Beyond the Castle, part one. (Two person.)

Araline:

I watched Ario with some amusement with smiling to myself. The wolf ventured a bit closer stepping between bushes.

Ario:

I kept the wolf in the corner of my eye. Inwardly I was excited, I had always been facinated by wolves, but had never seen one untill this morning.

Araline:

I turned to watch her as she came out of the shadows a little ways behind us and sat down looking after us.

Ario:

I stopped and looked at the wolf. I crouched down again and reaching into my pack I pulled out more of the dried meat, offering it out to the wolf agin.

Araline:

I stopped when he did. The wolf was still for a while before standing up and walking to the side a bit, closer to Ario than before then stopped and watched him again.

Ario:

I met the wolves eyes but didn't move otherwise. I moved the meat out more, so that it could take it from my hand with out touching me.

Araline:

She stepped forward again and leaned so her nose was inches away from the meat but didn’t take it, just sniffed it.

Ario:

I smiled softly and whispered, my voice gently and soft. "Go on, you can have it."

Araline:

She reached and delicately took it. I was surprised at how gentle she was, even the dogs in the castle would snatch food from your hand.

Ario:

I smiled at the wolf happily. I sat cross legged and once again offered my hand out to her again. I wanted to see if she would let me touch her.

Araline:

I sat on a rock a little behind Ario and next to the stream. The wolf looked at him then lightly touched her nose to the tips of his fingers.

Ario:

A soft smile settled over my face. I had never smiled like that before. I watched the wolf, my hand not moving beyond to move slightly.

Araline:

She took another step and nuzzled his hand slightly then sat back.

Ario:

I grinned happily. Her fur was almost silky, but a bit rougher. She was now out of touching range of arms length. To touch her again I would have to lean forward so I glaned over my shoulder to look at Araline. My happiness and excitement showing through.

Araline:

I smiled seeing the look on his face, it was new, he would never have looked like that in the castle.

Ario:

Her eyes caught my gaze like they so often did. It was only by a matter of willpower that I was able to tear my gaze away to look back at the wolf.

Araline:

I watched them both while mindlessly running my hands through the water. The wolf had inched closer to him while he was looking at me and now watched him with her head tilted to the side.

Ario:

I was surprised when the wolf had come closer while I had been looking at Araline. I smiled gently and reaching over slowly I touched the side of its face before moving to scratch behind its ears.

Araline:

The wolf slightly tilted her hat down so he could get to her better. I was amazed he was able to do this.

Ario:

I smiled happily bringing both hands over to the wolf, scratching its cheek and behind its ears.

Araline:

I heard a barking sound in the distance and the wolf skittered away from Ario instantly pricking her ear to the sound.

Ario:

I looked at the wolf sadly, my hands resting in my lap as I listened to the barking sounds.

Araline:

The wolf bounded away again towards, what I assumed, was the wold pack.

Ario:

I got to my feet a look of longing coming over my face. Some part of me wanted to go join the pack, and that part was hard to resist. I turned to Araline and gave her a smile. "Come on lets keep going."

Araline:

I pulled my shoes on and stood up next to him. “Alright.” I said absently looking off in the direction the wolf had gone.
