Perfect Assassins

Ebony:

I shifted my feet a bit. "Its alright, its not like I was changing or anything. And you should answer that, before you get in trouble." I said taking a step closer.

Seth:

I looked down at my phone and grimaced. "Oh I am already in trouble." I said glumly.

Ebony:

I frowned and tilted my head. "What? Why?" I asked concerned.

Seth:

"Well, my brother isn't happy with me. Neither are any of the guys. All rather angry actually." I said slowly glancing up at her then away.

Ebony:

"Oh...I'm sorry...thats my fault..." I said looking down shyly.

Seth:

"No it isn't." I said quickly. "It's mine, for getting in the middle of things. But if I hadn't gotten in the middle of things I'd hate to think what would have happened to you, and Krissy..."

Ebony:

I smiled playfully at him. "From the way your talking, it sounds like you like one of us." I said teasing gently, hoping to get a smile.

Seth:

I looked back at her then and smiled seeing her own. "I've always been like this. I can't stop myself from helping. My brother sent me and my sister off to boarding school because of it."

Ebony:

"I like it. Its really sweet of you to do that." I said earnestly.

Seth:

I continued to smile but dropped my gaze down again. "Well I'm happy to do it." I said slightly bashful.

Ebony:

I looked away shyly as well. "Thank you...for...saving my life..." I said softly.

Seth:

"You're very welcome, Ebony." I forced myself to look back at her and was thankfull when I saw she wasn't looking at me.

Ebony:

I clasped my hands together in front of me, feeling strangely shy at the moment. I didn't know why though...

Seth:

I smiled watching her. "So..." I said a little awkwardly. "How long have you known Krissy?"

Ebony:

I shrugged. "Not all that long actually. I have known her boyfriend Michael for most of my life though. They make a really good couple."

Seth:

"They look it. You know her brother was urging me to get with her, I thought she had a boyfriend though." I said.

Ebony:

I rolled my eyes. "No the only two people here that are single are me and Will." I said my voice growing a bit soft as I said it.

Seth:

"Right because Kyle and Lexi are together. Though you seemed to be with Will." I said watching her my smile faltering slightly.

Ebony:

I shook my head. "No...we're not together. He really hasn't shown any interest in me from what I can tell, and a lot more interest in Lexi. So I'm still single and so is Will." I said shifting uncomfortably.

Seth:

I looked at the floor again. "Oh, But you'd like to be with him, wouldn't you?" I asked shuffling my feet awkwardly.

Ebony:

"I like him...but he hasn't captured my heart yet." I said with an absent shrug looking up at him.

Seth:

I let out a soft breath having not realized I had been holding it. "And, That other guy, Jake? The one who was fighting with Kyle and Will? That is Lexis and possibly your brother?" I asked wanting to keep her talking.

Ebony:

"Supposedly yeah. I dont think we are related at all, but they are both rather insistent about it." I said watching him curiously.

Seth:

I smiled meeting her gaze. "Well you sure do have the same eyes as Lexi." I said softly.

Ebony:

I blinked. "I didn't know her eyes were light blue." I said not understanding him.
