Body Guard

I wound my arms around her again, gently rubbing her back with one hand while the other cupped the back of her head. "You make my life difficult everyday Jules. It's part of your charm." I hoped my tease would make her feel better. "Also I'm getting you filthy right now. I'm sweaty. Really sweaty."

In all I didn't know really how to feel about all of today. Since I wasn't working out anymore, my brain picked up all the thoughts and worries that had been hiding just behind the surface. I could lose my job, she could request I no longer protect her. She might change everything she once did now. Things could very well have changed in an instant.

Julie:
I giggled a little and pulled away, sniffling. "Yeah, you're gross," I said, with an eye roll, clearly being sarcastic. Even a sweaty mess, he looked good. 

I was starting to feel a little awkward about jumping on him and cleared my throat. "I should let you finish up here. I'm sure your dad went back to get my dad, so i can just wait over there for you to be done and then maybe we can go get something to eat? Because I'm starving." I told him with a smile. I hadn't eaten anything all day and it was not dark out so I knew I needed something.

Letting her go again I smirked and shed out of my tanktop. Tossing it at her face I kept my tease going, "Yeah, yeah. Better to sweat like this than the time you tried to get me to do yoga with your other friends." Now shirtless I folded my arms when she mentioned going back. "You don't get to go back now. Not without me. Now we can head out with me in this state or you can wait while I go shower and change. But if I suspect you are going to leave while I go shower I am just going to tie you up in the guys locker room while I take care of things."

Julie:
I laughed and made a show of throwing his shirt on the ground like it was disgusting. "You liked he yoga, don't act like you didn't." I told him.

I rolled my eyes again at his comment and leaned against the wall. "No need to tie me up," I said, mimicking his position with my arms crossed. I tried not to look too hard at his now shirtless chest and smirked. "I'll wait right here. I wont move from this spot." I promised. "We can't leave with you smelling like that. For once in your life, you might actually repulse women," I teased.

Snickering I shook my head. "I attract women the same as you attract guys." Ruffling her hair while I passed I made my way towards the locker room. In the locker room I took a few minutes to grab my soaps and scrub myself in the shower. Dressing in my clothes again I raked my fingers through my hair then went out to find her.

Julie:
When he disappeared from view to take a shower, I pushed off the wall and looked around the gym. I didn't spend a lot of time in here and a lot of the machines, I didn't know how to use. But the huge punching bag that Cody had been using looked easy enough. I took a glance around to make sure the gym was really empty and kicked off my heels. I stood next to the bag and tried and mimic the position that someone might take if they were gonna punch it. I used as much force as I could to hit the bag and it barely budged. And my hand hurt a little. "Ow..." I mumbled.

Walking up behind her I chuckled softly. "That is not how you do it. Come here." Against the wall was a shelf full of gloves. Taking a pair that looked about her size I went over and took her hands without asking. Tucking one glove under my arm I slipped the other one onto her hand then repeated the process for the other hand. Bringing her back to face the bag I told her softly, "Normally you don't hit it without gloves. You can of course but if you don't hit it dead on you can scrape up your knuckles. Now make a fist..." I remained behind her as I carefully arranged her body and talked her through the process of how to add your body weight behind the hit. "Now go on, try a couple."

Julie:
I jumped a little when he walked up behind me and stayed quiet when he grabbed my hands to put the gloves on. I did as he asked even though it was now a little distracting. He smelled a hell of a lot better than he had before and his hair was wet.

I tried punching the bag again and it was definitely more successful, but still didnt move the bag a whole lot. "you LIKE doing this?" I askee, already out of breath just from the few swings i took.

Chuckling I gently nudged her out of the way. "At times. It's something mindless. I can stop thinking because all that exists is the bag and hitting it." Settling into the same position I'd placed her in I slowly released a breath then stepped forward into a heavy hit. I landed right in the center and the bag jerked from the hit.

Julie:
I narrowed my eyes playfully, trying to hide how impressed I was. "Show off," I mumbled. "Do you use these to hit people?" I asked, holding up my useless, glove covered hands. I poked him in the stomach with them.

"I could. But really the point is to protect your fingers. I use different kinds of gloves if I'm going to spar someone. If it's a real fight...well I dont expect to have time to grab gloves." Stilling the bag I looked at the gloves on her hands and shrugged.

Julie:
I frowned a little at the thought of him needing to fight people and not just as a hobby. "Can you take them off me?" I asked, staring at my hands. They were bulky and I couldn't move my fingers too much inside of them to get them off.

Going over I took one of her hands in mine undoing the Velcro and tugging it off. "Removing them is using your teeth to undo the Velcro, then tucking it in your armpit and pulling your hand out. Then doing the other is easier." I didn't give her a chance to try as I worked off the other one and went to replace them on the shelf.

Julie:
I crossed my arms over my chest when he pulled the gloves off and watched him put them away. "Are you ready to go eat or do you have stuff to finish up here?" I asked. I did interrupt his work out. I picked up my heels and didn't really want to put them on.

"I need to toss this in my locker." Scooping up my discarded tanktop I balled it up even though it was damp with sweat. "Other than that I'm ready to go where ever you want. I do need a drink though."

Julie:
"I'm really hungry," I told him. I gripped my shoes with one hand and started for the door. "Lets go to your locker than cause I'm gonna pass out if I dont eat soon and then you'll have to carry me," I warned.

I raised an eyebrow at her but shrugged and nodded. The locker room had been empty by the time I'd been through it. And I did a quick check after entering. I was ready to warn her if she decided to come in after me. But the mens locker room was empty. I paused by my locker and grabbed the lock, turning the dial to work through the combinations.

Julie:
I figured it would be empty in there, since the entire place had been empty for the entire time I had been in the building. "Can you do that any slower?" I complained, watching him slowly turn the dial. I might be getting cranky without food.

The lock clicked and after pulling it off I tugged open the locker. Tossing the shirt into the little basket at the bottom I gazed at the neatly folded clothing on a shelf and the soaps and deodorant above that. Hanging in the back though was an old tie-dyed shirt. It would be much too small on me now but it hung from the hook where I'd put it long ago. It was a shirt Jules had made for me long ago, and one I'd used to work out in until it got much too small. Now I kept it as a good luck charm. Satisfied that it was all in order I closed it up and locked it. "Alright. Food."

Julie:
"Thank god!" I said, I grabbed his arm and pulled him out with me. I wasn't sure what I wanted to eat but I didn't really care. "I think I have food in my fridge if you're okay with whatever is in there." I said. I didn't want to bother Lucy again, especially since I had disrespected her kitchen and didn't eat the food she had made me before.

Chuckling I let her pull me away. "Alright, alright. Let's head to your room then." Things seemed better, she was more herself than she had been earlier. It was enough to help me start relaxing a bit.

Julie:
The walk to my room was a quick one since I was practically dragging him along. When I got there, I unlocked the door and shoved my shoes on the floor. I ran for the fridge and started pulling things out to make a sandwich.

Her enthusiasm put me in a good mood and I didn't mind her dragging me along. Once we were back in her rooms and she rushed the fridge I went for the sink. Cupping my hands under the water I began to drink, trying to keep it to small sips though really I wanted to gulp it down.

Julie:
I giggled and paused. "Okay, at least I grabbed a plate Cody," I teased. I continued making my sandwich, shoving pieces of lunch meat in my mouth as I did. I was already feeling better and the hunger headache I had was done.

Turning off the taps and shaking out my hands I winked at her. "I'll remember that the next time you work out. I'll make you wait to use water." Grabbing the towel I dried my hands then went to flop onto the couch.
