Perfect Assassins

Michael:

"Have you ever thought of a life outside of being an assassin?" I asked her softly.

Krissy:

I looked up at him then. “No. Nothing beyond brief speculation. I don’t think I am ever not going to be an assassin. It makes up too much of who I am for me not to be. I can’t just quit.” A shiver rolled down my spine as I thought about it. The thought of not being an assassin was right up there on the Fear List next to falling and getting married.

Michael:

I stayed silent thinking about what she had said. I supposed it was a valid reason but I still wanted to marry her. I just didn't understand why she was so opposed to it.

Krissy:

“Do you think about not being an assassin?” I asked after a moment, looking up at him.

Michael:

I hesitated a moment before nodding. "Remember my whole existence has been nothing but killing people until I met you."

Krissy:

“And you think you would be able to let it all go?” I asked. “Live a normal life? You would actually want that?”

Michael:

"I do. I'm tired of this life. I know ways to remove my memory of all of my skills and abilities so that I would be a regular person." I said my voice quiet.

Krissy:

I blinked in surprise. It took me a moment to think in through before saying, "That's a lot to lose, Michael."

Michael:

I shrugged and kept quiet. I wanted out of this life. But to do that I would have to die.

Shawn placed the cake box on the counter and left it, smiling.

Krissy:

I sat up and looked down at him. I frowned a little and touched the side of his face gently. I wanted to ask him what was wrong, maybe I had upset him with the way I had been acting? I bit my lip anxiously and looked back at the corner.

Kyle:

I watched him. “Follow me.” I said flatly heading back out of the kitchen.

Michael:

I turned my head and kissed her hand before gently stroking her cheek softly.

Krissy:

I looked back at him and smiled softly. I laid down, my head resting on his chest again. "If you were to stop being an assassin, what would you do?" I asked lightly.

Michael:

I shrugged. "I don't know really." I said softly.

Krissy:

"Hmm. If I weren't an assassin I would probably be a doctor or maybe an EMT." I said thoughtfully.

Michael:

I smiled. "I could see you doing that actually. You have patched us all up enough."

Krissy:

I smiled too. "Yeah. It isn't much different from what I do now if you think about it. Taking lives or saving them. Causing the damage or fixing it. I might be able to live that way."

Michael:

I nodded and then leaned down and kissed the top of her head.

Krissy:

I shifted onto my stomach then leaned forward to kiss him on the lips, smiling as I did so.

Michael:

I kissed her back happily, a bit surprised though.

Seth:

I pushed through a door looking down at my phone. I glanced up to make sure I was alone and my eyes fell on Ebony.

Krissy:

I moved up a bit more, not taking my lips from his, and put my hand lightly on his shoulder.

Ebony:

I was standing in a shaft of sunlight, just enjoying the warmth on my skin.

Michael:

I put a hand on her cheek, the other one rested on the small of her back.

Seth:

I watched her for a moment, unmoving, wondering if she hadn't noticed me coming in. My phone went off again bringing my attention back to it.

Ebony:

The sound of a phone going off brought my attention that someone else was in the room. I turned around and smiled at Seth. "Hey." I said softly.

Seth:

I smile shyly back at her. "Sorry, I didn't mean to walk in on you, I should have knocked-" I said my phone going off a third time.
