Perfect Assassins

Lexi snuggled next to Kyle, resting her head on his chest.

Kyle:

After I got off the phone I put my other arm around her as well and held her close. I stared up at the sky, the stars were so clear out here, it seemed like every one was visible. Once the food got here I put the top up on my car and lead Lexi back inside. I set the bags on the table. “I’ll go get Krissy. Could you pull out plates?” I asked Lexi. I hurried up and knocked on my sister’s bedroom. When she didn’t answer I opened the door slowly to find her already asleep curled up on top of the bed. I pulled the covers over her and went back down to the kitchen.

Lexi was getting out plates and forks and such. Turning when she heard a noise, ready to throw the fork but smiled, finding that it was Kyle. "Hey. Is she sleeping?" she asked, handing him a plate.

Kyle:

“Yeah, I didn’t want to wake her.” I said as I took the plate. “Thanks. I’m starved.” I kissed her cheek and sat at the table.

Lexi sat down next to Kyle and smiled, kissing his cheek back. "My pleasure."

Kyle:

I ate about half of what we had then stood up to stretch. “I’m going to bed.” I said lifting her pony tail to kiss the back of her neck.

Lexi's cheeks flushed slightly, thinking about the last time he had kissed her neck and where it had went. "Well, goodnight..." she whispered.

Kyle:

I chuckled softly at her blush. “Aren’t you coming to?” I asked at the doorway.

"Yeah, I'm coming," Lexi smiled, following him and taking his hand.

Kyle:

I smiled and pulled her upstairs with me. Once in our room, I changed into a white cotton shirt and pajama pants then crawled into bed waiting for her.

Lexi changed into her lacy nightgown and smiled at Kyle, crawling into bed with him.

I was outside of the house, sitting on the porch and looking around. I rubbed my eyes and leaned back against the wall. "Its to quiet around here."

((Time skip to morning.))

Kyle:

“Lexi!” My sister’s voice sliced through my peaceful unconscious mind. Groaning I opened my eyes then threw my arm over my face to block out the morning light. “Lexi!!!” Krissy shouted again from somewhere outside our room. The fact that she was calling for Lexi and not me made me think it wasn’t urgent, therefore I didn’t have to get up.

"WHAT?!" Lexi yelled, groaning as she tumbled out of bed. She managed to get to her feet and stumble to the door, rubbing her eyes. "Whatdya want?" she slurred sleepily.

Krissy:

“I need you.” I groaned, grabbing her wrist and pulling her to my room across the hall. “I need to talk to you. Oh God.” I let her go and closed the door. I turned to her with a stricken look. I didn’t even care that she was wearing a lacy, partially see-through nightgown. I covered my face with my hands and slid down the door.

"What's wrong?" Lexi asked, kneeling next to her friend, trying hard not to fall back asleep on her feet.

Krissy:

I sucked in a deep breath. “I think… Maybe… I-“ I broke off with a distraught moan, unable to get the words out. I ran my hands through my hair, gripping the strands tightly.

"What, Kris?" Lexi asked sleepily. "You gotta speak at least semi-coherently so I can understand you..."

Krissy:

I squeezed my eyes shut.  "I think I'm..."  I gulped in a breath of air, "pregnant..."

"Krissy...how the hell would you be...oh...Did you and Michael...?" Lexi asked, fully awake now, her eyes wide. "No way!"

Krissy:

I kicked her in the knee, as hard as I could from the ground with bare feet. “How the hell else would I be? Oh god, what am I going to do? This is the worst thing that could possibly happen. I never even thought I could, I was told I wouldn’t ever be able to.” I wrapped my arms around my knees miserably.

"What makes you think you're preggers, Kris?" Lexi asked, rolling with the blood and coming up, sitting next to her, leaning against the door with her.

Krissy:

“Well I’ve been exhausted a lot and I’m late and I just threw up in the bathroom but now I feel fine except for the overwhelming feeling of revulsion that this is even happening.” I said quickly then leaned over and rested my head on my knees.

"Well... let's get you a pregnancy test first to be sure. You could just be late and that made you throw up?" Lexi tried, knowing it sounded pathetic. "But we don't want to tell Kyle then have him kill Michael, only to find out you're sick or something."

Krissy:

“God no! You can’t tell anyone!” I said hastily. “If I am, I don’t want to have to explain things.” I sighed and got to my feet.
