Personality: Charlotte cannot stand lying, and feels that the truth is always better. She has dipped into the Dark Arts when she was younger, however nothing serious ever came from it. She hates that she is different to her family, however loves life at Hogwarts and only ever considered giving it up after the death of her mother and brother.

Personality: Bailey is a fun-loving, energetic, social girl. She loves helping other people, and does not mind muggleborns, but true to her pure-blood family's beliefs, she does not believe in muggles and purebloods mingling. She hates to study, and much prefers to spend her time out enjoying herself.

Charlotte pulled at her long blonde hair as she moved through the halls of the third floor. She was heading up to the Gryffindor common rooms, and wondered why the walk seemed to be taking forever. If she wasn't so frustrated with herself for failing her practice test for Charms, then she would have been outside in the sun. It was a waste of a rare bright day, but she felt that she needed to study. Maybe after a few pages of notes and reading a couple of chapters, she would allow herself some time in the sun. She knew that to get a good grade in her NEWTs, she needed to study hard.

In an attempt to prevent herself from giving up and just going outside, she closed her eyes to the sun as she passed a window. She hadn't, however, noticed the person that was coming toward her from the opposite direction. Eyes closed, and book bag in hand, Charlotte let out a quiet cry as she walked straight into another person. Opening her eyes one at a time, she hoped that they were not a professor. "I'm so sorry. I.. I didn't see you."

Walking aimlessly through the corridors, Bailey tried to keep her attention on the admittedly useless facts from her Transfiguration text book she had just finished reading over. She never understood why she would need to turn a turnip into a rat, or a frog into parchment. It made no sense. She was keen to move on to the more exciting things, like becoming an animagus or something. Drifting into thought of what animal she would become if she ever succeeded, she paused to look out a nearby window. The sun had just come out, and it screamed at her to go outside. She turned, and was about to continue her way down to the grounds, when someone ran into her.

Looking at the blonde girl currently apologising to her, she nodded with a smile. "You're fine," She replied. The day looked too bright to be all sour like the typical Slytherins that occupied her common room. Bailey never had been like that, she always took the cheerful way of life. Her Slytherin side came through in her determination and use of sly approaches to getting her own way. "Just try to be a little more careful next time," She added, though not rudely.

Charlotte's mouth fell open when her eyes and ears offered contrasting evidence as to who the person whom she had bumped in to was. Her eyes said Slytherin, due to the snake crest on her breast pocket and the green and silver striped tie. The surprisingly kind and cheerful voice did not match her house at all. Checking that her lower teeth were still in contact with her top ones, she smiled brightly and sighed. She wondered why so many people assumed all Slytherins were mean and unfair. Humming quietly in the back of her throat, she frowned because she was one of them. "Of course."

She leaned down to pick up the bag that had slipped from her shoulder when she bumped into the girl. As she moved to straighten up, her eyes caught the bright sun outside and sighed in defeat. "I will be sure to be more careful next time," she said quietly. Biting her lip, she looked between her bag with her books within and the grounds. Rolling her eyes, she turned to the girl and said with a smile, "Would you like to join me outside? It's such a beautiful day." Pausing, she held her hand out and added, "I'm Charlotte, by the way. You can call me Charlie, if you want."
