The vampire and the human(reserved)

I rushed Down the parking lot. I had to reach the gate before it shut compleatly

I bit my lip, closing my eyes in suspense.

"We will be fine" I said hitting the gas going even faster. I pushed the truck harder

I nodded a little and sat up more, looking around.

I crashed through the gate my head slamming into the wheel. "We made it. For now" I said gunning it down the road

"Good good." I relaxed a little, looking behind us.

"You know were not safe any more right?" I asked swiftly

"I was never safe, you know..."

"I'm here to protect you now" I said reaching over and gently rubbing her thigh with my hand

I jumped a little bit then looked down at his hand. I gently placed my hand over his. My skin was ice

I rubbed my thumb against her hand the felt somethif slam into the back of the truck on its roof. It landed hard enough to make a dent and my face went white "they wouldn't" I muttered my mouth open in pure shock as I fished into my pants pockets to get my phone. I flicked it open. Searched through then dropped the phone with a gasp. The department had leaked my information. Letting every vampire know just how many I had killed. Who I had killed. All of it. I was now targeted by both sides

A hiss formed in the back of my throat as I glared at the ceiling. I smelled vampire and I knew they were trying to kill him. "Keep driving. I will handle this." I unbuckled myswlf and opened the window and climbed to the roof of the truck, beginning to fight the vampire.

I tried to keep the truck steady. Their fighting caused it to sway and swerve. I was struggling hard to keep it still when I saw that the road ended into a ditch. There was no way we could avoid it. In a instant I unlocked my seatbelt, climbed to the roof, wrapped my arms around her and dove off. The last thing I saw was the confused look of the vampire as he plunged over the 500 foot cliff. When I hit the ground I let out a grunt of pain and collapsed into a ball holding her to keep her safe, but at the same time in pain from the fall

I groaned when we both hit the ground, my eyes shutting before impact. "Are you alright?" I asked him, sitting up.

I groaned coughing hard my ribs feeling like they were on fire and my lungs felt like they were filled with magma. "I'm ok" i croaked out pushing myself to my feet slow and shakily. I took a deep breath trying to regain my composure and looked around. We were in a forest surrounded by trees everywhere. It was insanely dark without the headlights. Well it was dark for me. It was probably only like 8:30 at night but the trees blocked all light

I checked him over, frowning.

I groaned as I touched a sensitive spot on my side. A few scrapes were on my cheeks and face. "I guess I loss my beauty" I said to her sadly

"You have a few broken ribs." I frowned more, helping him up.

"More importantly though" I muttered and ran a hand across my face. My hand moves up slightly as it went over the bump of the scrapes. "I lost my beauty" I said again then looked down. "So I guess this is where we part since I lost it" I muttered

"You're fine." I said softly, gently placing my hands against the cuts. "There's no such thing as perfection when it comes to beauty." I made sure he was looking at me. "You're still mine."

I leaned in pressing my lips against hers softly. She felt like safety. She made me feel safe

I kissed him back softly, hugging him close.

I pressed into her starting to shake tears spilling down my cheeks and onto her arms

I pulled away and dried his tears. "Why are you crying?" I asked softly, rubbing his back.

"The people may have been horrible there but that was my home. The people who I've lived my whole life with are trying to kill me. The vampires know all about me. I don't know how to survive both of them hunting me. I have you and that helps more than you'll ever know, but it hurts. For the first time in my life I feel lost. Like I don't belong anywhere"
