The Creation of the Perfect Assassins

Lexi nodded, looking up into Kyle's eyes and managing a small smile and another nod.

Kyle:

"Alright come here." I said as I pulled her into a hug.  

Lexi hugged Kyle back, resting her head on his shoulder. She smiled softly.

Kyle:

I smiled lightly then let her go abruptly when I heard the doorbell ring. “Come on it’s probably James.” I said.

Krissy:

I blinked in surprise and stared at the door. I moved to a window cautiously and peaked out. A tall woman with bronze hair stood waiting at the door.

I looked over at who was at the door with Krissy. "Anyone else know who that is?"

Lexi smiled, nodding as she hopped off the counter. "Come on! It'll be s nice to see him again!"

Kyle:

I walked into the living room to See Krissy and James at the window. “What’s going on?” I asked frowning. “There’s a lady out there..” Krissy mumbled. I went to the door and looked through the peep hole. “Oh great.” I muttered and swung the door wide. “Hello Kyle.” The woman said with a soft smile.

Lexi hid behind Kyle and peered around his arm at the woman. "Who's that?" she asked in a whisper, her lips barely moving. A knife was in her hands again even though the woman couldn't see it.

Krissy:

I watched my brother and the Woman apprehensively with my hand on my hip where I could easily grab my knife. “Well aren’t you going to introduce me?” She asked glancing at James and Lexi, her eyes skittered over me. Kyle took a deep breath and looked down. “This is Marie.” He said. I blinked at her. “Aunt Marie?” I asked incuriously.

"Who is Aunt Marie?" Lexi asked in a whisper, a death grip on Kyle's upper arm and on her knife in the other hand, ready to plunge into Aunt Marie's face if need be.

((I'm not sure. This was kind of made as a prequel to a roleplay that was made like...what was it? Like four years ago, Kayla? So, lemme talk to Kayla and Ethan first and i'll get back to you.))

((like three years ago actually.  And I say let 'em join.  Stir thing up a bit.  I like RPs with lots of people.  Lexi, you know what?  I'm the reason we still have PA.  I take full credit!  Sure you're the creator and all but, I'm the reason it's still going ;P))

Kyle:  

I grabbed Lexi's hand and detached it from my arm.  "Yeah.  On my dad's side.  Marie, why don't you sit down?" I asked politely but my tone was cold.

Lexi glared at Marie, the knife in her hand now seeable.

Kyle:

Marie moved to sit down on the couch. “Put it away, child, I’m not going to hurt any of you. I just wanted to talk with my nephew.” She said disdainfully.

"I don't know you. Therefore, I keep my knife," Lexi replied, her knuckles white.

Kyle:

Marie looked offended but focused on me. “Sit down.” She said, as if I had come to see her. I flopped down in an armchair across from her. “I only just heard about what happened to my brother. If I had known sooner I would have made an effort to find you kids. I apologize for that.” I shrugged. “Well, Kyle, I came here to take care of you. I don’t think it’s right for a sixteen year old to be taking care of a child when they are a child themselves.” I crossed my arms, giving her an icy look. “I had this discussion with Kris as well. My uncle? You remember him. And I told him the same thing I’m about to tell you. You. Are. Not. Getting. My. Sister.”

"Only another reason for me to keep my knife out," Lexi hissed, stepping between Marie and where Krissy was. She was not keen on letting some old lady that she didn't know take away her best and only friend in the entire world.

Kyle:

Frustration flashed across Marie’s eyes but she covered it quickly. “I don’t want to take her from you. Kyle, I would like you both to come with me. I want to help you. Your friends are welcome too of course.” I stood up. “I’m sorry. But we don’t need your help. Please leave.” “You don’t understand. I could have you both trained. You would be the best there is.” She said quickly, her green eyes seemed bright, like Krissy’s. “Ah, so that’s what you want. You don’t want to take care of us, you want to use us as weapons. Marie, leave now, please. The answer is no.” She stood up as well but she didn’t make any move to leave. “How are you supposed to raise her? She is thirteen, she doesn’t need a brother, she needs a mom. You’re so young Kyle, you could do so much better than playing parent.”

"What part of 'leave' don't you understand?" Lexi growled, more than a little frustrated by this woman. "He's ALREADY the best there is. He doesn't need any help from you!"

Kyle:

I grabbed Lexi’s wrist. “Hush.” I hissed. Marie gave Lexi a cold look the made her way to the door. She paused with her hand on the door knob and turned back. “I don’t suppose you want to come with me Krissy?” She asked. Krissy sucked in a breath and darted behind me. “I’m staying with my brother.” She said firmly.

Lexi pulled her wrist out of Kyle's grasp and glared at Marie, waiting for her to leave. She really, really, REALLY wanted to throw the knife at the woman.
