Perfect Assassins

"Act casual," Lexi agreed, as she skated with him, holding his hand tightly. The skates they wore would make good weapons, just in case.

Kyle:

I held her hand around the rink and meshed with a group of highschoolers as they exited the opposite side. “I’ll come back for my car later.” I said as I yanked my skates off. I checked to make sure the guy hadn’t seen us leave the ice then looked back at Lexi. “We’ll go out the back and find a car there.”

I shook my head when i couldnt see anymore. "its useless for them to keep running, i could find them anyway. i know where the others are and there bound to go back to them eventually." I mutter to myself before starting to go back to my car. Plus i put a tracker underneath the car, with how dark it is no one would be able to see it by now

Lexi nodded as she pulled off her skates. "We should head back and let the others know that we had a tail." she agreed.

Kyle:

“Yeah, I know.” I said as I put my hand on her back leading her to the exit.

Lexi followed him outside into the evening. She searched for a good car that they could take.

Kyle:

“Over here.” I said as I made my way to a sleek black car. I got down and searched for a key under the back wheel and found just what I was looking for. Unfortunately it only unlocked the car, I had to hot wire it to get it to start.

Lexi climbed in and buckled her seatbelt, keeping an eye out for anything out of the ordinary...

Kyle:

I drove out of the parking lot and turned in the opposite direction of the cabin. Pulling out my phone, I called Krissy and told her what happened, that we thought someone was tailing us. “She’s going to meet us tomorrow, and bring my car.” I told Lexi after I hung up.

"Good," Lexi nodded, sighing with relief. "I'd feel much safer if all of us were together, you know?"

Will
James and I were playing cards silently. I looked up when Krissy hung up the phone. "who was it"

Kyle:

“I’d feel better if Krissy was with us, Yeah.” I clarified. I could take or leave the others.

Krissy:

“Kyle” I said with a soft sigh. “They think someone is following them. And they want us to leave here and meet them.”

"Who would be tailing them?"

Lexi made a fact at Kyle but didn't say anything. She didn't want to have to same arguement again about the others. He knew her opinion on the subject and she knew his.

Krissy:

Shrugging I slid off my seat in the arm chair. “I dunno. Anyone. Not many people like us these days. We’ve been too loud. I discovered that when I was searching for info to help Lexi remember. There is a lot on us out there. Everybody knows about us.” I leaned over to peak at James’s cards. “Nice hand.”

Kyle:

I flipped the radio on after a moment of silence. “There is a little town south of here I thought we’d go to.” I said over the music.

"Okay," Lexi nodded, rubbing her wrists without even seeming to notice she was doing.

Kyle:

I looked side ways at her when she didn't ask why I knew the town.  "What are you doing?" I asked seeing her rubbing her wrists. 

"Hm? What?" Lexi asked before looking down at her wrists. She clenched her fists, noting that her wrists were red. "Nothing. Um...how do you know the town?" she asked.

Kyle:

“Why were you doing that?” I pushed, glancing at her repeatedly as I drove.

"How do you know the town?" Lexi repeated, pushing back. She placed her hands in her lap and moved her legs so he couldn't see her wrists.

Will
i sighed "fold." I hear james laugh.

"I had a terrible hand, actually. Thats how We made some money back when we all first met. little skirmishes." he shrugged and got up "lets pack and get ready i guess"

Kyle:

“Lexi,” I said in exasperation and reached to grab her arm so I could see her wrists.

Krissy:

I smiled up at him thinking back then gave Will an apologetic look. “I have a load of laundry going, we can’t leave just yet. Weird having to wash clothes, always before they got too ripped or bloody or dirty..”

"Damn we still have clothes that dont have bullet holes in them? im shocked" i laughed slightly and rubbed my eyes. "Ever get tired of running?"

"Kyle," Lexi shot back but even when she struggled, his grip was too strong for her to break. He could see how red her wrists are. She had been rubbing them raw.

Krissy:

I shrugged. “I’ve been doing it for more than half my life, it’s just normal now. Sure I’d like to take a break.. but that’s not really an option when so many people hate us.” I said.

Kyle:

“Why are you doing that? You’re going to rub the skin right off!” disapprovement was thick in my tone.
