Michael:

I smiled slightly. "I haven't gone to bed yet. So its no trouble." I said. I waved her in as I sat cross legged on the bed.

Krissy:

I hesitantly went into the room. When ever I had a bad dream or felt sick at night I would come in here and bother Kyle, though he had never been as irritable towards me when I was upset as he was during the day. I sat on the floor close to the bed and said softly, “I couldn’t sleep.”

Michael:

I climbed down and sat down next to her. "Why not?" I asked looking at her.

Krissy:

“I don’t know.” I said with a sigh even though I did know. “I had mad dreams, I guess.” I raised my shoulders then let them fall in a shrug.

Michael:

I nodded looking at the ground. "I know how you feel. I can't remember a night where I haven't had a bad dream." I looked at her and smiled. "I have found that if you think of all the good things you have done before you go to sleep it helps."

Krissy:

I chewed on my lip. “Yeah, I guess.” I sighed wrapping my arms loosely around my knees.

Michael:

I put an arm around her shoulders and rested my forhead against the side of her head. "Maybe a glass of warm milk might help you instead? It works for Ebony."

Krissy:

I laughed softly and smiled. “Maybe it would.” I murmured lifting my hand up to the side of his face. I already felt a bit better just being with him.

Michael:

I leaned my head against her hand smiling at her. "Then lets go get you some then send you to bed." I said softly.

Krissy:

I nodded and got to my feet pulling the blanket up a bit so I wouldn’t trip over it.

Michael:

I got up as well and headed down stairs. Getting a glass full of milk I put it into the microwave and heated it up. Leaning against the counter I waited for the microwave to be done. Once it was I offered the glass out to Krissy.

Krissy:

I took the glass and looked at the milk for a moment, a long moment, then slowly brought the glass to my lips and took a sip. I shrugged. “Huh, it isn’t actually that bad.” I said surprised.

Michael:

I smiled at her. "Can you see why Ebony likes it then?" I asked winking at her.

Krissy:

“I can. I am not sure I will make a habit of having it like this, but it is nice.” I said and took another sip.

Michael:

"Yeah, Ebony only drinks it when she is extremely tired and wants to sleep well, or after having bad dreams." I said smiling at her.

Krissy:

“Hmm.” I mumbled. I glanced up as there was a soft knock on the kitchen door. It pushed open and I expected to see Kyle or Ebony. “Dad!” I set the glass down and went to him immediately throwing my arms around his neck in a hug.

Michael:

I nodded respectfully to Krissy's dad. I wondered if he knew about how his children had both kissed someone. I still couldn't believe that I had kissed Krissy.

Krissy:

I puled back smiling up at him. “What are you doing back? Where is mom?” I looked around him then hugged him again. He smiled and patted me on the back. “Your mother sent me back, apparently Kris is still unwilling to accept my help.” He told me. “You were with Kris? When is mom going to be back?” I asked stepping back and leaning against the counter. “I am not sure, Krissy, what are you two doing up? It is three in the morning.”

Michael:

"Well I have yet to sleep, and I was helping Krissy try and go back to sleep." I said smiling. "Ebony and Kyle are asleep in the guest room I think."

Krissy:

I looked at Michael. “Oh? I didn't know that.” I muttered. “You couldn't sleep?” My dad asked, and I shrugged leaning against him. “I had a bad dream.” I said and yawned. “I am better now though.”

Michael:

I put an arm around Krissy. "And I don't sleep all that often." I said shrugging slightly.

Krissy:

“I didn't expect to see any one until morning. You two should get to bed though, I am going to head that way myself.” My dad said and I nodded and stepped forward hugging him again before going to the kitchen door. “Good night.” I said over my shoulder to him and Michael. Before going up to my room again.

Michael:

I looked after her smiling softly. A small part of me wished that I could have given her a good night kiss, but the rest of me quickly shushed that part up.

Andrew:

I turned to look at Michael, studying him for a moment. “Nothing happened while I was gone, I take it,” I said. “Nothing bad I mean. No one is hurt?”

Michael:

"Hurt? No. But something did happen." I said telling him about our experience in the forest.
