Perfect Assassins

Krissy:

I made a face. “Yeah that was embarrassing, I was not going to die though.” I said rolling my eyes and rubbing the back of my neck. “What else do you remember?” I asked my expression more serious, I wondered if she remembered the incident of her trying to off herself by climbing over the balcony.

Lexi leaned against the wall, thinking so hard that her head started to hurt again. "Um... I remember meeting Melody and Zane, and of course, Melody's crazy family. I wonder how those two are doing and if they've gotten married yet... Um... I remember meeting Will and almost getting killed by the general and how Will and Kyle fought the ENTIRE flight back."

which is always fun" i mutter

Krissy:

“Yeah, yeah.” I said waving it away. “Will was rude first by the way.” I said in defense of my brother. “We can't tell whats missing if you just give key points. Do you feel like any thing's missing?” I asked her. “Some times going into a coma like that and waking up shocks the brain into locking things away.”

Lexi bit her lip, holding her head for a moment. "I don't know... Do you remember when we went to the hotel not long after we met? I can't remember anything after that until we went to the beach."

Ebony:

I glanced at the balcony window consideringly. It was tempting to escape again. They had Lexi back, and it seems I had been momentarily forgotten. I didn't mind, after all Lexi had been good friends with all of them, and she had just woken up out of a coma.

Krissy:

“Yeah, I do.” I said glumly and leaned against the wall. “Do you remember Zach?” I asked unable to keep myself from wincing a bit at the thought of him.

Lexi frowned. "Zach? Zach who?" she asked, confused. "I don't know anybody by that name."

Krissy:

I looked at her worriedly again. “That's a no then? I don't blame you. Alright, you remember Mel's cousin's, you said so. You remember what happened there? I assume you remember GeGe and KiKi and all the others. Remember when they accidentally splashed acid on Jake and I? Also do you remember when you and Kyle left me with them to go find Jake? Remember how Kyle hated him?” I quized her. This had all been before we knew Will and Michael.

Lexi frowned. "Krissy, we didn't leave you to go find Jake. I never left because he kidnapped me, remember?" she asked, sounding worried herself as if she didn't trust her own memories.

Krissy:

“Whatever, same thing for us really. I was still left all alone by myself with those loons.” I said crossing my arms. I looked at the floor and sighed. “Remember Eric?” I asked quietly blinking quickly so my eyes wouldn't water.

Lexi shrugged and shook her head helplessly. She honestly didn't have any idea who Zach and Eric were, what happened in that gap in her memory... "What are you not telling me, Krissy?"

Michael:

I woke up and seeing no one in the room I shot a questioning look to Ebony. She motioned with her head out the door before making a shooing gesture to me. I raised an eyebrow before leaving the room and looking around. We had quite a crowd now. I smiled though, seeing Kyle was here....and Lexi!

Krissy:

I glanced up seeing Michael and smiled softly again. “Nothing, or lots of things depending. It doesn't really matter though. I'd forget more than half the things that have happened to me if I could.” I said still looking past her. I grabbed her sleeve and pulled her back to Kyle. “Key's? I need some thing out of your car please.” I asked.

Kyle:

I wound an arm around Lexi and dug in my pocket for my keys tossing them to Krissy. “I'll be back in a sec.” She said disappearing down the hall.

Lexi looked up into Kyle's eyes and looked angry for a minute. "She won't help me fill the gaps in my memory..." she complained.

Kyle:

“What do you mean the gaps in your memory?” I asked looking down at her in concern.

"She won't tell me who the h311 Eric and Zach are," Lexi complained. "And I can't remember anything from when we entered the hotel after we met to the beach like three days later."

Kyle:

I raised my eyes at her. “Um. You don't remember any of that?” I asked in bewilderment. “Maybe it will come back to you. Um, lets see. Eric was Krissy's best friend when she was younger, I never liked him much, he was killed shortly after joining with the people who were trying to get you. Zach, the bastard, well there a lot about him it was best if you forgot, but Krissy ended up torturing him and thought she killed him but he got out and came back for you... He's dead now. When we first met at the hotel...” I held her a little tighter as I paused for a moment. “You slipped of the balcony,” I told her bending the truth a little. “And the next day we went to my uncles house, the one we were just at.”

"Slipped off the balcony?" Lexi asked disbelievingly. "I must've been a very clumsy young assassin..." she commented, knowing Kyle wasn't telling her everything, especially about Zach.

Krissy:

I got down to the bottom level and went down the rather quiet hall toward the parking lot. I yawned again and closed my eyes for a second. I was snatched sideways and a damp cloth was pressed over my open mouth. I clamped my mouth shut and held my breath even as the dizzying fumes made my mind sluggish. My body went on instinct and thrash and kicked against whoever had me. I broke free and spun around to see the guy who had kidnapped Ebony, Will, his sister, and me earlier. I gasped for fresh air as my hand flew to my knife but fell empty as I remembered I was on my way to get one. I twirled around as fast as I could and pushed through the first door in front of me which happened to be the stairs. I flew up the first set in seconds. I heard something hitting the floor at the bottom and the next second I was half deaf and the floor was falling out from under me.


