I ahrugged again. "Sphinxes were hated by other creatures, and so we were hunted. The other creatures tollerate vampires because they help keep the humans from overcpopulating too much. Sphinxes arecimmortalc but we require nothing an so we were a threat. And well...history is written bycthe victor...so weclost with what little there is about us."

Tabitha:

My eyes were wide with sympathy. “That’s tough... Do you know what happened to your family?”

i finished my food and looked at my schedule

Adella and David parted ways and headed to their first period classes after the bell rang.

Name: Velaric Absenth
Age: He’s lived for close to seventy years but he was turned at age seventeen.
Species/power: Vampire, heightened senses, speed, strength, and he is utterly silent.
Other: Unlike most of his kind, he tries to fit in with the society, he doesn’t kill to drink blood, he usually gets it from a blood bank. He doesn’t like people knowing he is a vampire if he can avoid it so he takes daytime classes but stays inside only because the sun will burn him.

Velaric:

I in the back of the empty class room sleeping on my desk, I had been there since sunrise. I yawned and opened my eyes to slits when the professor came in flipping the lights on.

I was in my first class sitting silently, keeping my hair over my face.

Velaric:

I rested my head on the desk and closed my eyes again. When they next opened several students had filled it. The scent of salty skin and blood underneath it filled the room. I stopped breathing and focused on the black board. This would be harder than I expected.

I looked over looking at some dude, he looked tense. I grinned alittle bit. "whats eating you."

Velaric:

I squinted at the guy who spoke to me. “Uh, I didn’t have breakfast.” I admitted honestly. His blood had a metallic sent to it that, thankfully, didn’t smell appetizing. “And it’s.. Really bright in here.”

extremly pale skin, black eyes, veins visible when hungry. your not a good hider vampire." i say inspecting him. "i can tell that my blood doesnt seem apetizing. it would taste like poison to you"

Velaric:

I sighed and crossed my arms over the desk eyeing a pretty blond girl that just walked in. I glanced back at the guy. “You got a name?” I asked.

william. william goodnight." i say and slouched in my chair slightly. "my father created your kind."

Velaric:

“Is that so?” I asked then held out my hand. “Velaric Absenth.” I smiled slightly.

Sphinx:

I shrugged absently. "You learn to get used to it." I replied absently.

Tabitha:

I couldn't imagine being alone like that, not having my sisters and brother.  I shivered involuntarily at the thought.  "Well you know, if you get lonely you can always borrow Shade.  He makes a rather nice teddy bear." I said with a soft smile.  

Sphinx:

I laughed and looked down at Shade. "That he would, but I think more than that I might over heat him. I put off a lot of body heat."

Tabitha:

I smiled at him.  "Well he is used to sleeping under a massive feather comforter with me, so maybe not." I grinned down at my fox, his ears were back meaning he was listening to us and he didn't like it.

Sphinx:

"I sleep in sweatpants, or shorts. and unless there is snow on the ground I usually don't sleep with a blanket. I don't need one." I said with a shrug.

Tabitha:

"That must be nice.  I can't sleep unless I'm bundled up.  I get cold at night, and his temp is pretty cool." I nodded to Shade who was just finishing his food.  

I shake his hand. "nic eto meet you"

Velaric:

"You too." I said tiredly and laid back down on my desk.  "I can't wait for this day to be over, it's gonna be torture." I muttered with another glance at the blond girl. 

Sphinx:

I chuckled and crouched down to scratch being Shade's ears. "Well, I dont think he would want to leave your bed."

Tabitha:

I smiled down at them. “Well he likes you well enough. He’s never been this friendly with anyone besides me.” I said still perplexed by it.

Sphinx:

"Think of my race, an...evolution of a sorts from his." I admitted sheepishly.
