All Hope Is Gone (open)

Ellie:
I didn't respond or look at him, just watched the burnt grass. I placed my hand over it and removed it. There was green grass in the shape of my hand. I sighed.

i pull my knees up and rest my head on them

Ellie:
"I don't want to stay because of what that goddamn angel said. Because i know what he meant," I whispered.

"what did he mean"

Ellie:
My cheeks turned pink and i set my jaw. I hated it when i did that.
"I have to have your kid. The kid will end the war," I whispered.

that cant be what he ment" i frown

Ellie:
"What else could he have meant? I read about this, but i didn't know that it would be us. It was told to me while i lived in Heaven. It sounded like a children's story so i didn't pay much attention to it," I whispered.

i nod and sigh

Ellie:
"I'm not going to, simply because of how the story ended," I whispered.

how did it end?"

Ellie:
"You died," i whispered and lightly lay a hand on his shoulder.

how"i frown a little looking at her

Ellie:
"Your kid killed you. For power," I whispered then dropped my hand.

"Whywould my kid kill me." i frown more

Ellie:
"I don't know. Thats the actual reason i wanted to leave... because if i were to stay.... i'd become your lover and.... then the kid would kill you...." I whispered.

no..i dont believe that part of it."

Ellie:
"Believe what you want, you always do," I whispered and pressed my face to my hands.

i wrapo my arm around her and frown

Ellie:
"You know why i can't stay, don't you," I whispered and pressed my forehead to his neck, but otherwise stayed in the same position.

no." i sigh rubbing her arm softly

Ellie:
"Because of what you're doing now. I'm not saying that i hate you, I'm saying that if i stay, I'll end up having sex with you. Then i'll get pregnant - the thought still creeps me out - and the kid will kill you," I whispered and closed my eyes.

you dont have to do anything you dont want to." i sigh shaking my head

Ellie:
I rolled my eyes.
"You don't get it," I sighed and pressed my face to my hands again.

i guess not" i sigh

Ellie:
"I find it... funny, i guess, that i waited for centuries so i could be with you, then when i see you i'm completely hostile towards you. Then when you actually remember, we can't actually be together anyway. I guess the odds are always against us," I laughed a bit then closed my eyes.
