Why Me? (reserved)

I smiled. The servant bowed. "Your mother worked on that every day while she was sick. She wanted it to be her present to you. She already decorated the inside of your room before that." He said politely.

I gently placed my hand to my lips, my eyes full of tears. "Its beautiful..."

I smiled gently looking at it. "Your mother was a kind woman. And very talented." The servant said looking at her.

I nodded a little, unable to speak now.

I gently hugged her from behind so she could keep looking at it.

I rubbed my eyes, trying to keep the tears away so i could look more.

I smiled. "Its okay. You can cry." I said gently.

I turned around in his arms, my head against his chest. my shoulders shook and my tears dropped, but i didnt make a sound.

I gently held her and pet her head. I didn't say anything either.

my shoulders shook more, letting out a whimper.

I held her close. "Its alright." I whispered. "Just let it out."

I cried against his chest, my sounds still quiet. I had never been a loud crier.

I smiled and just held her. The servant nodded and left us alone

After a while, I had calmed down to just sniffling. I pulled away from him, rubbing my eyes with my head down. I didn't wish for him to see me like this.

I gently lifted her head and kissed her. "Its alright to be sad." I said.

I shook my head, rubbing my eyes again. "I don't like it. I hate it. Being sad is awful..." I said softly, walking into the room.

I gently followed. Inside the room was huge. The walls were decorated in beautiful forest like murals. It looked like a real forest. There were deer and small woodland animals amungst the trees. Beside the doors was a beautiful wooden desk also ornatly decorated with patterns. A large amuior stood on the side of the room. The other side were large windows that had stained glass of fairies and playful mythical creatures. There were doors that opened onto a large balcony over looking the beautiful landscape behind the castle. At the back of the room was a large bed. A soft mattress awaited with blankets embroidered with golden stitches to form a fairy land. The wooden posts at the end of the bed were spiraled up in the same curvy detail as the desk and amuor. Soft pink drapes covered the bed for privacy. I looked around amazed. This must have taken years upon years to complete.

I sat on the bed gently, looking around. My lip quivered again as more years began to fall. This was all too much for me, I couldn't handle it.

I looked at her. "Aida. I know this is hard." I said gently sitting beside her. "But your mother was a very active person. If she wasn't doing something for the kingdom it was in here. She had to stay busy." I said gently petting her hair.

"But why? I don deserve this...." I cried.

I gently held her. "You are a princess. You deserve everything." I said.

"I don't!" I cried harder.

I gently rubbed her back. "Sweety. She wanted to do this for you. That's all."

I leaned against him, crying still. "I don't deserve this..." I whimpered.

I gently rubbed her back. "Of course you do." I said kissing her head.
