Perfect Assassins

"I think so. Come on, Shawn! We gotta get back to the house! Aalen will get you a change of clothes and a room to stay in when we get there," Lexi said, grinning.

Kyle:

I glanced at Shawn then went around and slid into my car waiting for them.

Michael:

I nodded and kissed her cheek gently. "I really do love you." I whispered giving her a small smile.

Shawn helped Lexi carry the cake to the car and once Lexi sat down, he settled it gently on her lap before hopping into the backseat.

Kyle:

I didn't like this guy at all. And it wasn't just that he had been assigned to kill my little sister; I didn't like the way he was acting, it was incredibly irritating. I started the car and backed out grinding my teeth without realizing.

Krissy:

"I love you too Michael." I said softly smiling up at him. I touched his cheek lightly then trailed that hand down before grabbing hold of my crutches.

Lexi reached out and gently touched Kyle's hand as if to tell him to calm down. She trusted Shawn and knew he wouldn't try to kill Krissy. She just needed to convince Kyle.

Kyle:

I turned my hand palm up to hold hers and glanced in the mirror at Shawn.

Michael:

I smiled at her, and gave her a quick kiss before stepping back so that she could walk with the help of the crutches.

Shawn felt eyes on him and looked up, meeting Kyle's in the mirror. He seemed passive as if he couldn't care less if Kyle was going to shoot him or help him.

Kyle:

I gritted my teeth again focusing on the road trying to judge how upset Lexi would be if I pulled over right now and dumped him.

Krissy:

I went back to my room to get a change of clothes then to the bathroom. I started the water letting it warm up before I undressed and got in.

Michael:

I had followed her, but I laid down on her bed instead of following to the bathroom. I closed my eyes and stretched out.

Lexi shot Kyle a look that said, "Ignore him for now."

Krissy

After I got out I dried off, took the plastic off my cast, changed into a light long sleeved green top and jeans, and wrapped the towel around my wet hair. Once I was back in my room I dropped the crutches and climbed onto the bed with Michael.

Kyle

I sighd and focused on the road once again trying to ignore him though my jaw was still tight.

The house appeared up ahead and Lexi nodded toward it. "I'll sneak in with the decorations and stuff them in my closet, okay?"

Kyle:

"Alright," I said pulling up along the side of the road so Krissy wouldn't hear the car. "Shawn, you can come with me."

Shawn nodded and got out carefully, taking the cake from Lexi.

Lexi nodded and grabbed the decorations, sneaking in through the side door.

Kyle:

I went though the front door quietly and took Shawn to the kitchen. "You can leave that here." I told him coolly nodding to the cake box.

Michael:

I put an arm around Krissy automatically, my eyes staying closed.

Krissy:

I smiled laying my head on his chest and curling up a little. I looked up at him for a moment then at the corner of the room. "What you said earlier? About getting married? You wouldn't really want to? I mean, what's the point really?" I muttered getting continually more quiet as I went.

Michael:

I blinked my eyes open and looked down at her. "I do want to. I love you Krissy, and I don't want to share you with anyone else. I want to be all yours as well." I said my voice soft and quiet. "You have helped me feel more...human. I don't want to lose myself ever again."

Krissy:

I continued to stare at the corner. "That doesn't necessarily, um, mean we need to get, ah, married though... I mean," I hesitated uncomfortably. I was used to talking about my feeling with him more than any one now but this was on a very different level. "Well, I'm never ever going to be with any one else. I don't think I ever would have been with any one if I hadn't met you. You would never have to worry about, um, sharing, you know."

Michael:

I smiled a bit and asked her softly, stroking her cheek gently. "Are you scared of getting married?"

Krissy:

I wrapped my arms around my uninjured knee absently and chewed on my lip. “No.” I said resolutely. “I just don’t see the point, really. I don’t-” I frowned at the corner and let out a softly breath. “I don’t see why we would need to.”
