Perfect Assassins

i used my good arm to hold her back down onto the stretcher. "lexi. look at me." i say softly, trying to be more calm than they were. "you need to xcalm down ok? your hurt."

Lexi looked up at Will, still freaking out but she had definitly calmed down. "Where's James? Is he..?"

"No. they called in on the radio, hes breathing still. he has lost a lot of blood, but he will be ok. they just got to the hospital when they called in." i saya nd look at her. "The only thing thats bad on you is your arm, they just need to stich it up and maybe give some blood, you lost some as well. just calm down ok? im here, james is ok. Only bad thing is we let Bane get away" i frown and sat down next to her.

"We didn't LET him do anything," Lexi growled, fists clenched. "I need to start hunting him down again. NOW. Before the trail is gone."

"you cant yet. actually us 3 cant yet. Especially James."

"Sure I could. Just patch me up and send me on my way," Lexi argued.

thats what i mean. We ned to patch everyone up."

"I mean now, Will. I HAVE to go after him now before he's gone forever then kicks our asses again," Lexi replied.

"No. your not going until they fix your wounds. We can find him later."

"But Will! We can't lost him again! This may be our only chance!" Lexi persisted.

I sighed and shake my head. "Lexi, we can find him."

Lexi glared at Will, her fists clenched. She wanted to murder Bane. He had hurt one of her closest friends and he was going to pay. "Fine. I'll rest. But only for now. Are we almost to the hospital?"

I nodded and look at her."Lexi i know your angry ok? i get that."

"Will. I've been through nothing but hell and back since my mom died. I have a right to be angry," Lexi growled.

"All of us, deserve to be angry Lexi. All of us have gone through hell, not just you."

"Yeah. But I'm the only one that died," Lexi replied, glaring at the door of the ambulance, wishing that she was anywhere but there. Wishing that Kyle was with her. Wishing that it was like the good old days back when they were just running around and living in safe houses together.

wait.. what?" i ask looking at her frowning

"I was dead, Will. Dead as a doornail for eight minutes..." Lexi sighed. "Rose told me...it was when they were...transitioning from me to her, our different mindsets."

i didnt know... im sorry." i say and they get her out of the ambulance. "Ill meet you out here as soon as im done, im sure your goign to take less time than me.. we can check on james afterwards ok?" i ask her once we were both out

"Sure. I guess," Lexi called to him as she was led off by the EMT guys.

they took me away as well

Lexi was almost to her room when the lights in the hallway went off. Her escorts looked around nervously. The windows' blinds were all shut and it was beyond dark.
