Perfect Assassins

Krissy:

“Super great. I felt like my body was cleansed.” I replied shortly.

Lexi sighed, shaking her head. she was NOT in the mood to continue arguing. "Fine. Kill yourself." she grumbled under her breath.

Krissy:

"Thanks." I snapped back.  I didn't say a word to her over the next couple hours. 

James
i looked out the window at the mirror. "Same car has been following us for hours Will." i tell him He told me to tell Kris or Lexi just to fill them in. I nodded and gave one of them a calll

Lexi answered her phone, exasperated. "Yeah?"

car. 5 o clock. keep an eye on it."

Krissy:

I glanced at Lexi coolly wanting to ask who it was but refrained.

Lexi turned in her seat and checked her five o'clock. "I got an eye on it. Hopefully it's nothing but..."

Krissy:

I twisted around briefly to see what she was talking about. “The car?” I whispered. “Tell them to meet us in Boston, We’ll split up now to lose them.”

"Kris says to split up and meet in Boston. We're gonna lose this tail," Lexi repeated into the phone.

Krissy:

I floored it again pushing the car to its limit weaving between any traffic.

Floor it." i Tell will and he nodded, he floors it going off the interstate.

Lexi held onto her seat, just in case.

Krissy:

I checked to see if the car was still behind us then slowed down and exited pulling into the nearest gas station. “Uh-oh hear that?” I asked listening to a rattling. I parked the car and popped the hood. I waited for it to cool then tinkered with a few things. Kyle was going to kill me if I messed up his car, not that I cared all that much at the moment. He deserved it.

Lexi got out too, looking over her shoulder. "What's wrong with it?" she asked.

Krissy:

I shrugged went to fill the tank up again.  "Hopefully it'll be fine until Boston.  Then we'll ditch it and let Kyle find it." I said. 

"Sounds like a plan," Lexi agreed, getting back in the car.

Krissy:

I pulled out a water bottle and drained it.  I made a face at the empty feeling in my stomach but started the car anyway.

"Do you want me to drive?" Lexi asked again.

Krissy:

"I feel better while driving." I said with a small shake of my head.  "You can sleep though.  I'm not going to stop for the night."

"Its following us, Will. i thought you could drive well enough to lose them." I said and he sped up more.

"I can, i havnt found another rode to turn on yet."

Lexi was about to protest but knew it would only lead to another fight. "Yeah, okay," she mumbled, settling down.

Krissy:

I sighed softly relieved that she wasn’t going to tell me that I needed to sleep because of my ‘condition.’

Once Lexi was settled, she drifted off to sleep fairly easily. But it wasn't very restful. She kept moving around in her sleep, fists clenched, sweating a bit and making soft strangled noises in her sleep. Her nightmares got worse whenever she wasn't with Kyle.

Krissy:

I glanced at Lexi with a frown. I put music on low hoping it would help her rest a little better, and to help me stay focused on driving.
