Boarding School for the Mythical

Tabitha:

I followed him. “Oh, I don’t eat meat.” I told him ruefully. Shade looked at me then put his front paws up on the cabinet doors trying to see what he was cooking.

I smiled. "I dintcknow if you did or not, but i think Shade and i can handle them on our own then." I said jesturing to the meatballs i had cooking in a pan. I leaned against the counter and smiled at her.

Tabitha:

I smiled. “Yeah. Poor baby, rarely gets it made for him. I only get it for him on special occasions, otherwise he has to catch it himself.” I leaned down to scratch his back lightly. “You thought he liked you before, now you just won’t be able to get rid of him.” I said with a wink looking up at Sphinx.

I chuckled. "Well if it keeps someone like you around, then i could use the interesting things in my life." I said winking back.

Tabitha:

I grinned and laughed softly. “Well I’m afraid you might be disappointed. My life may be chaotic but it’s not all that interesting.”

I smiled. "We'll see." I said before stretching upwards, the shirt pressing closer to my skin.

Tabitha:

I bit my lip watching him then forced myself to look away. “So tell me more about sphinx’s.” I said while looking around the kitchen.

I began explaining what little i knew about my own kind, my tail flicking absently as i also coninied to cook.

Tabitha:

“Hmm, I meant to look it up when I got back to my room last night, but I forgot when I ran into my roommate.” I said with a small laugh at myself.

I smiled and tilted mychead. "Why do you want to know so much about my race?" I asked curiously.

Tabitha:

“Not just yours. I like learning about the different ones. Like mine if fairly complicated, and I grew up steeped in that, so naturally I’m curious about others.” I explained, though it part I was mostly just curious about him.

I nodded and smiled, inspecting the food before getting three plates.

Tabitha:

“Can I help?” I asked as I restrained Shade from circling his feet.

Sphinx

"Its all done, so serve yourself and Shade." I said smiling.

Tabitha:

I let Shade go and went to dish him up. I set his plate on the ground and kissed him on the head before getting mine.

I smiled softly watchin her. "Youtwo make a cute couple." I remarked absently as i started eating.

Tabitha:

“We do don’t we?” I said with a smile looking down at Shade then going over to Sphinx. I took a bite. “Mmm, this is way better than my mama makes it.” I said happily.

I nodded, "well i have had a lot of time to perfect it." I admitted modestly. I watched her, wondering what made her so interesting to be around.

Tabitha:

“What do you mean?” I asked looking up at him curiously.

I looked into her pretty eyes. "Well...letscjust say that i have been here since america was."

Tabitha:

I blinked in surprise. “Oh. Well, you hide your age nicely.” I said flashing him a smile.

Sphinx

I chuckled. "We dont age after a certain point. I wont age but i can still die." I said with a shrug.

Tabitha:

“So.. Kinda like a vampire?” I asked. “How many of you are there?”

Sphinx

"Im nohing like a vampire. I dont have any weaknesses. And i dont need anything to keep me going. But as far as i know im the only one left." I said my shoulders giving a slight shrug.

Tabitha:

I frowned slightly. “What happened to the others?” I asked.