Kyle:

“Haven't you always been?” I said teasingly and kissed her quickly. The floor shook and I heard an explosion from several floors down. My first thought was wondering what Krissy had done and the next was wondering if Krissy was hurt. “Hell.” I said darkly as I let go of Lexi to run down the hall past frazzled looking nurses.

Krissy:

I groaned and sucked in another breath before coughing out dust. My body hurt from falling on ripped up concrete but at least I hadn't been crushed... mostly. I sat up on my elbows as I looked down at myself, still slightly in a confused daze. I saw a shape in the dust come toward me and I screamed at myself to run but my leg was trapped. “We have to get you out of here now! He is going to come back to see if you were taken out and when he finds you, you'll be dead.” An unfamiliar voice said urgently. A guy my age or slightly younger knelt down beside me. I was confused but didn't say anything. I jerked at my leg again and gasped in pain. “Let me.” With effort he shifted the concrete block off my leg which was surely broken and felt like it. “Put your arm around me, I'll help you up.” He said putting his arm around me. I did as he said having no other choice and sucked in another breath from pain ans he helped me up. “Who are you?” I asked breathlessly. “Seth. We need to get you away from here then I'll tell you anything.” He said. The trip to his car was excruciatingly painful but thankfully quick. I noted that he was a fairly bad driver as he sped away from the hospital shortly before I passed out in the seat next to him.

((Why do I get the feeling that Seth is going to be competion for Michael?))

Michael:

I felt the explosion shake the floor and when Kyle ran off I did as well, keeping pace with him. Something felt wrong about all of this...please let Krissy be ok...

((Because that would be fairly likely with most other people. But I promise that's not what I have planed for him, and I do have a plan. Besides that wouldn't work with Krissy. Both Krissy and Kyle are to loyal for that.))

Kyle:

I got down to the bottom floor quickly and rushed to where the explosion had come from. People were already swarming the area and security guards were keeping them away. I pushed past them ignoring their demands that I get back. I expected to see my sisters body mangled and draped in a sheet. There was no sign of her that I saw, no sign of any bodies. I glanced down and my blood went cold. My keys were laying on the ground.

Krissy:

My eyes fluttered open when I felt to car come to a stop. I didn't know how long I had been out but it couldn't have been much time at all because the sky still looked the same. I looked over at the guy and watched him. “Why did you take me away?” I asked suspiciously. I felt far to vulnerable at the moment. I was injured, exhausted, and had no weapon, plus I had no idea where I was. I looked out the window seeing just trees as he said, “I told you, I'm Seth. That was my brother back there.” He said and I snapped my attention back to him, my whole body jerking. I made a controlled but pained noise as the jolt traveled to my leg but felt for the door handle anyway. “Wait! Stop! I promise I had nothing to do with that. I don't agree with what he does. I am only trying to help, please don't run away. I am not kidnapping you. We aren't far from the hospital, I just had to get you out of there. Jeff, my brother, is going to be looking for you. He hates you. Please trust me, I'll take you anywhere you want besides the hospital.” He explained quickly and I calmed down a little. I wanted to trust him, he had done nothing to make me distrust him and he seemed nice, really nice, the kind of nice that Jack did. I nodded slowly. “Do you have I knife? I'll feel much more trusting if I have a knife.” He nodded eagerly and handed me a pocket knife, it wasn't much but it was better than nothing. I smiled despite myself and was greeted by a bright smile from him.

I heard and felt the explosion. I jump to my feet and look at Ebony and Taylor "you two stay here." I look at Lexi. "I would like for you to stay here but i know you so i dont expect it. Here." I hand her a gun and hand a gun to michael since i didnt know if he had one or not. I book it out of the room pushing past people. I catch up to where Kyle was "Holy shit." i look around. "What the hell? Did you see anything?" I look back at the crowd of people to see if anything was coming our way "Wheres... Krissy?"

Lexi came up behing Kyle and looked down at the staircase that had practically fallen in on itself. She frowned, climbing down a bit and inspecting a piece of concrete. "This hadn't fallen on its side like this. Someone moved it." She looked up, meeting both Will and Kyle's eyes. "Krissy is hurt and on the move. We need to find her." Without another word, Lexi climbed down the rest of the rubble and slipped through a small hole in the wall that led out into the parking lot. She walked over to Kyle's car, half-expecting to have to hotwire it but she knew that he wouldn't be far behing her.

Kyle:

I was by my car within seconds of Lexi reaching it. "She wouldn't have left on her own. Some one has her. If some one has her that doesn't mean she is still alive, Lexi." I said warning her for the worst and I slid into the car and started it.
