Perfect Assassins

Krissy:

I leaned against him as I listened, absently tracing patterns over his chest.

Kyle:

"Lexi- $*&#!" I muttered scooting over and sneaking out the door after her. I grabbed a loop of her jeans and crouched next to her keeping my eyes on the man. "What do you think you're doing?" I hissed.

Michael:

When I finished speaking I just held her close to me, closing my eyes. After a while I asked her softly. "What do you want to do?"

"Watching him. He's looking for something or someone," Lexi breathed to Kyle. "But I don't see anyone else in this parking lot but us..."

Kyle:

I stared blankly at her then shook my head glancing back at the man. "I can't possibly think of anything he'd be looking for. I mean, it isn't like any one would want us dead." I said sarcastically not taking my hand off her. "What do you think? Shoot him?"

Krissy:

"Mm." I mumbled pulling away slightly so I could look up at him. "I don't know. I'm worried about where Kyle and Lexi went. Shouldn't they be back by now?" I asked biting my lip a little.

"I don't know. He's coming this way. What should we do?" Lexi asked in a whisper. She obviously hadn't thought anything through.

Kyle:

"Lexi, baby, just stay hidden." I said in a whisper as I crept around her. "If some thing happens shoot to stop not to kill, got that?" I glanced back at her. "I want to know what this guy wants." I moved around the back of a couple cars until I could get behind the guy.

Michael:

"I'm more worried that Lexi attacked your brother than anything else. Its been rather weird not seeing them in each others arms. More than likely they are stopped someplace quiet making out." I said cheerfully.

Lexi groaned softly as Kyle disappeared. They were both screwed if his plan didn't work.

The man continued approaching Lexi's hiding spot, his gun at the ready. He was coming closer and closer. His eyes landed on Lexi and his gun came up-

Kyle:

I stepped out, shot through his shoulder, and twisted the wounded arm behind his back. "Excuse me, that's my girlfriend you were aiming at." I hissed yanking him back.

Krissy:

I smiled then laughed. "You know, I'll bet you're right." I said rolling my eyes and shaking my head slightly while still smiling.

Michael:

"They make a good couple. Although I'm not sure who is more stubborn." I said smiling and winking at Krissy.

Krissy:

"Dear God," I said in exasperation. "There are no two more stubborn people than Lexi and Kyle. I, who has lived with them both for years, don't even know which one is more so."

Michael:

I laughed softly grinning at her. "I haven't known them that long but I can't even decide who would win in a fight between the two. Kyle is stronger, but Lexi is craftier."

Krissy:

I thought about it for a moment. "If it's serious neither of them really ever win. They just get cold both mad at the other. So I guess you could say they're equally stubborn. Unless it's trivial, then Lexi usually wins cause Kyle caves." I hugged him and closed my eyes for a moment. "We never fight, you know, maybe its a sign." I looked up and smiled at him.

Michael:

I smiled back at her. "Maybe, but I'm afraid we can't get married until those two love birds finally do. Its been a looooong time since they have been engaged right?"

Krissy:

My heart may have stopped when he said that. I dropped my gaze barely hearing what he said about Lexi and Kyle. "Um, yeah, I guess." I mumbled.

Michael:

I looked at her in concern. "Are you alright?" I asked her uncertainly.

Krissy:

“Mmhmm.” I said automatically but wouldn’t look up at him.

I walk back inside and into my room, i check my phone, no messages. I shrugged that off and set it down.

The man cried out in pain, struggling to get out of Kyle's grasp. He kicked him in the soft spot and pulled out of his reach, panting. "What's your problem, kid?!"

Lexi stood up, frowning. She recognized that voice. "Shawn?"

The man turned and stared at Lexi. "What? How do you know my name?"

"It-...it's me, Lexi. From... From the-"

"Slave Market?" Shawn stopped. "You've grown up."

"I could say the same thing about you." Lexi admitted, smiling softly.

Michael:

I bit my lip unsure if I had messed up in some way.

Kyle:

I glared at the guy then turned my gaze to Lexi. "Slave Market?" I asked, eyes narrowed, holding my gun loosely aimed at the guy she called Shawn.

Krissy:

I pulled back and grabbed his hand still looking in the direction of the wall the side. "Let's get dressed before Kyle and Lexi get back." I said mildly then asked. "Can you get my crutches for me?"

Michael:

I nodded and giving her hand a squeeze I headed off to get her, her crutches.

"Y-yeah... Don't you remember? I was a slave before we met..." Lexi more or less mumbled just loud enough for Kyle to hear. Her cheeks flushed in embarrasement at it. "And when I went missing for a month after we met. That's where I met Shawn."

"You were just a kid then. So...girlfriend, huh?" Shawn asked Kyle, raising an eyebrow at him. "You better be taking good care of her. Better than her last 'boyfriend' anyway."

Kyle:

I took a few short steps to be next to Lexi and wrapped an arm around her shoulders protectively, careful not to hurt her wound. "Her last boyfriend? Meaning Zach?" I asked coldly.

Krissy:

I leaned against the counter while I waited. I wanted to take a shower but that would be difficult with the cast... I looked down at my leg disdainfully. I could get Lexi to help me whenever she and my brother got back or...

Seth:

I blinked awake when I felt something hit the table. My eyes, blurry with sleep, found Krissy with her leg propped up on the table. On closer inspection I saw her seeming to wrap some thing that looked rather like plastic saran wrap around her cast.
