The Creation of the Perfect Assassins

Lexi woke up, still wrapped in the towel and in her wet and stiff clothing. She got up, walking into the bathroom, showered and changed into an extra pair of clothes she had in her backpack. They were blood stained but they were better than the clothes she had on earlier.

Kyle:

I heard Lexi get up but didn't move from my chair by the window. I hadn't slept one minute through out the night.

Lexi came out of the bathroom, scratching the back of her head as she saw Kyle awake. "I...I'm sorry..." she mumbled.

Kyle:

I sighed. "It's okay. I can sympathize with the desire to be through with it all."

"But you have someone to keep you here," Lexi replied, sighing herself. She looked over at Krissy. "Someone who looks up to you to protect her."

Kyle:

"Yeah. And I'll do every thing in my power to stay here to protect her. But even if I didn't have to take care of her, I would still fight." I said softly so as not to wake Krissy up.

Lexi nodded, sitting on the floor. "What now?"

Kyle:

"Let her sleep for a little while longer then we'll get back on the road." I said.

Lexi nodded again and leaned against the wall, closing her eyes as she rested, waiting for Krissy to wake up.

Krissy:

I woke up without moving and listened to the things around me before sitting up. I yawned and stretched.

Lexi's eyes opened and she looked up at Krissy, managing a small smile.

Krissy:

"Hey." I said softly getting out of bed. I glanced at Kyle, he was sitting by the balcony looking out through the glass.

"Hey. How's your ankle?" Lexi asked worriedly, watching Krissy carefully.

Krissy:

I looked at my ankle and flopped down to the floor to examine it. It was a bit puffy. "I don't really feel it...." I said poking it a little. "It's alright though."

"We should put some ice on it and elevate it above your heart for a while," Lexi suggested. "We can do that in the car, if you lay down in the backseat."

Krissy:

I continued to look at it then shook my head as I got to my feet. "It's fine. I'm going to change." I said as I went into the bathroom.

Kyle:

"She likes to suffer through things, she thinks it makes her stronger." I told Lexi without looking away from the window.

"That's not how you should treat in injury. It won't get any better if she forces herself to use it," Lexi sighed, rolling her eyes.

Kyle:

"Yeah, she'll be fine though. She is tough, whether it's from suffering or not." I said and smiled softly.

Lexi nodded, pulling on her sneakers. "Well, let's get going, shall we? I'll make her rest in the car."

Kyle:

I laughed. "You try and make Krissy do some thing she doesn't want to do, yeah, I would love to see that. No one had ever managed that, if she's set on it, she wont be swayed." I said getting up and slinging my back pack over my shoulder. I went to the bathroom door. "Krissy? You done?" She opened the door wearing long sleeves, pants and boots. I could understand this when it was night and cold out but now it was warm. I sighed.

Lexi smirked, shaking her head as she stood. "Let's bounce," she said, grinning from ear to ear.

Krissy:

"Bounce?" I asked tilting my head to the side. I glanced up at Kyle then my lips quirked in an odd confused smile.

"My mom used to say it whenever she was trying to be cool," Lexi shrugged, a small smile playing on her lips.

Kyle:

I chuckled. "Alright, well let's bounce." I said and put a hand on each or their shoulders to move them along into the hall way.
