Perfect Assassins

"What kind of information could he want that would be important enough to kill people over? And what makes him think that we have it?" Lexi was so confused by all of this new information. She came back to life a couple weeks ago.

Kyle:

I shrugged. “Maybe on a target we’ve had, or possibly family..” I said thinking about the connections I had. “Anything really. We know quite a lot we shouldn’t.”

"But is that info important enough to kill us over? It's not like we're telling anybody but each other who already know," she practically yelled, her fists clenching and unclenching. She felt helpless, unable to do anything.

Kyle:

I shrugged. “What do our lives mean to him? Besides, he was making a point, so that why when he asks us what he wants, we’ll be more inclined to give it to him. What he doesn’t know is that mind tricks don’t work on us and what we’ll really be giving to him is two bullets in the head.” I went over to her, smoothed her arms, and kissed her forehead. “It’ll be alright, we just have to be careful. Besides, the ones who know the most in the group will be the last ones he targets.” I said. If I thought about it I could probably predict who he would go for if he had done his research, that didn’t mean he wouldn’t try to torture one of us. I frowned. “Where is Krissy?” I asked. She knew the most out of any of us.

"She's in the bathroom," Lexi replied. "We were...hanging out before we got the call. I'm worried, Kyle. I know you don't care about the others but Krissy and I do. We've already lost Melody...and me."

I tossed out my burn phone as i heard it ringing after stepping off the plane. My second target was here in this city, and i knew just were to look.

Kyle:

I sighed. “I know. It’ll be alright. We just have to find this guy, then it’ll be over.” I grabbed my back pack and slung it over my shoulder.

Krissy:

I stuffed my clothes into my bag after changing. This was a mess. I was already nauseous as it was and the fact that I couldn’t get in touch with Michael was doing nothing to help. Maybe since he wasn’t here with us he was safer. My eyes watered again and I accidently ripped the zipper on my bag while I tried to close it. I pushed the bag off the bed in irritation then tried wiping the tears off my cheeks.

Lexi grabbed her own pack and pulled it on, her arms moving through the straps until it was secured. "I'm not sure I WANT to find him..." she admitted softly.

Kyle:

I grabbed her hand and squeezed it lightly. “It’ll be fine. I’ll do it.” I pulled her out of the room. “Hey Krissy? We’re going.” I called in the hall way. Krissy came out of her room and kicked the door shut.

Lexi looked over at Krissy, her eyes wide with worry. "Let's get out of here, okay?"

Krissy:

I nodded and kept my hair down to hide most of my face. I didn’t need Kyle bugging if I was okay on top of everything else. I followed them out to the car and climbed in the back seat behind Kyle.

Lexi climbed into the passanger seat, fidgeting incessantly. She kept looking out the window, expecting someone to just run over and shoot up the car or something.

Kyle:

“Babe,” I said after a while. “For goodness sake can you chill out? You’re agitating me.”

"No..." Lexi whimpered, closing her eyes, trying to force herself to relax.

Kyle:

“It doesn’t do any good to worry or fidget.” I said as I turned the radio on low.

"Well I calm down best listening to music and singing along with it but someone doesn't like it when I do that so he's just gonna have to shut his f******* mouth and deal," Lexi literally growled, her fists clenched. She didn't know where that came from and she didn't want to start a fight but it was a long time coming and she meant it.

Kyle:

I scowled and my hands tightened on the steering wheel in aggravation. I opened my mouth to reply but Krissy cut in. “Just shut up. Both of you. I don’t feel like listening to your bickering.” She said. I glanced at her in the rear view mirror but the look on her face kept me quiet.

Lexi continued glaring out the window, tapping her thumb against her thigh in aggravation.

Kyle:

I let out an irritated breath to let her know I wasn’t pleased. “I swear if you two can’t calm down, I am getting out and driving myself. You’re giving me a headache.” Krissy snapped.

((Yes, they're in the car now.))

((I dunno. And hour maybe. Not much in other words.))

Lexi tried not to glare at Krissy at the mirror. She was her best friend and hadn't even told her she did it with Michael? Lexi had every right to be aggravated and pissed at...well, everyone.

Krissy:

I sighed and laid down in the back seat throwing my arm over my face. Now I had succeeded in making both Kyle and Lexi mad at me now as well as each other.
