Perfect Assassins

"Um, Krissy? Hate to burst your bubble but Kyle's gonna find out. You're not fat enough for us to hide it or anything and then what the hell are we gonna do with the kid?" Lexi brought her friend back to reality. "We're screwed."

Krissy:

I stared at her. “Lexi…” My heart beat sounded loud in my ears. “I’m not going to have a child.”  

"You're...You're not gonna have an abortion, are you?" Lexi demanded, standing.

Krissy:

I clinched my fist. “I can’t possibly have a baby Lexi… I can’t, and that’s assuming I’d live through nine months being pregnant, which lets face it, isn’t likely.” I said bitterly.

"You are a strong, beautiful, independent woman who is perfectly capable of having a child and raising it. And you won't be alone. You'll have me, Kyle, Michael, and Will to help you out." Lexi replied.

Kissy:

I shook my head looking at the ground.  "Let's just find out first, then decide what to do." 

((Back for a bit.))

"Fine. I'm gonna go out and get you a pregnancy test. I should be back before Kyle gets up but if I'm not, make some lame excuse about getting extra tampons for later or something," Lexi shrugged, turning to leave.

Krissy:

“You might want to get dressed first.” I said dryly. Any other time I might have found what she was wearing amusing, but at the moment I was too absorbed in misery. I went over to the bed and fell into the pillows face first, waiting for her to leave. Once she was gone I took my phone out and rolled to my back. My fingers dialed Michael’s number without me even having to think about it. I had tried to call him the night before but it had gone straight to voicemail. With a sigh I put my phone on the side table. I didn’t want to tell him what was going on, I just wanted to talk to him, to hear his voice and know he was okay. My eyes watered and my stomach turned again through thankfully there was no longer anything in it to throw up. I took the chain from around my neck and dropped the ring into my left hand. Closing my fingers around it, I squeezed the ring until the diamond solitaire cut into my palm.

I was still sitting outside, i guess i fell asleep out there. I stood up and stretched

Lexi changed and went out, walking to the market since it was only a five minute walk. She bought two different kinds of tests, one for her and one for Krissy (can never be too careful) and then started back.

Krissy:

I stayed in my room listening for any signs of Lexi’s return as well as sounds of Kyle getting up. I sat cross legged on my bed picking lent off with the ring strung back around my neck and tucked into my shirt.

Lexi got back into the house and handed Krissy one of the tests. "Go take it and tell me what it says," she said.

Krissy:

I went into the bathroom nervously. After I took it I sat on the counter waiting for the result to show up. I had barely a smear of hope that maybe I wasn’t; that maybe this awful morning was just due to a cold and that I had freaked out for nothing. I picked the test up and my heart sank. I’d failed. I sat there staring at it for a several minutes, too cold to move. What was I supposed to do? I had grown up thinking this could never happen, that I didn’t have to be careful. I heaved a sigh. Maybe I could lie to Lexi and say it was negative just so she wouldn’t try to convince me on what to do.

I walked into the house

Lexi waited by the bathroom door and after five minutes, she knocked. "Kris? You done? There's no way it took that thing five minutes to read your pee." she called.

Krissy:

I sighed and slid off the counter going over to the door. Letting it slide open I showed her the result then sat on the edge of the bathtub. “Well, excuse me while I drown myself.” I muttered, I was trying to stay dull and desolate but as I looked down at the tile my eyes swam with tears.

Lexi stared at the test for a minute, then her best friend before sitting next to her. "Hey. We're almost eighteen. We can handle this. Together, okay?" she asked, smiling gently and hugging Krissy. "And whatever you decide...." she paued, taking in a shaky breath. It went against everything she believed but... "even if you decide to get an abortion, I'll support you. Even though I'll probably want to throw myself out a window afterward for letting you."

???:

I set up the receiver to dial all of their numbers at once. This needed to reach all of them for the message to get across. Going over to the rifle I had set up I pulled back the bolt, before clicking the button to call. I heard the ringing briefly before it forced connection and speakerphone on all of the phones. "You have something I need, I want it immediately. Give me the information or everyday I will take out one person you care about, starting now. Hurry Jack is the first to fall." I hung up before looking through the sights at the back that was in my sights. I pulled the trigger and watched as the man collapsed. "Lets go Perfect Assassins."

((Fairly positive you said they were at least eighteen or nineteen Lexi... They are not still seventeen))

Krissy:

I let my phone ring in my pocket, whoever it was could wait. When the voice spoke I jumped and took it out. My hand shook when he hung up. Jack? He wasn’t really even with us. I sprung to my feet forcing all else out of my mind and pressed redial.

(Oh, duh. My bad. XD))

"The hell...?" Lexi mumbled, listening to the message. "I've got to wake Kyle. Get a hold of Will, Michael, EVERYONE we know and get them with us. We can't risk being apart any longer."

She hoped she was wrong about Melody being dead but even if she wasn't, it wouldn't be too long before she was.

And what did this guy want?!

Lexi ran into her and Kyle's bedroom.

Kyle:

I was sitting up on the bed looking down at my phone. Out of all the others that he could have picked, I liked Jack best after Lexi and Krissy.

"What the hell?" Lexi asked Kyle, looking almost frantic. "We can't lose everybody. What does this guy want? What information is he talking about?!"

Kyle:

“I don’t know.” I shook my head and pulled clothes out to change into. “But we better find out. Is Krissy okay?” I asked as I peeled off my shirt and replaced it with a dark green one.

((I meant to put that Krissy pressed redial by the way, kinda left that part out..))

((That's okay.))

"I don't know. I told her to try and get a hold of Will and Michael since they're the only two left that are alive at this point besides the three of us, that we know of," Lexi sighed worriedly. "And I don't want it to just be us on the run again."

Kyle:

I actually thought it’d be nice to have just the three of us again but I didn’t say it, that had always been a sticky subject between us. “Or we could find out what the hell this guy wants,” I said as I pulled on dark jeans. “And then kill him.”
