Perfect Assassins

Krissy:

"Lets just go get Michael." I said, hugging myself once she let me go.

Lexi nodded, leading Krissy to the car and climbed in, turning on the vehicle.

Krissy:

"Do you want me to drive?" I asked standing next to the open door. "Ill get us there faster."

Lexi was quiet for a moment then nodded and got back out, walking over to the passanger side.

Krissy: 

"You know how careful Kyle usually is with his car?" I said then backed up and screeched the tires as as I got onto the highway. 

"Oh, Lord..." Lexi tried not to giggle, since she was supposed to be angry at Kyle. And...his car... "Floor it."

James and I were in my car, waiting for them to leave. i would follow

Krissy:

I pressed the pedal all the way down and sped past cars on the freeway weaving in and out.  It made me feel better.

Lexi watched the cars as they passed them in the fast lane.

Krissy:  

"I'm worried about Michael." I admitted after a while.  

"So am I. He sounded off on the phone," Lexi admitted as well.

Krissy:

I nodded.  "I hate being apart from everyone like this." I said quietly, slowing down to ninety five. 

"Believe me...I do too, Krissy. But there's nothign we can do about it right now..."

((night))

Krissy:

“I know.” I said with a sigh. I drove on without saying anything else. It was dark, and everything was blurring by from speed, it made it easier to think of gloominess of the whole situation. On top of everything I was starting to feel shaky from lack of eating anything. The last time I had an actual meal was the previous day, but I had thrown up anything left in my stomach this morning.

Lexi dug through her backpack, finding a couple of protein bars. "I know you don't want to eat but could you please eat this at least?" she asked Krissy, handing her one of the bars.

Krissy:

I sighed and shook my head. “I don’t want to throw up, I hate that.” I took the bar and put it in the cup holder. “Especially not while I am driving.”

"You HAVE to eat. If you DO decide to keep it, you're killing it with lack of nutrients. And you'll hvae to eat MORE in order to keep yourself healthy enough to survive, especially in our situation," Lexi replied, looking out the window.

Krissy:

“I am not going to. And even if I were, which won’t happen, one day of not eating is not going to do any harm.” I said shortly.

Michael

I washed my face and looked at my expression in the mirror. I looked haggered, exhausted, and uncomfortzble.

"You can keep lying to yourself. But don't lie to me cause I don't buy it," Lexi replied, glaring out the window now. She was already pissed. Her life was becoming an emotional roller coaster.

Krissy:

"Lie to myself about what exactly?" I demanded icily.  We rarely ever got in fights like this.

"One day of not eating CAN and WILL hurt you, Krissy," Lexi sighed, not wanting to get into a fight. She'd already had one with Krissy and one with Kyle. She was done for the day.

Krissy:

“No, I’ve gone days without eating before. And I already said I’d try once we stop.” I told her, tightening my grim on the steering wheel.

"And how great did you feel after not eating for that long?" Lexi countered, shrugging.
