University Roommates (Restart)

Emily:
I narrowed my eyes again and dropped my hand. Then I sat up on the cushion and slid over till i was on my knees next to him in the center of the couch, more level to his height that way. "Maybe theres no bite, but kittens have nasty claws," I said, before reaching over to grab the pillow myself.

Ashton:

My eyebrows arched at her actions. “Nope,” I said switching the pillow to my opposite arm and grasping it more tightly. The movie now had approximately zero percent of my attention now.

Emily:
He was holding it just out of my reach and if I leaned over any further i'd practically be in his lap. I decided to try a different tactic. "You're not gonna be able to hold it up like that forever," I said, teasingly as I poked him in the side, hoping he was ticklish enough to drop the pillow. I couldnt even really remember what movie we were watching.

Ashton:

In an instant I snatched up both of her wrists and held them pressed against the back of the couch. “Unless you accidentally want to get punched in the face, I wouldn't recommend that,” I warned and released her.

Emily:
I sat frozen for a second, unsure how exactly he moved so fast. My hands stayed against the back of the couch for a second as well before I dropped them into my lap and rubbed at my wrists. He hadn't hurt me, but I hadn't been expecting that. "So... ticklish then?" I asked, totally forgetting about the pillow.

Ashton:

“Not exactly.” I shrugged with a glance at her wrists and frowned. “Sorry, I didn't mean to do that,” I muttered guiltily. I didn't want her to think I was violent or aggressive.”

Emily:
I waved off his apology. "Its fine, no harm done," I said. "If I, uh, knew you wanted to keep the pillow that badly I would have let you have it," I said, smiling at him.

Ashton:

I rolled my eyes. “Its not so much that I want the pillow, but that I don’t want you to have it,” I said and looked down at her with a sly smile. My vantage point gave me a nice, if a bit shadowed, view of her cleavage.

Emily:
I laughed and shook my head. "Well if thats the case, then give. It. Back," I said. "I tried being nice, I tried tickling, I tried asking for it back...next time im gonna just come over there and take it," I told him, even thought the first thing was pretty much a lie.

Ashton:

“You can try, but I doubt you can succeed,” I told her with raised eyebrows, daring her to come at me. “You don't look to strong to me.” I poked her in the side with my free hand for emphasis.

Emily:
I laughed and squirmed back, swatting at his hand. Just because he wasnt ticklish, doesn't mean I wast. "Hey, looks can be deceiving. Lets not make this harder than it has to be..." I trailed off as I reached for the arm that was holding the pillow. I grabbed on and started tugging it closer to me.

Ashton:

I grasped the pillow tighter to my body on the opposite side which pulled her closer to me. A low chuckle escaped me as she tried to get the pillow away with no avail. It was a simple matter of strength: I had more than she did.

Emily:
I kept pulling, letting out a breathless whimper when he didnt even budge. And when he did budge, it was only to pull me and the pillow, closer to him. "Stop it. You're missing the movie...." I said, pretty much sure he didnt care about the movie, but still willing to try anything to get this stupid pillow back.

Ashton:

“I'm missing the movie?” I asked incredulously. “You're the one making such a fuss over the pillow. What makes you want it so bad, hm? Or are you doing this just to be close to me?” I teased her. It had been a while since I had flirted with someone. It had been a while since I had been around a girl worth flirting with.

Emily:
I shook my head but couldn't help a smile at his words. "Maybe I just like a challenge," I said. My hand was still wrapped around his arm. "If I wanted to be close to you, it would have been a lot easier than this," I teased right back.

Ashton:

I watched her face. “You want a challenge, hm?” I asked. I put my hand on her shoulder and easily broke her grasp on my arm. While restraining her, I quickly tucked the pillow underneath me. “Go for it, I dare you.”

Emily:
I laughed again. "Well thats not fair! You're like a brick," I said, shoving his arm. He was now sitting on the pillow and the only way to get it would be to pull it out from under him or show him off. Both of which I wasn't strong enough to do. "If you wanted me to grab your ass, you could have just asked," I smirked, pushing on his leg half heartedly to see if I could grab the end of the pillow.

Ashton:

“Well at least I know you think of it,” I commented smugly. Her efforts were fruitless no matter what she tried. I finally gave in. “Fine you can have it but on one condition only,” I told her, pulling the pillow up and hugging it to my chest for safekeeping.

Emily:
I groaned impatiently but couldn't help the smile either way. I arched and eyebrow and looked at him. "Fine, whats your dumb condition?" I asked, turning on the couch to fully face him.

((Hey girl, so sorry I haven't been on in awhile. I just transfered to my dream college and I'm super busy getting everything worked out for the start of classes. I want to get into a routine of replying often but that probably won't be for another week or two. I just wanted to let you know. I haven't disappeared completely, just for a little while! I will start replies as soon as I can!))

Ashton:

I held the pillow in my lap, preparing to hand it over if she agreed. One corner of of my mouth quirked up. “I get the remote all day tomorrow with full control of what's on the TV. No Complaints from you, or this pillow remains my hostage and who knows when you'll get it back.” I said, looking her right in the eyes.

Emily:
I narrowed my eyes and considered my options. He was no longer sitting on the pillow so it probably wouldn't be impossible for me to steal it. But his terms weren't THAT bad, even though I was not known to give up the remote. "How about you have the remote for HALF the day," I tried to compromise while inching my fingers toward the pillow.

Ashton:

I I raised my eyebrows with her. “How bout I take the pillow to my room and make sure you wont ever get it again?” I was not one to back down from my position, no matter how amusing she was.

Emily:
My mouth twitched and I tried not to laugh. "See, now thats unreasonable," I told him. "Maybe I don't even want the pillow anymore," I bluffed, made obvious by the fact that my hand was still creeping closer to it.
