
I moved slowly so we wouldnt get tripped up in the brush, eventually I start to hear something. Sounded like Jackie and Mina. Good, we were getting close. "I think we are getting closer to them"

Lita:

I would have called out for them, but I was nervous that it would attract more than just them. I heard a high pitched whine and knew it instantly. "It is them!" I forgot my hesitations in my urgency to reach my sister. "Mina!" I called out in a loud whisper.

Mina:

"Lita!" I called back, louder. "Jackie, I'm coming down!" I told him, struggling to find a lower branch with my foot.

Jackie
here! Just jump, ill catch you" I call up to her, prepared to slow her fall with my mind. Probably not enough for it to be a comfortable landing, by enough so she wouldn't get hurt.

Lita:

I stumbled out of the circle of light around Will and toward the sound of my sister's voice.  There was a loud crack, like a tree branch snapping, a startled shriek and suddenly the darkness was lit up by my falling sister and the electricity crackling off her.  I drew energy from Will and Jackie to create a force feild to break her fall.

Jackie
I went to try and catch her but i suddenly felt drained of all energy, but only briefly. It went away once Mina landed safely. I assumed Lita sapped some energy for a shield, i wasnt extremly salty over it. Will looked annoyed for a brief moment before the look left his face. "You ok?" i ask Mina quietly.

Mina:

I was smothered by my sister's embrace, and I hugged her back just as tightly. Once she loosened her grip on me I nodded to Jackie. "I'm okay. Especially now that we are all together."

Lita:

I kept a firm grip on my sister. "What happened to you two? Are you okay? are you hurt?" I fretted over my sister like she was years younger than me and not minutes.

Jackie
I nodded a little bit at Mina's response, glad she was ok. "I dont know what happened, are you guys ok?" I ask back at Lita and Will.

"We're confused, but other than that I think we are pretty much ok." Will says looking at me with a blank face. "I dont think we should stay here, we should set up camp on the beach.."

Lita:

I nodded in agreement and kept a firm hold on my sister to protect her from anything lurking in the darkness. "Lead the way Will."

Will
I nod and start walking back from where we came, or at least aproximatley. "Jackie, come on." I say seeing he lagged behind before finally catching back up to us. As we continued to walk i kept feeling we werent getting anywhere. I brightened the dull flame i kept going with my hand but it didnt seem to do anything. "is it just me or is it getting darker?"

"Im pretty sure we have passed by here like 3 times, already." I heard jackie say from behind all of us. "We are rewalking our tracks in this mud."
